  • In this Video. I start the Electric bed lift framework and make the wall panels.
    This project is a VW Crafter MWB 177ps Camper/Adventure conversion
    6mm Birch faced plywood from local Timber merchant

    It is going to have a electric bed that raises up into the roof, and I need to make it so it accommodates two dog units, Im going make my own roof rack to suit my Kayaks, solar panel and side awning.
    Im going make its swamper/overlander style.
    A outside shower unit will also be attempted !
    100mm Fleece insulation (recycled bottles) from B&Q same product from camper suppliers but half the price.
    6mm Dodo thermal/sound mat from amazon
    4mm foam with vapour barrier from amazon
    Altro flooring available from any local flooring shops 2m wide rolls x any length. Many colours available.

    Just binge watched all your videos, fantastic build.
    What size is the bed frame? I am planning on making the jump from a T6 to a Crafter and debating if an MWB is big enough.

      Thanks, still lots more to come and some alterations. The bed is 6ft long x the with of the ceiling. I can measure properly if you need the size. I had a T6 and went bigger to the crafter. I find the MWB great as it easy to drive and park, and I use it as a day van, I don’t think id use the LWB as much. Also I don’t have to be careful on weight as I would with a LWB. Hope that helps.

      Im using Project 2000 kit, the next video is on the Altro flooring and wall panels, but the video after is on the bed lift including install and the price etc.
