Twiins represented Slovakia at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf, performing the song 'I'm Still Alive'. Slovakia came in 13th position in the Second Semi Final with 48 points.

2022, september. This song would be the greatest i know from my eurovision knowledge. It"s perfect, the performance was perfect. Hope if slovakia will return back in eurovision to see another GREAT music made by Twiins! hope for the best from Romania

Do you want to know why they don't want to come back? Because they always receiving really awful results everytime they join the contest since 2009 so after 2012 Slovakian think that Europe really forgot them as an member of ESC therefore they withdraw for good

Moldova qualified and this didn't?? Eurovision amazes me. this is one of my fav non qualifiers ever. just like czech republic 2015. if you're not situated right in Europe you don't get through to the final, such a shame.

Karl Compton look at Slovakia 2010 and 2012. Quite shocking to me- all the Slovak songs were amazing! For me the surprising qualifier was Getter Jaani Rockefeller Street! What a gimmick! TWIINS however, were amazing.

The song sounds incomplete. Shame because it would've been good if they changed the pace a little.
If France, Germany and Italy hadn't voted in the 2nd semi final Slovakia would have made it to the final in stead of Moldova.. :/

Slovakia, Poland & Czech Republic should definitely come back in 2014. They have good music and they're all part of Europe.. every year, when they're not taking part, they're missing the chance of winning the ESC and presenting their music to the rest of Europe. :s

Poland did come back in 2014, and Czechia came back the following year. However, it's unlikely for Slovakia to return to Eurovision, due to financial reasons...

5 points was a big deal. Watch ESC 2019 Poland was placed 11th place in the semi final 2 points away from Belarus which i didn't think as deserve as Poland

Slovakia sent 2 good songs in a row and NONE of them qualified. I kinda understand why they don’t want to participate anymore.
Horehronie was better that this boring piece of so-called art.
And Slovakia doesn't participate because Slovaks don't watch the contest. Ratings are low. And yeah, almost no one is interested in participation.

@@JoshDun6 that's true. Slovakia still praising Marcel Palonder for his 18th place in the Final in 1996. That's the only thing that makes him still relevant in Slovakia. And I never heard about interest from bigger names in Slovakia. Kristína said many times that she doesn't want to return. TWiiNS may be the only participant that is interested in Eurovision in some ways because they're participating in Eurovision parties.
Why we don´t participate ? Simple answer, yeah that´s should be like u said but first thing is problem our corruption second, our national broadcaster haven´t enough money to pay it and third, nobody cares about in slovakia, too low rating :/ But i hope one day we will be back again

If Slovaks knew how to promote their songs better... At least TWiiNS tried to promote their song and they almost made to the Final...
And Kristína and her team spent no time promoting Horehronie because they wanted to reach new audience in home country. Priorities...

@souldragon9 Yes, they cried (you can see it in the reactions video after semi-f.) and it's sad because ESC can pull down the reputation of a song that could have international success, just like in this case.
