Nice shots! The routine days out in familiar territory are some of the toughest to get going.

Do you plan on getting the new Voigtlander 18mm f/2.8?

Yes, I should have it in a couple of weeks, along with the 50mm f1.2. I'll be putting videos out on them.

I just bought the 18mm and used it this past Saturday. I took that and two other lenses…never took the 18mm off the camera. So fun and easy to use. Great image quality too!

I took delivery of this lens yesterday and so far I find the image quality excellent. Optically it’s a great lens but I’ve noticed one odd thing. At f2 the viewfinder shows that the aperture is at f2 but when I review the images in playback mode on the camera and import the images into Capture One it says that the aperture is f22? Very strange.

Yup, had a similar experience with the F1.2 lenses reporting f0.5 when wide open. Seems to be an issue reporting EXIF data when wide open.

The issue makes no difference to the image quality so I’m not concerned. The rendering of the lens is so good I think this will stay on my XT-5 as a go to walk around lens. Thanks for your review, it gave me the push I needed to make the purchase and I’m so glad I did. Seriously considering the 18mm f2.8 at some point. Enjoy your photography.
