this is the best demo vid Ive ever seen,I like the pedal, but the informality ,humility ,humorous and actual information transferred to the viewer is spot on! , Metal On!! 😎🤘
Been way too long since NICK graced us with his “Shredness!” Always my Favorite Sweetwater presenter and Musician! This pedal is INSANE!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's like it has this HM2-ish/Marshall blend thing going. If anything i hear more 80s thrash metal tones (Marshall) than i do HM2. I like it, it doesn't sound like just another distortion pedal. I'm all about it.
Cannot get enough of Sir Nick. And I’m so jealous. Dude gets to make funny, informative and addicting videos playing guitars and pedals and all things rock. And gets paid for it. Dude you’re stealing money. Good for you! Thanks for all the great Sweetwater videos!!! Oh yeah, that pedal sounds great. Have to get one someday.
I must have missed the part where it sounds like a dimed hm2. I would get this as a first dist pedal due to the variety of dist textures, but I would get a Behringer hm2 if I didn't have an original hm2 and wanted that sound. The only way to settle the question is a-b through a switcher. PS I'm a huge ehx fan, annnd, the ehx people make the best demos anyway. The upside is that I bought all 3 of my ehx pedals from sweetwater, and nick still has the best video with the satchel interview
Neither of the currently available videos actually demonstrate any chainsaw capabilities. Even here, dude said, “chainsaw tone, as you’ve already heard.” WHERE?
@@DeadlyFredXXX which would be more of a overdrive (and a lot of people use as a boost). Have they ever done a Rat? I have a feeling their version would border even more on a fuzz.
I honestly feel like I’m taking crazy pills that people think this sounds good and/or anything like an HM-2. I think it sounds pretty bad and if you want an HM-2 you’d be better off with a LWA/Void, Northern Mauler, Dunn, Waza HM-2, even the Behringer pink thing or the TC Eyemaster and lots of others I didn’t name. This thing is baffling.
I also use line 6 and of course I also bought a marshall mghdfx 100 watt half stack 20 years and it's still like brand new... All the amps sound amazing depends on which guitar I use because different guitars( pickups) sound different through different amps right?? I use Ibanez, mitchell ms450, and a ol Jackson ❤🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Hey sweetwater You damage my ears!!!😣🫨👂🩸 I'm willing to forgive you guys for the damage earphones and the dry cleaning bill for my bloody shirt, for exchange for this ear blasting pedal. What do you say?😬🤔

Do you know the ship date if we pre order it? Thanks!
Links for amp and head? They aren't showing on mobile
Great bits of the Grim Reaper solos in there, good to see Nick still playing Grim Reaper!

Thank you Darren! 💙

My music buddy was a Metalzone early adopter. Gosh darn you, I'm feeling as if I'd be failing friendship if I didn't get him one of these.
This is based on the HM-2 though ;)
(For the record, I did not say that.)
I’ll be your friend…
Nice to have blend and noisegate functionality with the HM2 circuit 🤘💥🔥
Hm2? No way
@@LeftHandedRightHanded what else would be the famous chainsaw pedal
@@removedot metal zone...
Guardian of the Wyrm did it, but at twice the price.
@@LeftHandedRightHanded
I was thinking the "HM" bit gave it away?:
"HM"=HM2=Hell Melter
(or at least that's the general consensus online)
🤘🎸💥
Great sounding pedal! Love Nick in this video as well he's great
Dear, sorry I forgot your name but the reviews you are doing are gorgeous! Keep on rocking!
00:57 😂 that little skeleton fella is jamming along!
He is absolutely vibing to the sweet riffage
I know it's supposed to be an HM-2 clone, but I keep hearing the Seasons in the Abyss sound

Just when I thought my wallet was safe here comes Nick with another demo.

Welp, i definitely heard a slight reverb and chorus along with the supposed clean amp and only the dirt pedal 🤷
Nick is an awesome dude and a great metal guitarist.
Can’t wait to see these in stores.
\m/
Ps. Love the spinal tap quote at 6:25
Heads up all you young punks. Nick can still get down like a raging Lord of Metal!! God Bless ya Nick.
“Go away and have a bite”……Love the Nigel Tufnel reference
Great demo loved the Steve grimmet intro. Gotta get this one!
I need to hear this through my jcm900. I bet theyre a perfect fit.

This video has better sounds than the video from EHX.
It sounds awesome!
Best review ever. Thank you.
Amazing review, man. Thanks so much!
I know it's only Rock n Roll but I like it.
Awesome for certain needs in projects!
Is there a point where it starts to sound like an HM-2? Because I’m 10 minutes in and not a single chainsaw tone.
Any sound demos without drums and additional instruments
Enjoyable and informative review!
Love to hear it, Keith! 💙
Mean.sounding!👍🏻
Great name for a Metal Album!
We need a shoutout between this and the empress menace.
Sounds good 👍
It's like an eight by ten color glossy photograph of the Frankenstrat.
To be used as evidence against you.
Smokin! You rock Nick!
Dude! You're a player!
Lo quiero !💪🏽
Love Grim Reaper.
Nick🤟🏻
Speaking of Burn you should shoot a video and rock out to the older song by Deep Purple "Burn"
Good one. Or Burn by King Diamond.
NICK RULES !!!🤘
This guy looks like what Hasbulla would look like if he could grow up.
Bass demo???
If I wasn't watching the video I'd say this was a video for...wait for it.... the Heavy Menace. Almost identicle.
strange that both of them and the Boss HM have HM in the name
Thank Electro Harmonix now I have to spend more money :( I have to call my SweetWater Rep Dave Hess to oder this!
Is that the Jerry Cantrell Epiphone?
Matt Heafy
Sounds like a Peavey Rage.
Will EHX ever release a regular distortion pedal? Lol
I'm pretty sure the East River Drive is basically just a Tube Screamer
@@DeadlyFredXXX which would be more of a overdrive (and a lot of people use as a boost). Have they ever done a Rat? I have a feeling their version would border even more on a fuzz.
@@removedot…yes they have. The Flatiron Fuzz. I have it. It’s a tad bit warmer. Better than the standard issue Rat 2.
The amp has a lot to do with sound

It sounds very much like my original HM-2 and WAY better than the Behringer
Sounds Fizzy
Sounds terrible imo lol
Swedish death metal sound.
Working as intended, then.
Bruh you have no taste in sound imo
Just another buzz box. Nothing special.
My goodness. The cringe. It's too much. I just can't...
Ok zoomer...
I cringed pretty hard at the drop z comment.
Dude is just passionate and metal af
@Neon Thunderbird Good joke. Almost as funny as drop z.
@Neon Thunderbird The demo was fine. I'm just sick of the drop z comment on everything I watch. It is beyond played out.
