Decorative thread and a 3-thread wide stitch to finish edges. Watch hanging pocket video below and use the same stitch to finish short edges. It’s a good idea to serge short edges of this ruler pocket once you get set up for the hanging pocket, and then use the same stitch for dowel rod cover.
