Everything is waking up and looking great, going to be another beautiful year for your garden!!! Yes, trying to enjoy the process and admire the hard work and God's beauty ❤ ♥ 💕
My mom, sister and I are at different stages of development with our gardens and one of our favorite things to do when we visit each other is tour each other’s gardens to see what’s new or different. Many times we end the tours by sitting on a bench, swing or chair and just admire the beauty of the garden at whatever stage they are in at the time. 🇺🇸💚
My husband loves Bleeding Hearts, we have a pink color one in the back yard. My favorite is the white one by our garage. Love your gardens Jes. I really like the grass walk ways with the stone. Who doesn't love Max.❤ Thanks Jes
Jes….you’ve opened my eyes in appreciation of every season in the garden. Your gully garden is coming to life and looks so beautiful. It’s nice to see how the plants mature as time goes by and I love the quote from Teresa…..the most important thing a gardener can do is LOOK. I’m going to add that quote into my garden journal! Max was having so much fun exploring! Tfs! 💕💕💕🪴🪴🪴
Your garden waking up is glorious!! Looking forward to all the changes the season brings to it! Thank you Jes, for sharing it with us. Really proud of Max for being brave and getting out there to explore. 😊♥️🌱
Love the gully garden, it's amazing how the space fills in over summer. I think it's great that Max is afraid of all the noise, should keep him safer. And, Teresa and I have become fast friends in her comments, nice you gave her a shout out.
All your plants are looking happy and healthy. I love your natural woodland style garden. And Max is growing up to be a handsome boy with his fluffy fur. I'm going to locate some Brunnera this year. I have some "Forget Me Not I got last year on sale. Looks like it's making a return. whew! Happy gardening. 😊
JES so much color in the spring . You’ve such a good eye for color and texture. Max so sweet my cats with the sound of thunder are inside hiding in the basement. Noises do disturb them. I need a couple of your shade plants great ideas! JES goodness i got teary eyed when you quoted me with such heart yet I do feel like you about Gods miracles of plants . We are HIs stewards arent we?
Thanks Jes for such a beautiful reminder to just LOOK sometimes we just look at the work we need to do in our gardens, and we need to stop and look and appreciate what is taking place in our gardens. It's so amazing, and it's all by the grace of God that He shows us how beautiful our gardens are even if they are a process in the making ❤ God bless you Jes you are so precious ❤️ 😊
Your are so right Jes about just getting out there and looking and appreciate everything and all your hard work! I love this time of year when everything is popping up out of the ground and it looks and what made it and what didn’t. I think spike was smelling around looking for max! Was that max down in the gully garden at the end ? Hopefully they can become friends! Looking forward to seeing when you get all your beautiful flowers from your sister and get them in ! It’s beautiful now but just wait! Going to be a explosion of color! 🌺🌼🌸🌻😄❤️
So interesting to see what ur garden is doing vs my garden here in Tx, zone 8a, in May. My alliums and tulips have already bloomed and r done except for one giganteum allium which still has a big round ball of purple love. I expect it to die off pretty soon tho bc we’re already in the lower 90’s consistently, and this coming Wednesday is supposed to 96 degrees. 🥵 My vegetable garden has been in the ground since the end of March, and everything is flowering which means fruit is about to set. My peas and blueberries already have fruit almost ready to harvest. I have two generous gardener roses (bare root) that I just planted last month in April, and they r about the size of urs. I love to see ur garden bc it’s so beautiful! Hope Max gets more settled outside bc it will be great for u to have him next to u as u plant! I have a rottie named Thor, and he follows me every step I take inside and out which I love! Tyfs, Jes, and happy gardening! 💞💐
I LOVE your garden! I like the way you decided to do a shade garden in a wooded area. if you are still having trouble with animals eating your plants, try spraying them with Deer Out. i spray all of my plants once they break the soil. I spray them two to three times a season and nothing bothers them after that. it is not affected by water or rain.
Love watching your video Jes...you should put some of the blue brunnera in the bottom of your rainbow garden, will tie the other plants that are beside it. I’m going to look for that plant. So pretty!
Hey! You were just in my neck of the woods. I’m in north Dayton in a small town called Vandalia where the Dayton airport is. I’ve been on a buying spree this spring particularly at our local Menards!
I'm recovering after getting sick, and feeling a little overwhelmed at all the things I need to do in the garden. This was timely advice to just get outside and look at your garden. Max is getting quite adventurous.
Wow everything is coming up ,so interesting to see !! Offcourse herd in Glorida we don’t have that experience,we garden all year long !! I bet in a couple weeks do much will grow ,can’t wait!!
Jes, love how everything is coming to life! Please, please I know you watch Max but the little stinkers can get over confident quickly and get in trouble! I have a precious Shih Tzu. He cannot be trusted outside without a harness!
Jess, those holes might be from voles. Voles will destroy/eat your roots/bulbs/tubers. I lost a whole bed of Iris because of voles. I know it’s mean but I stick a garden hose in one of the holes and let the water flush them out.
Max wants his Mama! So cute watching him get use to the outside. Do yoi have a problem with you Heuchrea crown comming out of the dirt. When mine get older they start dividing and the plant pushes its self out of the dirt? I had a lot of my hostas with holes beside where they were. I don't know if its chipmunks or voiles.
Please Check out the garden answer tour titled, One of the Most Beautiful Gardens I've ever Visited. it reminds me of what your property will look like. are you using an auger bit on a drill to plant? It looks like two or three acres.
Oops somehow a thumbs down got posted! So unintentional. Max The Hesitant Adventurer! Love his joining you. When he came back out at the end, he was probably looking for the other cat he smelled on you.😂 It's so exciting to imagine what is to come.

You are a complete joy to watch and listen to. Bless your sweet heart👍💕

What type of soil do you have in gully garden? Is it clay? Did you amend the soil?
What type of trees do you plant under in gully garden?
You've forgotten us Christians, we need a gospel project from you, too!
