    Thank you for the video! I have been looking at getting this shredder for awhile. We have 7 mature silver maples on the property and there is always branches that need to be picked up during mowing. We are doing the same thing that you were doing. Making piles of brush everywhere.

    Your review gave me the information I need to decide on buying one. I liked that you unplugged it before taking off the cover. Safety. The blades do not seem to be designed for leaves but that is okay for me.

    Can you do piles of leaves easy or is just a small hole for feeding

    I am having a problem taking out the blades. I can only get to the outer bolt up front and the inner bolt through the back hole in the rotator plate guard, but either way, the bolts are in there rock solid and I cannot get them loose and I don't want to strip out the heads. Recommendations?

    One can get a 12g 100-feet extension cord (a bit pricey) or battery backup like Ecoflow (very pricey) to use the chipper farther away. Digging a trench for installing conduit and receptacle is hard work.

      Manufactor says extension shouldn’t be more than 25ft

    I have portable power station, can be charged with solar panel. I am thinking to use that.

    You could just get a gas powered generator to run the electric chipper more remotely on the rare occasions

    does it work well with leaves and garden waste for composting?

    • @ChristopherLum
      @ChristopherLum  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does indeed work well for composting once you can get the leaves into the machine. The opening is somewhat narrow and designed for sticks so if you have a large volume of leaves then it is a little tedious to fill the hopper and then try to jam them in with the plunger but if you are patient it works great.

      @@ChristopherLum I'm about to buy one $127 on AMZN, i'll not use the hopper part and hopefully I can increase size of intake by cutting away some plastic.. Nice Video, thank you.. Also, a leaf vacuum/blower works well for shredding leaves.. : )

    Thank you for your review, it really helped me decide NOT to buy one, I think it would be be a waste of time to break 1.250" diameter branches to smaller lengths just so I can feed them into the chipper.wasn't sure about an electric chipper until I watched this video, my best bet is to go bigger.
