    Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for 🙂. Short scale with 17 mm string spacing is perfect. But which flavor? Playing essentially the same riff throughout the different settings was extremely helpful. Not enough reviewers do that and you can't tell how much the sound is effected by the setting change or the riff itself. Excellent.

      Thanks i tried to show everything and some might not be the right choice for the song selection but work for a different genre.

    I came into this thinking I wanted a V2, but it turns out that I want a V1. Thanks for the great comparison!

    Love the look of the V1 but the tones of the V2

    Thank you. The side-by-side comparison was really helpful. Now I can just wait for my v1 to get here.

    Thought I was gonna like the v2 better, based upon a video I saw, but the v1 is better imo. Great basses. Might have to snag one

    Both v1 and v2 are shockingly good for slap. That was well played and great production, Will 👏👏👏

    Wow awesome demo. V1- deep, lush, sounds like a P when slapped. V2- killer attack and punch. Slap was insanely tasty. V1 was thick and full. V2 was forceful and cut through with top end bite and more pronounced. Both are great. On the wishlist for sure. Nicely done.

    Hmmm, I like the pickups on V1 better, but the control scheme on V2. Now I'm just confused.

    I own v1. From what I am hearing I wish I could have done my own comparison. Seems like v2 is brighter and may cut through the mix better.

    • @WillBirckhead
      @WillBirckhead 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The V2 definatly has more mid range and top end but they both cut the mix in their own way with their own character

    I liked every single sound out of the V1, but only a few of the V2, even though you play both amazingly well. V1 sounds perfectly balanced and punchy to me, the V2 to my ears has a lot of top-end, which can be a bit abrasive. I though that would cure my GAS for a V2 (I already own a red-tort V1), but now I'm thinking; flats on the V1, rounds on V2. V1 for all the smooth stuff, V2 to rock!

      Ive noticed the V2 has some Stingray Characteristics which would be great for rock. Definatly a unique voice of its own and can definitely be tamed bt rolling off some tone. Just wanted to show the dynamic range of the instrument.

    Can I just press the buttons, or must I smash them?

    • @NordstrandAudio
      @NordstrandAudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      It actually doesn't require a smash. It's a practiced press on the buttons.

    I like the video. Are you playing with the factory strings or something else and what gauge are they and are you detuned?

    • @WillBirckhead
      @WillBirckhead 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All straight from the factory
