Having the option of responding in different languages is not confusing. I speak both English and Spanish. I received messages in both languages and it's great to select in what language to reply. I think that is incredible.

Yep. Its not confusing if you speak more than one language! It makes total sense actually. I am guessing the video maker only speaks English.

The language option makes sense for multilingual users. If I receive texts in more than one language it does make sense for me to be able to select which language I need to use when replying. I use three different languages spanish - english - Italian
With messaging I think the language switch feature should be there since some people may have friends or family who speak different languages and you may need to switch it for certain people.
Doug Draws I agree. If anything, it being there isn’t hurting anybody and for those who need it, they will be pleased for the ease of switching languages. Not sure why he thought it being on the app was the best option because it isn’t.
Exactly what I was just about to write. Anyone who uses multiple languages through the day will find it much more useful to have the feature right there on the watch, so that they can respond to each message in the appropriate language.
I honestly would have never though about this however I am not bilingual. This does make a lot of sense.

I think the language option on the reply menu is great. Cause, if you have english and spanish speakers as contacts, and, say, you're taking a shower and your phone is set in english but you have to reply in spanish, you can then select the language you wish to dictate in. If it were in the app, you couldn't reply in a different language

Just to let everyone know about using your fitbit versa 2 with an iphone - the responding to text messages will only work with android phones! It would be nice if this would
work with iphones too! This is very dissapointing!!

I completely agree, I work in a company where I constantly switch between french and english and this is a great feature.
I have the new versa 2, the only option i have showing on my watch in receives messages is, clear or clear all, no archive or reply etc option . How can I set this up? Thanks

Hi, can you not set it up so when the phone is on silent the watch will vibrate, otherwise what's the point of having a notification watch if the watch doesn't even vibrate when the phone is on silent, thanks

Yeah! On my Versa (not 2), I have had my phone on silent every second of every day since I got the Versa because now I get a wrist vibration instead of hearing my phone. LOVE IT! If that changed with the Versa 2 that would suck!!

My versa 2 only says message to tell me that I have a text message. Can you not actually read the message on the watch? I am getting text notifications, but I have to go to my phone to actually read the message.
I can read all my emails, but I really want to be able to read my texts and quick reply to those on my wrist.

I noticed that WhatsApp calls and video calls are not alerted on my versa 2. Is there someway I can change this so they are alerted?
I have a Fitbit charge 3 and you have to go onto notifications on your Fitbit app and allow notifications from whatsapp, also make sure whatsapp is default message alert
Got one in 2022 and Fitbit doesn't get notifications for text messages. Tried everything, but nothing works. Fitbit app looks different than yours. Yours look nice.
I was thinking of buying this, and the language change setting is great! I reply mostly in Italian and French, so it's great to be able to do that. Is that voice recognition in those languages then?

The thing is you cant answer it. It only shows that someone is calling you or missed calls.
The only thing is when I get a message the only option is to clear it is there anyway to change that?

After getting a message the only option I have on my watch is to "clear." :( I am not able to do anything else. Could you suggest a way to fix this? Quick replies is not an option in my Fitbit app . (it is there but I can't click on it)

Mine doesnt have that option. When i get a notification on my watch it only has 2 options . Open on phone or clear . No option for quick response.

Is there a way to reply using a full keyboard or are you limited only to quick replies and voice to text?
It has the option for different languages so if you actually are bilingual and are replying to a person in Spanish or whatever, the Fitbit will be able to recognize the language and reply in Spanish.

I’m looking for how to setup the notifications for what’s app and Facebook messenger on my versa 2 with my iPhone 12. Because this video has a box for the iPhone in the background, I expected an explanation for the iPhone, but this video only covered android. Why stage your background with something you don’t even go over?

I think that it's weird of how they didn't put a Haptic Feedback button on the Versa 2 but they did to the Charge 3 (which I have)

I have the same problem (Versa 2 in Android phone) all the notifications configuration are correct but the calls are not reflected on the screen, only the missed calls. I can not find how to solve the problem 😩

Thanks. About the language selection. I found it good because maybe you speak to different people in different languages. And changing that, I think that makes the messages more precise.

Have you run into trouble of after you respond a few times via voice it stops working? This happens to me after a longer conversation...then I have to restart my fitbit
How did you get all of that to work? I have the galaxy S10+ and I have set all my notifications and pop-ups and view content and all that set to "on" on my phone and the notifications on the watch set to the right ones but it is still not working. Sometimes I get the notification on my watch that I have a text message but it goes right back to the watch face when I select to open the message. Sometimes it opens the message on the phone instead of the watch. I have tried several times resetting, reinstalling, restarting.... what the heck gives, man? Any other suggestions?
I cant read messages on my Versa 2. I get the notification, the option to open, and when I tap "open", a message comes up that says it "cannot execute". How do I fix it? I have a galaxy s8.

@@leekastor1362 no. I've given up. No one that I know that has a versa 2 has figured it out either.
@@judes099 I actually found a fix that might help you. If you use a different messaging app (like Messages from Google), it might eliminate all your problems. I did this and now my watch gets all the messages and I can voice reply and everything. Hope it helps!

It is still strange because my Amazfit Pace buzzes me on messages (sms, whatsapp, skype etx) even on bedtime mode on iPhone.

Why even have the "call notification" on a fitbit if you can't answer it? Waste of time and product. Apple has the option to answer it. Will buy apple next time for sure!

I just got mine. I have an Android Galaxy s9 and only have the clear or open, then it opens on the phone not the watch. How can I view the whole message on my watch? I bought a cheaper one on Amazon looks just like the Fitbit versa 2 and I can read fb and text messages. I might just take this back and keep my forty El cheapo watch please help if you can thanks husband's got it for an early Valentine's day gift

Download Google messages it works just fine. I'm able to view and respond. Fitbit versa 2 does not like messaging+

can you send a new message without touch the smartphone? if you ask to alexa "send a message to mom and say hi mom", it send the message itself? or you can use alexa writing method only for answer to one message/whatsapp?
Alexa does not support messaging.

You can change it to notify you when on silent...
In Fitbit app go to....
General settings
Notifications
Vibration settings
Always vibrate. (Even if phone is in do not disturb or silent mode)

Also make sure your time on your device and phone are the same. I wasnt able to receive calls or text on my device and this worked for me. I have a samsung galaxy 7
