- A mother has been stabbed to death and her son and husband were stabbed multiple times due to their pro-Palestine views
South African Grayson Beare has been charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder over the incident which is also being investigated as a hate crime.
South Africa has a consistent stance in support of the Palestinian cause and instituted proceedings against Israel at the ICJ, accusing Israel of violating the 1948 Genocide Convention through its military actions in Gaza.
However, not all people in South Africa draw a direct parallel between the former apartheid regime in South Africa and the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.
South Africa has a history of white supremacy and a Zionist community - that have made South Africa their home for a long time.

There is a little "tradition" or saying "frum it up" which is among Jews means to make it more, add to it, perfect it more so. So a religious Jew will add to dietary laws more to the rules, more effort, more decoration etc. The idea is to be more religious every time the holiday or practice comes up. "How can I be more religious, how can I honor god more, how can I follow the laws better?" So this can become a kind of OCD thing like where you're at with something is not enough, do more. Increase more effort, more rules keep finding ways to add to it or take away. So it's easy to see how that can become a pathos and I wouldn't doubt that taken politically that tradition, that advice is how Israel went from being immigrants, to squatters, terrorists, taking their so called "dream state" into an apartheid nightmare of evil by misusing frumming it up over the decades to increasing hate, paranoia,violence, entitlement bit by bit.
