Review:
My wife and I had a very fun week here at this adults only resort. Our main butler was Maria who was very helpful. All staff were pleasant are ready to help. We stayed in one of the cabanas which was very close to the upper pool. Rooms were clean and open, large bed, tv, tub, separate shower, walk in closet, large double sink, sitting area, and deck with two tanning lounge chairs. House keeping was done everyday and we were well looked after. Every supper is à la carte and the meals are great as long as you like pork, chicken, beef, & lobster. Breakfast is buffet and they will ask if you want eggs and bacon or ham. Lunch has the main bbq at sunset dining and snack area, there is a soup and different gilled items. You can also get pizza fries and other food items from the kitchen. The beach also has a lunch grill and a bar. This resort also gives you the option to go over to Grand memories for food as well although we never did. Just steps away is the main shopping area where you can find a variety of souvenirs and gifts, also restaurants that are not connected to the resorts. The beach was fantastic lots of seating a great view, sand is white and soft also a great place for a walk or run, sunrise and sunsets are great to view from the beach. Every night there is entertainment in the main lobby area. This is a smaller resort which gives them the ability to look after everyone very well and you won’t have any long lines.

I just booked for my wife and I as as honeymoon in January 2024, can't wait!!!! I read a lot on this resort and the comments are all exceptional which is very very nice for cuba!!! this means this resort is a absolute beauty!!!!
My wife and I are heading back in February. We had a great time last year. Make sure you pack a big mug for drinks at the beach as their cups are very small. Have a great trip!

@solace4114 There were shortages of drinks but there was always something to drink. Always water. At the beginning of our stay no beer so you have to be open to rum. Food was good when we were there again always something but you have to be open to different foods.

Was there in November, cockroaches everywhere, same menu every night for dinner . Beach is amazing,, beach bar serves amazing burgers and quesadillas. Go at your own risk.
That’s too bad about your experience. I was there in February and everything was clean and the food was great, and yes the beach and pools were amazing!
Is It better than melia cayo coco and paradisus rio de oro?
I can’t give comment to that as I have not stayed at either of those resorts. I have friends that have been to Meliá and they are coming to The Royalton with us in January

Yes there are lots of activities around the lower pool area the upper pool is a quite relaxing atmosphere. At night there are live performances in the main lobby with music! Lots of fun at this resort!

No reason to bring American dollars, they take Canadians ones lovely.
They don’t want Canadian change so at that point you are tipping in $5 bills. Take American dollars break it up. Canadian $5 are good for tips at supper.
Recycled food and bring your own toilet papers ????Bring large container for drinks and bug repelant ???? Are you kidding me ??? Do we have to prepare our own meals to ????What kind of vacation is that ???

If you want to spend triple or quadruple you can go to Mexico, Jamaica or DR. And no, you don't have to prepare your own meals there. First world people go down to Cuba and complain about first world problems depite being in a literal paradise. The food is bland, the paint is chipped, omg, no white wine??? first world problems bro. I always have an amazing experience down there because I'm not entitled and whiny. I'm there for the weather, the beach and wonderful hospitality. I love Cuba.
