Sunset grill was open 24hs and you can get snacks there. A lacart was very good.

Great question. I know there are no elevators or ramps, as far as mobility devices I did not see the guest using any. But the staff definitely move around in electric carts.

I would definitely go back, but we have gone there for the past two years and next year will be going on a cruise with our kids. The only issue with Cuba is they are having some hard times and some supplies they are short on. Toilet paper and beer were the issues this time. There is always rum which we love so the beer was not an issue for us.

Situation now with economy is very bad I just got back I been in royalton varadero is not worth the money only beaches is fabulous.........if you noticed not many people around Don't go for now

@@hanan3730 That's to bad to hear, we were at the Royalton in Cayo SantaMaria Feb 7 - 14 and there were lots of people. Some supplies were hard to get but everyone was having a great time.

I don’t remember the room number exactly but if you were to look towards the beach at the lower pool our room was in the row of rooms to the left in the last unit at the far end. Go up the stairs to the second floor and our room was the first door at the top of the stairs.

It worked well for me. I now have putting lane in my basement with a ball return.

My wife and I are heading back in February. We had a great time last year. Make sure you pack a big mug for drinks at the beach as their cups are very small. Have a great trip!

@solace4114 There were shortages of drinks but there was always something to drink. Always water. At the beginning of our stay no beer so you have to be open to rum. Food was good when we were there again always something but you have to be open to different foods.

That’s too bad about your experience. I was there in February and everything was clean and the food was great, and yes the beach and pools were amazing!

The resort is great and the food is great too. I will be going back!

If you want to spend triple or quadruple you can go to Mexico, Jamaica or DR. And no, you don't have to prepare your own meals there. First world people go down to Cuba and complain about first world problems depite being in a literal paradise. The food is bland, the paint is chipped, omg, no white wine??? first world problems bro. I always have an amazing experience down there because I'm not entitled and whiny. I'm there for the weather, the beach and wonderful hospitality. I love Cuba.

I can’t give comment to that as I have not stayed at either of those resorts. I have friends that have been to Meliá and they are coming to The Royalton with us in January

Yes there are lots of activities around the lower pool area the upper pool is a quite relaxing atmosphere. At night there are live performances in the main lobby with music! Lots of fun at this resort!

They don’t want Canadian change so at that point you are tipping in $5 bills. Take American dollars break it up. Canadian $5 are good for tips at supper.
