What model was the Technics you keep mentioning?

The 2.3 has another major change over the 2.2: it has a carbon-fiber tonearm. The 2.2's is an aluminum tonearm. The 2.3's kinda like a lesser Debut Carbon.
I've had my 2.2 for over five years, and I just recently put it back in my system while my Audio-Technica is in the shop. I've fallen in love with it all over again.
Amazingly enough, I got it new at Micro Center for 100 bucks and some change. They thought they were going to sell higher-end gear, but it didn't work out, so I watched this thing sit on the shelf for a year and a half before I finally bought it. Best bargain I ever took advantage of.

That's an amazing deal. I'm still really happy with the 2.2 and probably won't be changing it unless I win the lottery. I will say that in my oppinion the upgrade to the 20 stylus is well worth the money, especially if you need to replace the stylus anyway. Don't think I would go to the 30, I just can't see the sound getting that much better considering the price.

@@caffeinepowereddiversions2946 I got mine with the Music Hall Tracker on it. It was made for them by Goldring, who may or may not have had it made for them by Nagaoka. It finally gave out earlier this year, so I stuck an Audio Technica VM95ML on it. It was one of the only carts out there that was even close to what the Tracker weighed; the only OM our local store had was the OM-5E and I wanted to avoid that one because both it and the 2M Red are horrible for IGD.
