Any recommendations for material if we don’t have a source for solid countertop material?

Larry Satchwell any dense wood will work. When I make a jig/ template I make it with the idea that I will only have to make it once and it will last my lifetime. I have plenty of templates made of wood and MDF and ply wood some even out of plexiglass. In the next video you will se why I chose Solid Surface for this one. Again it’s not a requirement.

Eli Polite thanks, I think I do have some plexiglass somewhere.

Thanks for the offer. I've never worked with the stuff. I'm working on a desk build for granddaughter right now but the jig is next on the list. Can I glue plexi/acrylic with super glue?

This will take some thinking, my saw tilts the other way away from the fence. The fence won't go on the other side. Any way to make this work?

John Pierce do it exactly the same way. in the video I flip the block over once I have cut the angle. So the wide part of the angle is at the bottom of the jig. With the blade tilted away from the fence your still cutting the same 10 degree angle. When your cutting the actual wood your blade will be set at a 90 this will be covered in my next video. I’m worked my on it now
