The iconic drumming from this era of Lamb of God is truly timeless. Some of Adler's writing is just as memorable as many legendary guitar riffs. You killed it, of course. So much spice.
What draws me to your videos and drumming isn't your skill at it (although it is pretty sick), it's how much fun you always seem to be having whether it's playing or listening to others play.
I don´t know what i love more...your awesome drumming style, your super cool drums (and the way you prepare all those lights and stuff) or your funny faces
I feel Adler’s technique just showed the possibilities you can do behind the kit. I mean just look what’s packed in this song alone. there’s so much going on in such a little time span and it sounds absolutely gnarly.
You look so relaxed playing what lots would consider a very intense elaborate song. I love it! It looks like you were just completely at peace almost like you were meditating at points, totally loosey goosey and no tensing
One thing is the pinpoint timing and the talent but the production of your videos are insane. The quality of the video and audio are better than most professionel companies are delivering. Impeccable job
@@66SamusI do agree that the audio and video is great but imo there's too many cuts back and forth. It's hard to follow where your hands are going when I need to retract where to look every 2 seconds
the kick drum is quite possibly more catchy than the rest of the instruments. the roles he launches into at seemingly random times. brilliantly orchestrated.
I saw him play with Lamb of god and Megadeth in the same show back to back. He is a machine. Just can't do both longterm. The adler bros and randy make lamb of god so it's not the same but they still are amazing
You know someone is good at something when they make it look easy. Just wanted to say that I had my first drums lesson and got hyped! You're hyping me even more to learn and progress. Thank you for that.
This is one of my favorite albums to play along to. For me, it's right in that sweet spot of being challenging at times but still attainable. It any case it'll tighten up your playing, test your foot control and it's great practice for all the doubles over doubles he does all the time.
You know what, i Saw you always analizing and give all the energy to other drumers and amazing explanations, and tell them how great they are, but you know what you are One of the great drumers too.
I wish I had your enthusiasm. Like I used to... I love how u do it for the love of the music.. and nothing more.. not much musician's out there like that now days... It's rare now to find rockers like you with your style..
Dude when i saw Lamb of God in 2008 this was the 3rd song they played and Chris Adler played so fucking hard he broke the snare during this song and kept playing!! Fucking Metal Dude!
I always loved Chris’ drum parts on this album. I really loved the way he utilized his splash cymbals like they’re a ride or crash to keep time with using certain sections too. It brings a unique sound to his writing, I think.
The playing is awesome. The facial expressions are great. The patch covering the hole in the snare head 😂. People who watch the streams will know why it’s there. Also, I just wanted to say that the turkey I bought today weighed 21.93 lbs. That’s almost…
Nice job, Sam! The cool things is... Chris only started playing drums when he was 21 and was self taught. He had only been playing drums for 11 years when he wrote the parts for this epic album. If anyone tells you that it's too late to start playing drums/music... show them this. Thanks, man!
That was so clean. What I always appreciated about this track was the pace. Its double bass but Chris never really out there going over 9000. Clean, sorta a fast chug. You honoured it to say the least.
@@66Samus Thanks for the laughs man. You've got a great personality. I forwarded your reaction To the young lady playing Slipknot drums without ever hearing the original song To my God son. He got pretty heavy into drums in high school.
Great cover of a great drummer. A friend met Chris backstage at a concert and got a picture signed for me. It is a picture of his kit and on the back it says Jamie stay metal with his signature underneath
My little immediately started head banging naturally for the first time in his life in the first 30 seconds. This is our first video of you playing. We usually watch your react videos.
Samus i found out about your channel from my dad i have watched your channel with him since i was a kid and i absolutely love your content! I am offically your subscriber for life now!🔥
This was so sick dude, Adler added so much more with his drumming to lamb of god. The way he uses the cymbals and bass pedals to go with the really catchy guitar riffs are what drew me in during high school. I never heard anything like it before! I agree with the comments on how they miss Adler, so do I. But if you haven't already, check out the album Volition by Protest The Hero. Incredible band of musicians, their drummer left and adler sat in for an album. He absolutely blew me away with what he brought to the bands sound. Good job as always 66samus!
I really miss Chris. He was a part of their unique sound. The percussive punch just resonated with me and hooked me in. Art Cruz is a beast yes but I miss Chris' dynamics and grooves that meshed so well.
this was perfection. The double base triplets always fucked me up until one day i got so fed up with it i took my own pedals to work (i worked at guitar center at the time) i practiced just the triplets on the 2nd verse for my entire lunch. The failed stick flip at the end planned or not was amazing. Great work as always bro \,,/ \,,/
hell yeah samus!!! love thiis whole album!! amazing tight performance wow! insane production and setup man. serious respecct to your work ethic and awesome content!! cheers from ontario canada!! man you kicks sound SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!! OOHH YYUUUURRRR!!!!
Fantastic cover to a song I greatly love!!!!! Not at all being a drummer...mad props to all that are..., but have watched/listened to numerous videos such as this one, it totally obliterates pretty much everything my brain has come to know about hand/eye/foot coordination. So much so, that if I tried playing this song, I may just simply forget how to pick up an object and carry it 4 steps without dropping it and falling down...LOL!!!!!
This cover is something to live for
I don’t wanna like this. It has 69 likes. 😂
@@michaelchaney5909 lol ik

