Can’t wait to see this kid shine in mlb. Think he’s got a bright future in the sport. Already purchased his prospect card in anticipation of his success .

This is a Sal Freilick with a slightly better bat I think he is so close to Sal as a player that anyone who actually likes baseball will tell you that that is a very good thing. Sal to some Brewers fans does not make the grade but to anyone with eyes who watches the game can see Sal has great value to a franchise and in that so does Durbin . Durbin has big upside with a high floor. His size has been his hinderance the entire career but when he swings it matters and meets bat. The guy is also a Golden Glover in the infield in coming seasons. He fits in the Brewers system better than anyone you could think of . This was a big piece to get for Williams .
The Yankees who have yet to see Williams pitch will be amazed. He is truly special and one of a kind . You have a special player in Williams most of the time. However do not count on him to win you big playoff games. HE shrivels in those places. He doesn't know how to elevate his game when the pitches matter most. Though he does pitch so wonderfully that he normally does not ever have to elevate his game. When it is needed in the biggest matchups however Williams has a way of shrinking. Most of the time though he shuts people down. You just got 10 more wins because of Williams and that should be enough to be wildly happy about the acquisition.
It is not like Yankee fans actually like the prospects they have in the Farms. Your franchise hates prospects more than any team in baseball. So this is no loss for you guys and girls. You buy everything you have so developing players is a foreign mindset to this fanbase and franchise. So losing a talented player like Durbin is not really a loss. So be it. Williams blew the Mets series for us and the AZ playoff series before that. The guy sucks in the playoffs and we have Craig yoho and Trevor MeGill to close things down without Williams so the lack of need for Williams is real and it was time to move him even if it was not his last season.
Good luck to Airbender. We both loved watching you pitch here and suffered it at times. In most people's minds here you were better than Hader and helped this Crew become the team it is today. So there is nothing but love for Devin Williams . Now we have to hate him though. No one who is not a Yankees fans can cheer for any Yankees player.
At least Durbin is free of this and can now be a player for all of baseball instead of just a story for underline NY Podcasters and pressers . He is free to be loved. No one loves the pitcher we got. He is just a body but Durbin was a find I believe.
