The phone is the epitome of manual photography on a phone. And I like to shoot in manual because I have more liberty in calibrating the photo during photography and post editing is never a deal breaker for me. This is actually the phone for me. I just hope 4k stabilisation would improve thru some updates.

It is also the only phones with Pixel 3, which supports camera IP2 of the third level !! You can not claim that there is a camera in a smartphone that is the best in everything !!

I agree. But it's really for people who fairly serious about thier photography. Yes out of the camera they don't look as good as other flagships. But the level of unsharpened detail higher. And it has very good colour reproduction. If you shoot manual and like to edit your own pictures. This is a very good phone.
Damn, Sony is closing the gap! I hope they continue to make these unique form factors and buck the trendy shit. YOU DO YOU SONY! Ever since the Sony Xperia line came out I've been a fan of their unique flair and, other than the price hike, i haven't been disappointed. Just listen to the customers and continue to improve, like the same quality sensor on all 3 cams, and slightly better processing (esp on the front shooter) would make this the hands down champ. I can't wait to get back in school and learn how to create camera software processing, I'd love to be able to take what Google does and perfect it to a triple lens camera while having a gradiant slider to get the saturation and sharpness exactly where you want it with the simplest of steps with a default Auto shooter that is technically just right. I think I just have an affinity for Japanese cameras and tech in general. I've always been impressed by their culture and philosophy. I just want them to succeed so badly because I think they WILL invent THE perfect camera phone.... They are so close. The price tho, you gotta make a comparable alternative that rivals the Google Pixel 3a. Then you will be Godzilla of cars and phones. What's cooler than that?!

Yes. It delivers natural photos with excellent colour reproduction and detail without sharpening it up for you. Perfect it you want to edit the pics yourself.

It overheats after extended use and closes the app, I had it continuously record in 4k and it stopped after the 3 hour mark, ambient temps were low also.
@@thetechrealist yea. Based on Video There Were Only 3 Aspect Ratios Avaliable For Pictures and 21:9 Was Not One Of Them. I Guess 21:9 Is Only Used Entirely For Video. I Hope That This Can Change From Software Updates.
@@akshay5569 lol no, the Xperia 1 had a super shitty camera , the xzp even still takes more crisp images with better detail than X1 3 (which is my current phone) It's due to the fact that they downgraded the mega pixels
Pls just get yourself a REAL camera instead of a phone & if you already have a real camera, then most top tier phones have about the same good quality photos & it really doesn't matter

While so many phone companies are trying to trump each other by catering to the public Sony's phone has kept it's eye on a futuristic design philosophy. What amazed me is that my Xperia cases arrived today and they are both not as tall as the battery case i am using for my Galaxy S8+. Wow!!!🤣🤣🤣 I was worried about the phone fitting in my pants but not anymore. Looks like the bezels are not that big after all.
I would much rather have bezels than a notch or hole in the screen! The aspect ratio is great to me. I've had the X1 for a week, and I love being able to use open two apps at once. It's also great for watching movies in 21:9, again with no notch or hole!

I've heard if you change the code from h265 to h264 it fixes the stabilization issue. Can you confirm this?

The rumour that I heard was that Sony had to purchase sensors from Samsung as requested by Samsung in exchange of the 4K HDR OLED screen.
Sony the only one with 4k screens on phone since the xperia z5 premium doubt they need samsung. Sony also makes their own oled screens

I kinda feel like the XZP might take way better pictures and video with its single lens, i am low key considering to return my xperia 1
