  • North Yorkshire Moors Railway class 25 ‘rat’ heritage diesel locomotive Sybilla D7628 or 25278 after TOPS came in, this locomotive entered service in 1965.
The locomotive is seen here replacing the BR 9F steam locomotive at the head of our train at Grosmont Station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and then the filmed section is Whitby station to Grosmont on the uphill gradient on the Esk Valley mainline back towards the preserved railway to get some nice sound of the diesel locomotive working. Steam locomotives also do this run, and the full run from Pickering to Whitby is a fantastic day trip, which I would highly recommend if you haven't done it or you're at a loose end on a sunny day.
Full details and more photos of my day on this great Yorkshire steam railway can found here:

For more information about the railway, for timetables and to book tickets you can do that via the railway's own website here: www.nymr.co.uk/
At no point was any of my body or my phone out of the carriage and the window was only open a couple of inches to allow the sound to be heard.
