If Hot Granny is locked to a certain area, I was wondering if maybe Momo's powers might be locked to the area near the UFO that she was abducted in? Though it's freaky imagining how many aliens there must be if a single group of them only has influence over a small area. Like is there a cabal of aliens for every county or prefecture

umm regarding the powers.. so in most asian traditional beliefs and spiritual cultures, since they tend to hold a polytheistic beliefs back then, each supernatural deities or beings are rooted in the place they are dominating in. the cause of bond to the territory could be many, as example for the crab location bound spirit it was the emotional bond towards where the tragedy takes place. gods there works the same too, there are deities that ruled different parts of territory with their own specialization of their skills n powers. Granny Seiko here (Momo's grandma) is an ordinary human regardless being a sorcerer. the whole concept is that you borrow powers from the nature (deities/gods are part of the nature in this context) you give back to them, that's why there are rituals of respecting and praying to shrines in different places as form of gratitude towards their blessing.
it is still a missing link as to how momo powers came to be even in the manga tbh. it could either be because her awakening triggered by serpoian's device or it has something to do with her parents which we have yet to see

@@EnokiNoelmanga reader here: it spread as a meme but it's never confirmed. Assuming that Seiko and Momo's mom gives birth at around 20 and Momo is 16, Seiko might be a 56 year-old young grandma (but realistically I think she'd be older)
