fun fact! Yukinobu Tatsu was forced to read romance mangas by the editor before he started writing the series and he read 100 romance mangas to cook this godly feast of "born to shoujo forced to shonen" romcom.. god bless him

This series depicts all the insecurities of high school romance perfectly. I remember those times 😂
What i love about Momo is how emotionally inteligent she is, just in this episode she notice Okarun only ignore her at the entrace because of how awkward he is so she approach him, then start getting exiting about talking the things he likes (props to Okarun he also want to talk about what she likes), then defend Okaruns honor and hype him up infront of everybody and the most important thing she takes acontability, every time she has say something unintensionally hurtfull to Okarun she has own it, say sorry and improve. Momo is not only one of the best anime girls in shonen for how inteligent and powerfull she is but because she star in one of the most healthy romance in media period

No love triangles but Momo and Okarun sorta each form their own pseudo harems while being 100% locked in on each other
2 things I loved about this episode: In Dub, when Okarun is in the Bathroom he just goes "Oh Fuu-", which is 1000% something a guy would say in that situation. And the sound of the pan hitting the chicks head was SO GOOD I actually felt a Dopamine rush XD

'Kinpachi sensei' is a long-running Japanese show. It is a drama about a teacher, called Kinpachi, who is passionate about his profession and his relationship with his students. One of his famous lines is "(The kanji character) 人 'hito' (='person') is made up of two people supporting each other (so we have to support each other).", which granny Seiko quoted when she smacked Okarun.
'Rotten tangerin' is also a reference to his famous line "If there is one rotten tangerine in a box the whole box (of tangerine) will rot, so you throw away that rotten tangerine quickly. That is the logic of this school. but a person's soul never becomes completely rotten!"
Granny Seiko just burrowing the word and calling Okarun 'rotten tangerine' is funny.

The fucking SIDE EYE from Momo was the best part for me, I love that thing where you talk all loud because you're not actually talking to the person you're with, you're talking loud so someone else hearing can get a message, and that glare she gave put an exclamation point on that message. So fucking goooood, lol.
Fun fact: Yukinobu the author of Dandadan was forced to consume hundreds of shoujo romance material by his editor to be able to wrote romcom just as a shoujo manga would have. Imagine a shounen story has a shoujo romance touch.

Dandadan is a boy meets girl story where while both start building a relationship they are activly looking to "retrieve" his manhood. Or rather it is a story of him earning his manhood with help of his partner. The plot is so plainly in the open, most people miss it xD
We had the same reaction to this. I was absolutely POUNDING at the air when they both talk about how bad they want to talk to each other. It's so friggen cute
