@@hardscorerockkssss Indeed, but just because they are in a higher position than him, being pretty much Rufus' personal guard. And even then, Hojo would have no problem screwing with them as well. Just look at Vincent.
Literally everyone on the SOLDIER floor in Crisis Core is afraid of Hojo, including the scientists in the training room, and actively *warns* Zack and others *not* to gain Hojo’s attention and to stay as far away from him as possible. WTF was Roche thinking?!
This is why Roche is one of the mentally weak SOLDIERs. He was desperate to prove himself against Cloud, and when he couldn't he started losing confidence in himself, which is exactly how the Jenova Cells start having negative effects on a person. The more self-doubt a person has, the more the J-Cells gain power over you. This is why we learned that Zack did not experience any effects from Hojo's experiments, Zack's confidence was always through the roof, even when he doubted himself, he was able to regain his focus and his positivity. This confidence prevents the Jenova Cells from ever harming his mind.
Fun fact: Team Avalanche nearly stopped all of this from happening when they were about to put an end to hojo on costa sol. But Red was like, "nah, we've done enough". Clearly not, Red. Clearly not.
That line was so totally dumb and immersion breaking. Even just a few tweaked words like, "Costa del Sol" has seen enough terrors today" would have been better than nothing.
Honestly, Hojo is just so horrendously evil it kind of warps back around to being cartoonish. How the man is able to function is a mystery best left to the universe.
They are not actually clones The original translation from japanese is "Sephiroth copies" They are regular humans injected with Jenova cells in an attempt to make test subjects that are just like Sephiroth
My current theory about Roche is they're going to turn him into Jenova•DEATH in part 3 when the robes reach the Whirlwind Maze and that will spur Hojo on to implant Jenova cells into himself, resulting in the Heretic Hojo battle later
This is after you meet Roche and after fighting another duel with him. And yes, you do fight him again after this scene, but there are a few hours of playtime in between that
Sort of. He was already degrading before this. But when using Assess on Roche later, it mentions how he's more powerful but in turn his degradation is sped up significantly.
@@lavishlyvice He wasn't degrading at all: the whole "SOLDIER degrade without constant mako injections" is propaganda to keep them in line. What Hojo did was turn him into a Sephiroth-clone with Jenova cells combined with Sephiroth DNA.
I find that weird Roche chose to become a experiment for Hojo he cleary want to defeat Cloud but he is not crazy enough to sell himself to that weirdo scientist
Roche is a speed addict. He wants to live his life to his fullest. The world's currently in a sorry state and probably won't last long. He probably wanted to be as strong as possible for a last epic fight before degradation takes him or the world ends (by Sephiroth or anything else).
When this cutscene played in my game, I already feared for Roche's life. Anything with Hojo always end badly.
only if you are expandable for shinra.i beat they they treat staff like turks and ohter high ranks different

Oh my Roche is to become a Sephiroth remnant like Loz, Kadaj and Yazoo, oh my days.
Hojo's got that Saturday morning cartoon villain energy. "My brilliance, a guiding light! All of Urpney civilization would collapse without me!"
"Proceeds to commit to the Highest Standards of The Jenova Convention"
Honestly, Hojo is just so horrendously evil it kind of warps back around to being cartoonish. How the man is able to function is a mystery best left to the universe.
Roche! Why?! Oh why would you do this?!
That Hojo boss fight is gonna be epic in part 3
I'm waiting for a plot twist.
Hojo: "I am Sephiroth's father!"
Vincent: "No. I am."
Weiss: "hello Cloud"
"I'm waiting Clown"
@@Atomicrg-x7t I would imagine one of the chapters will be the return to Midgar and Hojo will be the big boss fight at the end.

hojo laugh is creepy, but at the same time, it cracks me up 😂 applause to the voice actor who brings hojo to life.
I feel so bad for him
So, what does that "SC" mean? SOLDIER candidate or Sephiroth clone?
Sephiroth Clone

God that body the entire time I was like HOJO GET THE HELL OUTTA THE WAY.
Vincent and other ex soldiers come to destroy him and bio guards after all.
i hate hojo so much >_
The actual villain in this game. Not Sephiroth
Is this after or before we meet him? And do we fight him again after this? Im guessing he turns into a monster at some point
After it seems

His Joker laugh 🤣🤡
Lol, yeah, it's creepy, but it also makes me laugh... yikes
I dont see why people hate Hojo so much. He's just trying to further the field of SCIENCE!
Covid booster shot
Yeah man, screw Moderna, Pfiser, and Johnson n Johnson. Let's all get the Hojo brand Covid 19 vaccine 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol bro 😂
During the fight, home boy was clutching his chest a few times lol
Historically accurate
So this triggers his degredation?

@@lavishlyviceSo Jenova cells injection is like overclocking the human body?😂
It's not quite G Cell Degradation seen in Crisis Core. It's more of a Reunion type

All that just to be stronger than Cloud. Fat chance Roche.
Why would he even be a willing participant? Wtf
Must have been a new type of Cell
@@mettatonneoex I’ve just completed Roche’s story. Don’t want to give out spoilers though but now I understand why he did it.
Lost all brain cells. Only thing that would make sense.

Maybe he saw Sephiroth in the same light as him a Rival to push each other forward?
