In JCO, if you buy one drink, you'll get free 1 basic donut. Just ask the waiter or just take it if they give you that. Oh, and usually we say 'Je Ko' by the way 😁

@@thechamp7015 not everybody is pure bloods you know, we have some mixed here and there..i have upperclassman who looks like him but he came from Palembang, while i also have friend who supposed to looks like mixed between Asian and Black (with afro hair) even though he came from Batak. I also have friend who mistaken as Papuan even though he is a sundanese. Me myself, looks like a Chinese even though i'm Javanese..do i have Chinese blood in me? Who knows,.
@@thechamp7015 there are some Chinese who looks like a local, Fanny Fadhila is an example for that,.not all chinese in Indonesia should looks like a typical Jakartan Chindo you know, some of them like China Benteng, or some Chinese in Kalimantan they looks like a local,.just do your reseach,.

If you are in Jakarta, you should visit:
1. PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk) especially the Pantjoran Chinatown
2. Ancol (the theme park and beach)
3. Kepulauan Seribu (the islands off Jakarta coast)
4. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and Snowbay Water Park
5. Taman Ismail Marzuki (art centre)
6. Shopping malls (such as Central Park, Pacific Place)
7. Monas, National Museum, Istiqlal Mosque and Cathedral (they are close to each other)
8. Kota Tua (the old Jakarta during colonial era)
9. Nearby cities outside Jakarta such as Bogor (it also has plenty attractions)

did you know that Jakarta is the only capital city in southeast asia that has multiple islands with beautiful white sandy beaches and coral reefs, they are called a thousand islands (kepulauan seribu) in north jakarta. You can go there via ferry from the Kali Adem Muara Angke Port

while still in Jakarta, try to come to PIK 2, Skypark Senayan, City Forest and Jakarta Fair because these are places that must be visited while in Jakarta..

If you want good coffee, go to Tanamera or Anomali. They also have pretty nice venue for work. Try out local authentic foods, desserts, and drinks...idk what your travel plan and duration in Indonesia, but Indonesia is like Europe, from west to the east you would find that each province is like a different country to eachother so are the foods. A tip to explore the food: separate the islands rather then the provincial foods...for example the foods in Java island aren't too different from eachother but if you compare Javanese foods vs Sumatran foods, they're completely different and so on. This way you don't need to try all 38 provinces' traditional foods.

@jjryan1352 +1 on the elementary kids field trip lol. For me, it's just a complex of museums, and usually museums are not the places you'd want to visit if you are a tourist.. Might as well book a train/fly to other cities and experience it yourself

Nasi Goreng (“fried rice“) made with kecap manis, shrimp paste, garlic, shallots, tamarind, and chil
Sate Ayam (chicken) seasoned, skewered, and grilled chicken meat served with a sauce. Best is Madura variation
Sate Padang is a beef satay served with a thick yellow-brown sauce1
Ayam Goreng (fried/grilled chicken) isrubbed in a spice mixture made from a multitude of ingredients like garlic, shallots, turmeric, lemongrass, bay leaves, and galangal before being deep-fried. Ayam goreng Menado (north sulawesi island town) was once named as best ever fried chicken by top world chefs many years ago.
Gado-Gado = salad made with slightly boiled, blanched, or steamed vegetables served with a peanut sauce dressing and with hard-boiled eggs, potatoes, bean sprouts, tofu, tempeh (cooked fermented soybean caklet) and krupuk ( cracker made from starch or animal skin)
Soto soups made with meat and vegetables, each region with own variation
Sop buntut is a delicious and hearty oxtail soup
Rujak is a traditional Javanese fruit and vegetable salad dish y made with sliced fresh fruits and vegetables served with a spicy sugar palm dressing. Rujak tastes tangy, sweet, and spicy thanks to the dressing made from ground chilli, palm sugar, shrimp paste, and peanuts.
Rendang, a meat dish made with beef or others which is slow-cooked for several hours in coconut milk and spices until it becomes tender.
Bakso - Indonesian springier meatball made from finely ground beef mixed with a small amount of tapioca flour and salt.
Siomay fish dumplings served with a peanut sauce, a derivative of Chinese shumai
Tumpeng is a Javanese cone-shaped rice dish served with a multitude of sides on a banana-leaf

Hi jayesh ... there are many places you can visit or food to eat in jakarta, I recommend you to go to some malls in jakarta along The city center... u can find traditional indonesia food resto like Kafe Betawi, Remboelan, Seribu Rasa, Solaria... And more, You can google it where to find it the closest from hotel you stay.. try Sate Ayam (barbeque chicken with peanuts sauce), Nasi Goreng (fried rice) mpek mpek (fish cake) and many many more.... Do you still in jakarra now? Till when? Maybe I can bring u strolling around jakarta on weeknd only coz I have to work
