As we’ve been traveling to Cuba, quite a bit, we do like sanctuary at memories. It is a lovely, lovely resort and has great people like you’ll find out the rest of memories too. If you stay at the sanctuary, you can use any part of the memories resort where if you stay at the other parts of memories, you could not use the sanctuary. We’ve also stayed at the resort just down the road starfish Cayo Santa Maria, it is a very nice resort too many upgrades to it , do you have UBS plug-ins for your phones and tablets. And resort has the same beach as memories does, actually owned by the same Financial investment agency. And most the time at the resorts on that strip of island, you only usually find Canadians and French Canadians. We have met a few other tours from different countries and other resorts. At one of them it was Czechoslovakians/Or Czech Republic something like that, but they pretty much kept to their own. And you’ll find a lot of these resorts. There is some English-speaking people there who are from Cuba and are very helpful if you need a translator. If I was going to Cuba, I would pick either one of these two resorts. They are very nice.
I was in Cuba 2 times and my first time was in that hotel, I really enjoyed it because in buffet was so much food I could eat!) and I’m going to that hotel in 22 days:)
It's 2 hour drive. If diving at night you won't see anything (go to sleep). But if during day it's very interesting to see how Cubas live and nature (drive went by fast)
Thank you from Montreal. We are going there at the end of the month of may with sunwing. In april we went to grand memories cayo largo. Playa sirena is gorgeous and definitely we will go back there. Last year we went to Holguin and before to cayo coco, cayo guillermo.
Thank you, this is the best video about cuban Resorts very well explained and detailed. Especially about the tipping/gifts. I hear a lot that we have to Tip and take gifts but never really understood in dept what to take as gift. Question, did you see any Coconuts and green Limes at the resort or market? Did you tip and left a gift every single day of your stay?
Hi and thanks for feedback glad you liked the video! I never seen lemons or limes in Cuba in all my 4 times there! For lemonade they use flavoring. Coconuts they have, even at the resort but I think you need to pay few bucks for it. Tips $1 for breakfast lunch and dinner. For changing of the rooms with $1 and a present we did every other day. (Ask them for do not clean sign on day 1) but tipping is your choice! I rather tip and have that as part of my vacation budget.
@@ontarioroadtrippingsorry but tourists made big mistake with tipping! Cubans wants more and more money! Sorry, i am against any tipping! I was in the states, and we stayed at Holiday in, 😊never tipped and it was ok!
What is throughy sad. Is the gorgeousness of their beach. I wish we in Canada could claim it as our Province. But the people there outshine the country and its debilitated infrastructure. Thise people are so happy they truly are the sweetest. Ever! Apart from that communism is cancer. And they don’t deserve to live like this. I can’t go back to cuba for the simple fact that its harm to humanity is great. 😮😡😡😡
Gracias por la explicación es maravillosa voy a ese resort el mes próximo ❤❤

It's a great hotel and I agree surprisingly lots of good food (considering they are farr from main land)
Thank you for the info/video - how long a drive from the airport to the Hotel? Going in Sept.

Thank you for this video ! So its 5 hours in total back and forth to Havana ?
Yes, but the drive is very interesting and beautiful (if in daytime)
If you like going there, just travel to the sanctuary at memories you’ll find there is so many more upgrades
The beach there is no sand to lay down?
There is, plenty of space
