They are only about 30 mph slower. I wouldnt call that significantly slower. And these jet cars have less than half the hp of a top fuel car. And they dont require a full engine rebuild after every run. And jet cars are just an exhibition show and not a competition which makes them more impressive than top fuel cars in many ways.
@@kristianangeloni the USA NHRA has gone to alot of trouble to eliminate any record of them, when i was young i would see them at NHRA regularly run 350 mph in the 1/4, now NHRA does 1/8 mile, a NHRA dragster maybe does less elapsed time in an 1/8 mile...BTW the NHRA has continously been lying about thier horsepower for YEARS!! the last real dyno test was in the early 1990's at 3000 horsepower, they do break dynos after that, plus the tires can take the stress either. but the 10000 horspower is bulslhit becuase if 3000 horse = 310mph @ 4.20 then , 6000 would prolly be = 400mph @ 2.7 in the 1/ 4....remember the NHRA does the 1/8 mile now to further confuse us...acceleration is a poor representation of horsepower....besides UNLIMITED TRACTOR PULLS USE 5 NHRA MOTORS AND " PULL DYNO" ACCURATELY AT 5000- 7000+ HORSEPOWER

The weird thing about these cars is that the acceleration is slow but once their 25% away from the starting line they get f*cking fast!
how do they stay on the track, it's amazing
The engines are angled slightly downward, effectively pushing them into the track.

It’s funny you ask because I was thinking the exact same thing earlier. I honestly have no idea.

Nah they can pull at %95 around 750mph give or take depending on the engine on the rig
