I ate dirt sprinting on gravel at a USPSA match and landed on a Ghost Hybrid Holster. The mount stayed intact but the holster broke completely in half and collapsed, for which I’m actually grateful. At their prices, it was simple enough to buy a replacement shell.
@@TheHumbleMarksman the polymer one. I think the “fragility” (for lack of a better term) of the shell saved the mount... and gave me a little bit softer of a landing.
Currently for my IDPA CO gun I use a T-Rex Ragnarok with the belt slide. I was using a Blade tech lock for a bit, but it made the holster floppy when I would draw. I'll have to check out these holsters.
Coming from USPSA and SC, I've been using a Bladetech with the Ben Stoeger Boss hanger and thought I was satisfied due to the rigidity of the setup. Now that I started IDPA, using the Bladetech with the Techlock on a Nextbelt I am finding it to be too floppy and hanging up. Been using Ghost 360 mag pouches on my USPSA rig, so I think I am going to try this setup in IDPA as well.
For gun holsters I’m liking Muddy River Tactical or Crossbreed. For magazines I’m using a combination of Midwest Competition Works and Blackhawk. I intend to go all MCW at some point

I am torn, I carry leather for daily carry , but it’s more labor intensive for a IDPA so I end up Using a Comp Tac, but I am not happy with the fit and finish of the Comp Tac. I really like SafariLand , fit and ride is much better , but I struggle to find a regular open top SafariLand with out ALS or GLS.
I have a Civilian Elite for my Beretta LTT, which I like. The regular Civilian for my G19x is terrible!! I hate it. So I use a Safariland 5197. Perfect.
Hi mate, love the channel. Would you recommend the Ghost 360 D clip for IPSC production over the DAA XIP? I can get the Ghost for a cheaper investment than the DAA as it fits my 1.75 comp belt.
Ghost gear works fine - takes longer to set up but is fine functionally speaking. You won’t notice it on the clock - off the clock those extra features are nice when you travel
@@TheHumbleMarksman Thank you for the reply. Do you notice any difference in the 'new' 360 pouches vs the old ones? If I understand correctly the older ones were prone to cracking and had some retention issues. Or is it just the D clip that is new in these?
@@mps9649 the belt mount is smaller on the new ones. The pouches are the same - if you do bullets out you can crack the first pouch doing a lot of reloads - took me over a year

Technopolymer is marketing babble. They evade saying plastic that way which still has a negative connotation. They try to point to a more technical use in the industry.

I’m a comptac user holsters and mag holster,I like the separation between double mag pockets,good retention on the gun holster

I got 4 of the 360s with the the D clips. Love them! With the buy once cry once mentality, i got the Safariland 7390, love it as well.

I use Comp-Tac for holster and mag pouches for IDPA.
Classics
It’s still blade tech and Comp tac. But I prefer Master tac holsters.

Great info, do you get more holster wear with polymer or Kydex holster?
In my experience it’s about the same and if you let either get dirty I side it accelerates it
How do you pry out the spring to adjust can’t?
I use a screw driver to push in on the side and compress the little legs that hold it in the pouch
