Carl, Flip Flop year for me! This year Department 56 is actually exciting me more than Lemax! I can understand why the new line is a bit more expensive as they are licensed pieces. I REALLY WANT the IT house and the spinning head Regan from The Exorcist. As for Coraline, if you've ever seen The Nightmare Before Christmas movie, it's along those lines. But if you can, see the Coraline movie in 3D! It is SO FANTASTIC! When I first saw the final picture for the Mad Scientist Place, I was still... Meh. BUT! Then I went to the Department 56 page like you said and WOW!!! That new lighting sold me! Plus, I'm a sucker for strobes. My poor wallet, but I can't wait to celebrate with you with these new pieces. I can't believe Dept 56 won back my heart! vgv
