I'm playing all classes on treebeard to level 20, just to see what I like best. Currently playing champion and really enjoying it.

Keep them all for bag space or proffs even if you don't use them.

Champ rocks. I love this class. Taking on a bunch of baddies at one time is so addictive. 👍

It's been slow with other projects going on (and now Update 35), but I am planning to get to all the classes eventually!

I'm more of a Tank/Heal favourite, e.g. Captain, Guardian, Warden. And I'd like to share the Champ's class from a Captain's perspective.
To me, the Champ is my AOE DPS bro. I've run so many raids and instances with my Cpt buffing up my Champion brothers. Where they lack healing and group buffs, I come in; but where a Cpt lacks DPS...OH, does the Champ take the cake! And when I buff up their overall dps output, we become an absolute unit!
    ---
I actually made a really good few LOTRO friends. My main group, a Hunter, Minstrel, Lore-Master, Warden and Champion, and me as their Captain Tank/Support. I find it fascinating how each class has their pros and cons, and how combined they fill each other's weaknesses and buff each other's strengths.
E.g. the Hunter is fantastic for 1-target DPS. But if you face a horde of enemies, they can quickly get overwhelmed to the point a Tank struggles to draw threat.
A Mini is a fantastic quick-Healer for a small group and on Tanks (I've faced many foes I could not have done without Minstrels). But foes that I can take several hits from, can 1-shot them and so they need a good Tank to stay in the fight. Really, a Tank needs a Minstrel as much as a Minstrel needs the Tank.
The Lore-Master absolutely smashes out aoe stuff. Be it debuffing or full-blown DPS, they can quite literally vaporize entire mobs - alternatively they stack DoT attacks on bosses whilst debuffing them. But like the Minstrel, there are foes that can 1-shot them, and induction-based classes need that space to be effective or they'll get overwhelmed real quick.
Wardens. My Medium-Armour Tanking brother or alternative Ranged DPS class, a very advanced but versatile class. I'd say, a Warden is your Jack of All Trades. He can heal, buff, debuff, do some insane DoT Bleeds on enemies, do Stealth, and even become one of the best tanks in-game possible because of their own buffing stats. Not a master at anything, but good at whatever the player wants them to be good at. Having a Warden in your team allows players for some minor mistakes, as the Warden can "fill the gap" and put pressure off of everybody else.
Champion...oh I have seen these berserker-like damage dealers in action. I would say I'd rather Tank for a group of Champions than a group of Hunters, because man can these guys chop your foes to bits whilst lasting a fair bit in a fight personally. They don't have a lot of heals from what I've seen, and their personal buffs can wear off mid-fight. But with a good Captain Tank, they can get their heals and do their DPS to the enemy whilst not drawing too much threat. In the Fellowship, The Tank is your Shield, the Champ is your Sword.
Take the Doom of Caras Gelebren Raid (12-man) for example. I've seen all the classes in action there. Even the newest Mariner. Keep in mind, this perspective may change over time but I can tell you, the best setup I've have seen is this:
    - 2 (Captain) Tanks, 2 Minstrels Healers, 8 Champions (4 Red, 4 Yellow).
This maxes out AOE DPs output and just 3 different classes. Helps keep it simple and remove the mobs very quickly!
    Another option would be:
    - 2 (any) Tanks, 2 Rune-Keepers, 2 non-tank Captain Buffs (e.g. Heals and Dps buffs), 6 Champions.
This is more versatile but therefore there's more to keep in mind too. And with most players, the simpler the game the better each one can do their part, which is why I would recommend something simple like option 1.
As you can see, I put a lot of emphasis on the Champions because they are Heavy-armour and can AOE and Single-Target DPS. So whether you face entire groups or tough single targets, Champions can deal with it remarkably well. As long as a Captain is Tanking and Mini or RK healing, you got a healthy group with a lot of resilience and damage output (which is what you NEED for something like Caras Gelebren).

yeah, after gambits dot fights warden shing-shing feels very refreshing, fast and smooth. even back then in 2015 when trait trees were implemented already it was way better and fights felt more fluid than it was before

Me and my gf rolled 2 hobbits, me as a champion and she as an hunter. Loving how simple and satisfying champion is, makes you feel normal. Outfited an simple adventurer look with a backpack, jacket of the hidden peaks tunic with the shoulder cloak. A very short shortsword on the belt that glows blue near orcs, a small knife hidden outside of combat. I imagine he pulls out the knife from inside the boot in combat when it apears. Loving it so far!
P.S: Got myself some pipeweed aswell :))

One way to improve the champ is by buying 2 milestone skills and both milestone cd reduction, then you become part of the fast travel family.
pd: Hunter and Warden really spoil you with all the fast travels skills and while now you can barter for "return skills" i think those have 1hs cd

Champion is a pure killing machine. In fact they rely on killing fast for survivability when getting swarmed. But now with the recent introduction of the Brawler, basically a Champion with a beer stein and a lot more attitude, I've since replaced my Champion with the Brawler as my go to melee character. Here's to hoping SSG doesn't ever catch on to how overpowered the Brawler is they are just too much fun. You should do a video on the Brawler and do a comparison with Champ.
