Are there any local Filipino Digital Nomads? I went around Siargao Island in the Philippines and I asked digital nomads how they make money.
As we all know, The Philippines is commonly know for it's great force of online workers, in particular Virtual Assistants. So I was wondering, can we find some local filipino digital nomads here in Siargao Island in the Philippines? I went to some local restaurants in General Luna and succeeded in finding some really interesting people who gave me their time to have a chat about how they make money, if they like their job, and what their digital nomad lifestyle is like outside of their job.
I'm really excited to show you the conversations we had. Enjoy these conversations and learn about the possibilities of working online and being a digital nomad!

Technically you're a digital nomad when you travel overseas and work remotely.

As a Filipino, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving day here in the Philippines. 😂 Maybe his work caters America that's why he observed their holidays. But in the Philippines we celebrate all holidays except Thanksgiving day.

Oh really! That’s good to know😂 You have Fiesta which is way more awesome than thanksgiving! I was in Siargao during Fiesta and people just open their houses for food to everyone! The most welcoming and generous thing I have ever experienced!❤️

I'm a digital nomad as well but I can't do what they're doing even if my pay is more than double than theirs. I have a family in Manila and I'm not as young as them. So sad lol

These people are not digital nomads which is someone moving to a foreign country working on a computer remotely. These Filipino are basically remote work from home workers as their still in their home country.
