Micro CRT from camcorder viewfinder

    Thank you so much. This is almost exactly like mine, been trying to figure out what to do with that one wire (not-ground, not-power, not video) and I see you just left it unconnected and it still works, quite well I must say. On mine, the video wiring is a coax wire with the shield being the ground. (made it easy to find ground) Power was almost as easy just by tracing the circuit on the board to a capacitor. Video had to be the center wire of the coax and that left the last wire to figure out,,,,,,seems as it is not needed.

    In my experience, crt view finders are not ver voltage wise because the most I have ever shocked myself in this manner was a bit if painful jolt, but I imagine that some of the larger 2 inch CRT's may show a different story.

      This viewfinder is powered by 5V. If you have different model you can use regulated power supply and start from 3V and go up and check on which voltage it lit up and work stable.
