20 yrs ago we filled 20,000 gal pool with our house faucet. took few days. But hey the waters still there😊 Frozen over now with Maine temps. I really can’t see why anyone at TV’s would want the maintenace of their own pool. With the many beautiful pools TV’s provide. LOVED the pics at end. Beautiful family, such blessings. My goodnes Linda you an twin are identical! Tks for bringing us along❤️

I’ve begun digitizing my photos. It takes a while, but you get a trip down memory lane as you do it. Then I can use them as screensavers or display them on a rotating basis on a digital frame. The benefit is that I see them, instead of having them stuck away in a bin.

We put in a pool at our last Home, 12,000 gallons. Our water bill only went up $20 to fill it in the year 2000 and it took one day. I was pleasantly surprised! Beautiful family photos, thank you for sharing! No storage in our 55+ community home either, and our kids didn't want all our photos, albums, framed pictures either, it's a real problem! Start Thinning out while your young, it'll make life easier! It was a nightmare for me to Purge a lifetime of our "Stuff" yikes!! Love the Survivor Chips 😂
When I did the lifestyle visit, I did it for $99.00 a night also for 7 days. After that visit I was hooked! I knew there was no other place I wanted to retire to but The Villages! My home is vinyl sided and it's no problem! I have termite protection and power wash it twice a year. Five years later, no hurricane damage so far. I'm a happy camper! 😀 Love your beautiful pictures! It was great seeing your Family! I love Lopez Legacy and have frequented there quite a lot. The other ones I've enjoyed are Arnold Palmer's and Cane Garden. On Long Island I Used a lady that had a business called "Critter Sitter" and when I made my yearly trips to Florida for a week she would come to my home and feed my cat twice a day, clean the litter pan, water my plants, feed my fish and take in my mail! Now that I'm in the Villages, my neighbor across the street from me who use to work for a vet will look after my cat if I take a trip for more than a couple of days. It's less stress on your pet if they don't have to change atmospheres, IMO. Thanks for another great Mailbag Monday! ❤

I took the $99 lifestyle visit in 2017, Bargain Shoppers rule! It was hot! But The Villages are beautiful any time of the year! I loved it and I am coming back to visit with a friend who is going to take her lifestyle visit as soon as she can. Hi Gizmo!
I just had my pool resurfaced in August. It’s 15,000 gallons. I was nervous about the cost on refilling it. I called the water company and was happy to discover that they estimated that it would only be $120 over my normal bill of $65 per month. The total bill after filling it up was $167. And the pool refill with one hose took about a day and a half.
@@JERRYANDLINDA and I installed a pool heater. Unfortunately I left it on 24/7 during the Christmas and New Year holiday.. added $200 to my electric bill. Now it goes on the night before we want to use it.

My diet tip. Get in the habit of brushing your teeth about 4 hours before your normal bedtime. You are done eating for the day. It provides an incentive to not eat anymore because you know you will have to brush again if you do have a late snack.

My mother-in-law kept my husband’s senior picture hung in her living room until she died. It was the largest canvas portrait that she could buy (he was an only child)!

Awesome family photos! For all of our photos, slides, videos, 8mm, we sent them to a service to have them all digitized. When we received them back, we made multiple copies to store off to prevent from losing any or all. Those pictures we love most, we do have actual prints of on the foyer wall. We spend a little time each month looking back at our digital archive on the big television in our living room. Good way to spend time with my bride. Of course, it reminds her of places she wants to go visit and then tell me we are going to take a trip. No discussion, I am just told when I need to have my bag packed. Its all good!
Property values going up and up is a good thing if you plan on selling your house soon. But be aware that house values going up mean higher property taxes too. I didn't realize that before now.

Just an fyi some HVAC systems thermostats do not need you to switch from a/c to heat, you set ur threshold temps & it turns on whatever you need. We have a Nest system & love it, can also adjust it remotely.
Here's to adding one more thing to the list of things we have in common...Your photography business...Paul used to do wedding photography for a couple of years, but it was like the proverbial "herding cats"! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family photos and we think that at least a few of them should have "Pride of Place" in your home somewhere. Yes, our realtor a year ago told us the cute farmhouse was part of the original land deal. She said back then that it would be renovated...taking a long time. Also yes, the Lifestyle visits cost different prices at different times of the year. Since we were coming all the way from California, they let us have a 2 week visit. And then a follow-up 2 week visit recently. The fellow in the villa next door to us was there on a month long visit!! Speaking of the villa next door, i found one of the 'painted rocks' in the landscaping! Did not take it, but left it for the next person to find and enjoy. We have them here in some of the neighborhoods. Loved that Gizmo got to be held during part of the video. We totally do the diet tip you gave!! Love you guys 🥰

Aweee, we have a rock painting group here at the beach in New Hampshire! A lot of our neighbors are snowbirds and bring them to Florida 💕 if you find Seabrook rocks, that’s from here😉

Thank you for sharing those beautiful family pictures. You have been so blessed. On the country club dining. We have had the opportunity to dine in several of the clubs while visiting family. Before selecting where to go, I've reviewed the menus. I am so impressed with the excellent options. Every place we went was wonderful and the prices are so reasonable.
I think here in Ga they discount you meter usage to fill a pool without an sewage usage and credit you on sewage IF you have to completely empty it for some reason. You have to call them first though.
The lofts would be more attractive if they had covered parking over the spaces. Due to the intense Florida sun a vehicle wouldn’t hold up to great outside all the time.
From here in the UK have been enjoying your shows for a long time now. Always fun, informative and of great interest as we do not have anything like the Florida Villages here. For a change we seem to be having warmer weather than you, but this will no doubt change very shortly. Keep up the good work and I assume you will have to become the Villlages Florida Old Timers eventually. Hope you can all keep clear of the Covid and enjoy another happy year.
Keep in mind, whatever you pay for water to fill the pool, you also pay in sewer, even though it's not going thru the sewer system. Our sewer bill is based on potable water use. And no, they won't make an exception for pool fills.

I think here in Ga they discount you meter usage to fill a pool without an sewage usage and credit you on sewage IF you have to completely empty it for some reason. You have to call them first though.

The lofts would be more attractive if they had covered parking over the spaces. Due to the intense Florida sun a vehicle wouldn’t hold up to great outside all the time.

From here in the UK have been enjoying your shows for a long time now. Always fun, informative and of great interest as we do not have anything like the Florida Villages here. For a change we seem to be having warmer weather than you, but this will no doubt change very shortly. Keep up the good work and I assume you will have to become the Villlages Florida Old Timers eventually. Hope you can all keep clear of the Covid and enjoy another happy year.
Keep in mind, whatever you pay for water to fill the pool, you also pay in sewer, even though it's not going thru the sewer system. Our sewer bill is based on potable water use.
And no, they won't make an exception for pool fills.
