To add my own shit story to the mix...
Once went to the toliets in my uni for a shit. There's 5 cubicles, 3 of them had out of order signs on them so I went in the end one.
Did a massive, sloppy. Can hear people queueing outside because there's only two to use. All's good. I'm a veteran with sloppies so I know you have to flush once after the shit, then flush again separately for the toilet roll, otherwise you risk it clogging. So i flush once, start wiping, turn around to find it has clogged. Water's gone right to the very top, like a milimetre from overflowing, with bits of shit floating about like ducks in a pond.
Now I'm quite an anxious person, so I was bloody worried there'd be a queue of people out there waiting for me to finish, then they'd see the monstrosity I'd left behind, then they'd look at the three 'out of order' signs, and think I was like some shitty sabouteur who had just blocked three toilets in a row. My mind is stupid like this but I was bloody panicking about it.
So my quick thinking solution was to try unclogging it with my hand. First I finish wiping and kind just place the used tissue on top of the toilet water. Then, I squeezed my hand into a fist, hoping that'd stop shit getting caught under my nails, then basically punched at the bottom of the bowl. This obviously caused water to overflow onto the floor though...which I hadn't planned for. My bag was on the floor so that now had my shit coated bog water soaked into the bottom of it.
It unclogged though, thank god. But my arm is now completely dripping and don't look nice. Need to get it to the sink, so i'm listening out to hear if there's anyone still outside. Seems like the coast is clear, so I go to move when the cleaner knocks on the door to the toilets (not the cubicle, the room itself) and calls in "anyone in here?"
I call back yes. And she says "ok." then goes silent. So I'm thinking "cool, she's gone to clean the other toilets first, then she'll come back. So I exit the toilet with a bag dripping at the bottom and my arm held out and...she's fucking standing there waiting.
Honest to god, I wish she'd have just laughed at me. I might then have been able to make a joke out of it, but she was very politely trying to ignore it all. At least I think that's what she was doing. Either way, I very quickly washed my arm, thinking to get the fuck outta there before she saw the spillage I'd left behind, then go wash it properly in a different set of toilets.
I haven't gone back to the library since. Do all my uni reading online now.
