I was a freshman at Tech in 76, and that ND game was something special. Not one pass thrown!

Was a senior then. Graduated in March 1977.

That homecoming was one of the greatest games I ever went to. Tech players got a standing ovation at the half and they were behind! We all thought if we only loose by 10 that would be ok. I still remember the party after the game. Well actually most of it anyway :-)

Great video. Anyone have 1974-75 or know where I could get those films?

1976: UGA 13 - GA Tech 10. 1977: GA Tech 16 - UGA 7. 1978: UGA 29 - GA Tech 28. 1979: UGA 16 - GA Tech 3. Only 1 of those years was the weather decent (1978, sunny but cold). Football was so fun to watch back then.

I think it was the 1978 game that two opposing kick off returns went all the way, if not mistaken. Drew Hill for GT. I listened to the 1976 GT-GA game on the radio, and remember Munson talking about the dense fog. Alan Levitt made the game-winning FG.

@@joltinjack - not quite. 3rd quarter: UGA Scott Woerner 72 yard punt return TD . On the kickoff, GT 101 yard TD Drew Hill. 4th quarter: Belue to Arnold 42 yard UGA TD pass: GT 28 - UGA 27. 2 point conversion UGA Belue to Arnold pitch: 29 - 28 UGA. Munson called for the UGA Broadcasting Network. Al Michaels called for ABC Television. Our seats were in old South Isle 12, Row 54, seats 5, 6, 7. It's now Section 126. ...and GT coach Pepper Rodgers wore a hat.

How convenient. Start w/1976 and leave out the preceding two years. THWG

I believe it was a Scott Woerner punt return for a TD followed by a Drew Hill kickoff return.
