The WHO….. “The Kids Are Alright” Tour 1989. Rich Stadium Buffalo N.Y……..Roger stands front/center and Jogged the entire time singing this song looking backwards like he was being chased.. He was 45 years old… AWESOME
After the concert the Who were being interviewed on the local radio station and the DJ asked the band…. “So what do you think about that new RAP music coming out”…. Roger Daltrey laughed and started to answer when John Entwistle said….. “let me answer this one….. It seems to me that if you can’t write music, can’t play music, can’t sing music, if you know absolutely nothing at all about music, well then, you do rap now don’t you”….. Then. Pete Townshend said….. “If Hitler was going to come back and torture the world again he would use rap music. Roger Daltrey laughed and said…. “Isn’t that the truth”
I am in my sixties. i grew up with queen. Loved them, this song was redone by pentatonics with no insterments. I took them 5 years to get it right, and they sounded great. You should check them out! PLEASE

Thanks for a great reaction. I suggested this because it gives you a feeling for the personalities which is a huge part of their success. Keith was so much fun he unfortunately died of it. John could stay calm through pretty much anything but Keith being silly. Roger was a great frontman with an incredible voice and that could lead to tension because he stayed away from the drugs & booze to protect his voice (not the norm in the 60’s & 70’s) and Pete & Keith did not. Keith was so famous for trashing hotel rooms Steven Martin has a hilarious sketch co-staring Keith that you can find on TH-cam. Steve is the manager of a rock star friendly hotel. Pete of course is that multi-talented genius every super group needs. He played multiple instruments, all very well, wrote the songs, produced and did most of the art (he was in art college when the band formed). Tommy is a great rock opera but the movie is terrible. Quadraphonia was a great rock opera with a great movie.
