Love you bro! Thanx for the constant updates! It means a lot to the commnunity! Also happy that developers hear the community and make changes to the better!
I quite like the iteration, identity and mechanic of the class so far. It's kinda like melee-runekeeper but not really because u don't wanna go too much Fore or Aft to stun yourself & there's nice combinations to use. I love that over the same old classic "rotations"
This class looks awesome! A lot more well rounded and polished than the brawler preview. I love the new life and excitement a new class brings to the game, can't wait to level a Mariner :) thanks for the preview!
Thanks for the good words! The few videos made around this time were made while I wasn't home, so the volume is a bit on the lower side on this and a few other ones. Volume has returned to normal in my other videos, so trust me, it's not always like this!
Might or Agility.. Both have their pros and cons but I think Agility is better because there's some traits/trait-set bonuses that plays of with "critical hits" and agility gives more crit ratings so personally? I think Agility is better.
U38 with the Umbar Expansion. Fall 2023, likely November. Pre-Orders should happen "soon" which should also give "Early Access" to the Mariner Class for those who Pre-Order. I would make a guess that Pre-Order Access for the Mariner Class will be October. Wait & see.
Is it just me, or have they improved the combat animations -- this character looks pretty good. The combos too. Better than my Burg I think or even a Warden.
You can have balance fore and aft on a boat. Actually quite important with big sailing vessels, so I think it works well. To your point, there is balance on port and starboard as well, but I think it doesn't matter that much what the developers went with, both get the idea across.
ok a few things. I dont like the balance bar, i dont like the way the character stands when fighting, it also looks like he trying to poke something but is scared to get too close.
If they were going to us red and green they should have flipped the bar so you have port-left-red and green-right-starboard. If you're going with a 'nautical' class that should have been a no-brainer. Just saying. This is not a mariner; it's a landlubber.
@@bilaliqbal4012 I've been playing MMOs since EQ. I still play a bit of ESO, GW2 and FFXIV, but mostly play LOTRO (because of friends). You don't need to white knight, I don't like playing Warden either, not everything appeals to everyone.
@@durinV I love the Beorning, but I can understand not everyone liking it. I think the biggest weakness of LOTRO is having set roles like tank, healer, dps or buff/debuff/ccer. If you want to keep making a lot of new classes they are invariably going to end up looking a lot like a cut n paste of other classes that already exist.
Really really interesting, I like the way the attunement works, definitely have to think what skill to use in your rotation.
When I first saw the title, I thought it said the "Dullest" DPS lol

thank you ghynghyn for covering the news

Awesome video! Only critique was your volume seemed to be on the lower side. Had my volume to max and still was difficult hearing you.

Voice kinda on the low side or is that just me?
Im not at my own setup for this week, sound is going to return to normal over this weekend when I get back home
Surprised they’re adding classes!
very cool cant wait for this expansion :)
I love LOTRO class mechanics, really unique even if the basics of combat system seem to be typical for MMO genre
Can you make a video that shows the Animations for the class?
Coming up within the next couple of days!
I'm excited to try this out soon, I really like the look of it. It might end up as my new main.
this looks like a very fun and interesting class, looking forward to playing it myself! might just main it...
If there is a chance could you show the class information like inspired by which hero on books etc. and origins from...
Thanks for the video
Captain = Earnur
Champ = gimli
Hunt = legolas
LM = elrond
Minstrel = luthien in silmarillion as I remember
Warden = haldir
Guard = Sam
RK = celebrimbor
Brawl = maybe helm hammerhand
And mariner is maybe earendil in silmarillion.
Its a bit weird why cappy's motif is earnur. Boromir or aragorn is more similar motif for captain but anyway, these are official by turbine
Cirdan, Earendil, Tar Aldarion all I know mariners from books :) thx for respond@@HaHa-wu8ri
Just when I think they can't add any more stuns, they find another way.
How good is this spec for solo leveling/questing?
Seems to be very good

@@bilaliqbal4012 its set up for the changes coming with umbar might for dps agility for blue line and will for yellow line
@@ryanlotgd ahh. I see
Might for red, Agility for blue, Will for yellow is what the idea seems to be.
@@ghynghyn4706 That's interesting.
Any release date yet for the mariner class?

Is it duel wield 1h swords?
Mariner has to have a Dagger in it's Off-Hand Slot to be able to use various Skills. So it's a Sword (Cutlass) + Dagger for Dual-wielding.
But he does not use it at all, he just hold the dagger, it is weird... it would looks better with just main hand one weapon.@@harvain731
Sword or Dagger for main hain, and a cosmetic dagger in your off hand slot that will basically be a stat stick giving you more stats.
Shame that we can not hide the off hand..

Should have called it Port and Starboard instead of Aft and Fore

Way to many melee classes
most of the new bosses in raids are front forward fights with no aoe cone damage so them standing on top of tanks are not a bad thing
ah its the elf character model that looks weird.
Ugh, that looks... very clunky.
1. It's a Beta. 2. The identity looks good & set IMO and that was the most important thing before the beta went live. You must be new at gaming.
