Holly WOW! Nice videos you have on here! I am just plain jealous of what you guys post. I am 100% going to Panama before I kick the bucket. I can not think of one place in the world that gives you that type of fish selection 27/7. I love the fact you are using light tackle, what an amazing trip!
I really enjoy getting your videos. I usually watch them at least a couple of time. I also like your whole site. I have gotten some great gear from you. Keep up the great work. I go fishing through you every time I watch what you send. Thanks.......
I'm a 530 native can you guys do a viewer special trip? a rock cod episode would be nice with RH hosting would be an honor privilege. Keep On Keepin On angler West!!
zCaW Yes we did. I had to delete the original post due to some changes that needed to be made. I don't normally do that sort of thing but I had no choice. Sorry about that.
Lake Gatun is a fresh water lake. It is fed by the copious rain in Panama, which is release into the canal after the ship is raised the 85 feet from the ocean to Lake Gatun. The released fresh water pretty much pushes all of the salt water out of the "canals". There may be some salt water in the canal, but mostly fresh (rain) water.
There are different theories about the correct way to release fish but many believe that saltwater fish like this, head first quickly is the best way to go for the fish.
+Angler West TV ere are some species out there that fight, but those places are not accessible to me at all normally. If I'm in Argentina I will definitely do that, but where I live it's all about saltwater.
If you hooked a wild trout, either brown or rainbow, you'd think different. I've had 10-15 minute fights with 8-10 lb wild Browns. I fish both salt/ brackish and fresh. Both worlds offer different satisfaction. Some people just love to fish!!
you must not be the brightest because sturgeon can be like 15 feet and the fights you can have with them can be like 30 mins long and salmon fight really hard to in the rivers.

How is the Panama canal freshwater?

Michael H. Oh wow that's really interesting.

talk about under gunned I'm surprised the fish didn't die of a heart attack
Scent on a popper????
For the "product placement." Just advertising.
tolpacourt i'd be surprised if anyone bought into that.
Please treat the fish released with more respect than throwing then in like a torpedo..

Try Golden Dorado in Argentina some time. You might change your mind.

So I guess people that live anywhere that's not on the coast might as well just not fish? Lol
