    Gorillas are such interesting creatures. You can really tell how closely related to humans they are just by the way they travel and eat in groups. Makes them really seem like a tribe of nomads.

    • @RobGordonJC
      @RobGordonJC 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, if we had their jaw strength, we would be able to crush bone like it was nothing.
      (Domestic dogs can shatter bones with little to no issue, to put a gorilla’s massive bite power at its lowest possible ability)

    • @PivotSweden
      @PivotSweden 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well hey if it is of any comfort we humans, although being abysmally weak compared to most animals, have probably the most insane endurance.
      Imagine having the necessary skills to track an animal. Now imagine that you are a deer being chased by a human with said knowledge. You are running and running, stopping to rest at times, and yet this bipedal thing just keeps showing up. And although you run and run, this hairless monkey is just walking... For hours on end!
      And then you hit a point where you just can't run anymore, you have worn yourself down. You lie down in exhaustion. And then the human shows up again like a Terminator - ending your life with tools.
      And with that said it is in the end the endurance of the human mind that has gotten us to where we are today. Humans not giving up at the right time has changed the course of history a multitude of times. And while life can be shit, there is nothing more beautiful than struggle for betterment - no matter if that is hunting for food or fighting off invaders(🇺🇦🙏).

      They will eat about anything, but meat is only out of desperation. They follow a vegan diet. Most anything we eat and then some thing you couldn't pay me to eat. Banana leaves from the banana tree, paper , their own boogers, their own poop, and insects when grooming. They love sweets like us, but shouldn't give them any refined foods. They don't understand that junk food is junk. Once they find out what sugar taste like, they will pout like a child for sweets and won't eat the green food's anymore. I saw a video of a man bribing a chimp to preform tricks, he gave the chimp a cherry blow pop as a reward. First thought, no his teeth! He knew what it was too. I watched him opened up and go to town rolling it around in his mouth. They love fruit and honey. Basically anything we would enjoy they like too. M&M's were requested as a treat by a gorilla that learned sign language, He requested the M&M's over the phone. I shit you not. it's on a You Tube video. The title leaves me at the moment. He remembered the conversation and when the lady from the phone came up he went right over to her and asked if she brought his treat? She said what? Look in my back pack. He grabbed it like a kid, and pulled out his M&M"s She said didn't you ask me for a toy too? He signs yes. She again tells him to get it out of her back pack. He reaches in an pull's out a ball. It was amazing to watch. He also can use a word board. Symbols are assigned to words. Ask him a question and he will use the board to make words to answer your question. Gorillas are very smart creatures. One Gorilla named Koko told his keeper, that it was man's fault that he has to live in a cage at a zoo. She asked him why he said that? he told her that humans cut down to many trees, leaving primates with no place to live and grow old. Now how smart is that. He came up with that all on his own. It was sad. He even said, "Koko sad". Koko miss his Jungle. It's here on you tube too. Search his name or Gorilla talks using sign language. Search this and it will get you to Koko. KoKo’s last message to humanity.

      Americans: meat, eggs cheese is a GIGANTIC portion of the diet.
      Gorillas: vegetables and fruit is 99% of diet.
      Poor people in 3rd world: beans, mushrooms, fruit is 99% of diet. Meat is way expensive only Americans think it's cheap because it's subsidized up the ass, but it infact is extremely inefficient use of calories. A single 4 oz steak could've instead fed an entire tribe lentils.

      23000 pounds force per square inch for reinforced steel
      Bamboo is so hard that is used as construction material in some countries and is used in reinforcement as an alternative to steel. Untreated bamboo can last 2-6 years internally.