Yeah, it's so sad they parted ways. Chris Adler in his prime was absolute god tier metal drumming, and LoG god tier metal music.
Truuuuue
Chris is like the lead musician of Ashes of The Wake era… extremely talented player
Honestly this song wouldn't go as hard as it does without such sick drumming especially that intro bit!
fr it's simple, groovy, and effective for the band. still missing their old "magic" on recent albums
What draws me to your videos and drumming isn't your skill at it (although it is pretty sick), it's how much fun you always seem to be having whether it's playing or listening to others play.
that's really nice of you to say man, thank you!
Totally agree!!!

Something about Chris Adler's drumming that just makes me smile. Good job.
simplicity goes a long way

thank you Arwin!!

Jesus dude not just the drums but the symbols the whole mix is just so gorgeous! You're so relaxed truly truly badass.
Oooooh yurrrr still one of my favorite LOG songs ever. So freaking well played too 🙂
I've just about worn out my steering wheel from car-drumming to this album over the years! "Now you've got something to drive for"!
Yeah, bro, my leather on my wheel is fucked too.
Absolutely masterful, and that move at 3:38 is something I've never seen done better

One of my all time favorite Lamb of God songs. I think I've watched Chris Adler plays this more times than listening to the actual song.
Same 🔥🤘
This level of drumming, enjoyment, and passion for playing music is truly inspiring! Keep sending out these vibes
Chris is a living proof that you simply can't have too many cymbals...
Nice cover!
THOSE CYMBALS SOUND AMAZING N BRO UR FILLS!!!!! FUUUUUHHHH!!!! IMPRESSIVE!!

Definitely like Art's style too. Fits the band well. The 2020 album was fresh af...in 2021 lol

my pleasure Nelson :)
Lamb of frickin' frackin' Chode! Awesome rendition Samus, as usual. Love Adler's writing when he was in the band.

That was so sick buddy!! You and LOG are two huge inspirations to my drumming
The speed. The power. The precision. The technicality. Bloody hell dude. ❤🤘🤟
thank you so much!!!!!

This was the song that made me fall in love with Lamb of God and was the first song of theirs I learned on drums
Top 3 of all time Lamb of God songs
As being a guitar player, there’s something special about watching a drum covered that makes it exciting. Awesome work!
Everyone's talking about the drumming (rightfully) but props for the mixing to match LOGs drum sound.. Impressive

Chris Adler's LOG years were my favorite. Glad I got to see them in concert back in the day. Killer cover!
You added about 500 more splash accents to a song with 500 splash accents & it slayed even harder.
More splash = more Gash.
Chris Adler is Drumming Genius! You played it perfectly… Cheers 🍻
Absolutely love how you just played the song and added your own stuff throughout! So sick! Such a fun song to play! 🤘🏼

Watching Chris Adler play this song at Modern Drummer Festival 2005 was life changing for me as an 8th grader.

A cover Adler could be proud of! Good shit dude 😎
I see lamb of god. I see Samus. I click faster than my dad left for smokes
Phenomenal cover. Love that you matched the snare sample. Mapex Warbird from GGD?
Saw LoG live right before Chris left. He was basically the only member of the band I could hear. Not that I’m complaining. Lol.
