Thank you for the great sharing. I've also used Modbus RTU with PM800, but I find Modbus TCP to be simpler. Thanks again!

Hi Dear, I have some power meters connected with 485 (Modbus RTU) with 485 to Ethernet converter. I wanted to fetch each meter data in CompactLogix via Modbus TCP AOI provided by Rockwell.
The AOI is successfully connected with Modbus TCP device ( Modbus Poll) but I am unable to understand how to get data of RTU devices.
Means how I can refer to individual slave ID reference in AOI configuration.
Would appreciate if you could help. Thanks in advance

@yariprince: This video is for Modbus TCP communication for the power meter. Are you using Prosoft Modbus module/gateway for Allen Bradley PLC to pick up Modbus data from your Modbus RTU power meters. If the AOI is for Modbus TCP, it will not work with Modbus RTU devices. You will need to import a new AOI for Modbus TCP. Also each slave device has to have a unique slave ID#.

@@SYPHOANG Right now I am using Kepserver with Modbus TCP driver to get the data from Power Meters with configuration . Slave ID.
I wanted to confirm if the Rockwell TCP AOI can be used to get the each Modbus RTU slave devices.

@yariprince: I am not sure what you mean for "Rockwell TCP AOI". (1) From my knowledge, I believe Rockwell itself does not make any Modbus module/gateway. (2) TCP is for ethernet communication instead of RTU for serial. (3) AOI is for Add-on Instruction in Studio5000 logic designer. Prosoft makes Modbus modules/gateways and provides AOI to make it work with Rockwell PLC's. However, Prosoft's AOI's for Modbus RTU modules/gateways are different from those for Modbus TCP modules/gateways.
