    Great to see another video, David. This is exactly what I need. We’re constantly bagging the trimmings from rose and other bushes. I’m picking one up, brother man 👍🏻
    Can’t wait to see the Harmony vid!!

      Thank you Randy. That 12 inch radial disc sander would be here next week so as soon as I get that I'll finish it up.

      You are very welcome. Just had it out today actually. The weather was beautiful so I decided to do some mulching.

    This looks like a great machine for homeowners who have small shrubs and trees that need trimming

      Yep, it's perfect for small yard work.

      Thank you. I try to keep them simple and just show what an item can do, or not do. Then give my honest opinion. Thanks again for the comment, and for watching.

      They actually do the job too. Just don't try to over do it with them and it will be just fine. I tried to chip too big of lims and found out quickly... 😂 I still use mine, and no, my pile hasn't disappeared yet 😆.. To many other things to do...

    I trust Quentin Tarantino's opinion on chipper shredders.

    Hello Dave.
    Prices have started to come down from what I'm seeing.
    I like this. But Im trying to figure out if this would be considered 'tech' . ha

      Lol.. I call it tech. It's electrical and has moving parts...lol

    What kind of catch are you using for the mulch?

    • @HayesTech

      Not sure what your mean by "catch". I have a shallow, black plastic, potting pan that we were using for the basin. I really wish this thing came with something but it doesn't.

    What is the round black knob that turns for? Thanks.

    • @HayesTech

      It's for taking the top off for cleaning or clearing out jams. Make sure to unplug it first though.. 😆

  • @BabyLouie22

    What if it jams? Does it have a reverse switch? If not how do you un-jam it?

    • @HayesTech

      There is no reverse, so no, it wouldn't be that simple. I just unplugged it (to make it safe) and started to dig.. I never really had any issues where it was jammed really bad though, and a simple unplug and clean out, fixed the issue.

    Any guess if it will handle queen palm branches?

    • @jesseplz

      The leaves on those are long and stringy

    • @HayesTech

      I have no clue. I wish I could help you with this but I honestly know very little about palm branches. I've chipped hard woods, like cherry, maple and hickory, up to about 1 inch with it. But i have no clue about palms. Sorry I couldn't help with that.

    • @SpencerM093

      I know this is an older comment, but depending on the size of the fronds, it should. We trim the lower branches when they die and the machine has no trouble with them

    • @SpencerM093

      You may just have to push it down more often to catch the longer leaves. And if it's blocking the chute at the bottom you can generally pull it out from the outside

  • @HowardOwensIII

    Can it hanle kitchen waste -- corn cobs, orange peels, rotten apples, egg shells?

    • @HayesTech

      That I can't answer %100. Soft waist, absolutely. But corn Cobbs can get large. I would say that as long as they are under 1 inch to 1 1/4 inches (in diameter) it should be able to grind those too. You would definitely have to use the plastic pusher, for pushing the food waist down. Because it's small (like leaves). But honestly, I don't see why you couldn't use it for that purpose.

    • @HowardOwensIII

      @@HayesTech I bought one yesterday and so far so good ... have only had time so far to deal with kitchen waste for compost. It handled everything fine. The small area to feed waste into makes it a slow job but I'm happy with the results.
      I need to prune my roses. I'll be curious to feed those canes into it but I think it should work fine, giving more material for the compost buckets.

      I used it to mulch our rose bushes clippings too, and it worked great.

    You already have a bad habit of placing you hand on the frame opening of the chipper. You gonna come out o e day with a nub or at least some missing fingers.

    • @HayesTech

      If you saw the area where the blade is at you would know that where I place my hands are very safe.
