Guys just 2 weeks before I got the Captiva LT 2022. My experience the car is average performance. The main drawback is the AC. The cooling is in adequate for this big car. Also the engine sound his very audible inside the cabin. Also the engine sounds like a diesel vehicle. The internal cabin plastics are low quality. Looks good, Just have a thought before going for it.
Hey, I am planning to buy a new car next month. I need an economical car for 2 people. I am considering a Toyota raize, Chevrolet groove, Toyota rush & mitsubishi ASX. I am also considering captiva but it starts with 75k & this is more than enough than what I need. Could you please help me to choose an appropriate vehicle. I am open to suggestions. Thanks
Seriously what happened to chevy though Scotty Kilmer said all American brands are made in China This is the proof from Baojun, They’ve should’ve named the captiva on that Modern Blazer
Yet what a shamed General Motors has decided to stop building Sedans. The only options are a cheaply built Malibu or a high priced Cadillac. No Buick sedans at all. I'm not a fan of Japanese cars but it looks like I have no other choice.
No navigation support as well in the infotainment system , I drove this car for around 2500 kms in one stretch and found it difficult keeping the cellphone near the dashboard as there's no room for keeping it
I had the opportunity to dabble the Captiva at the Dubai International Motor Show last year. It came as a surprise seeing the badge of a car that used to be built in South Korea on a Chinese car at first but then I learnt this was ought to happen as Chevrolet doesn't manufacture any crossovers by itself. I was unhinged by the stodgy built and plastics that they have used here. Even the earlier generation of the car uses soft-touch plastics and leather trims on the doors and door pads. However, taking into consideration the killer price tag it has been launched with, it seems like a value proposition. A sunroof, touch screen interface, rear AC vents and a digital instrument cluster make up for a great equipment list. These are the features that weren't available in its forebear generations as well. Addition of a third row makes it a versatile family hauler. That and the price might wow the customers. Have already started seeing some of these on the roads.
Earlier Captivas were rebadged Daewoo Windstorm so because of that they were made in South Korea. Now Captiva is a rebadged Baojun 530 which is originally from China.
No third row AC vents 😱 it's very necessary in this sweltering heat...... Plus adding a Chevy badge to a Chinese SUV doesn't add up to its reliability, let alone Chevy's prime reliability..... So buyers need to think twice before buying this Captiva.....
I drove this thing in Colombia a week ago. The engine is much too weak for a car of that size and weight. The car averaged 15 litres per 100km according to it's own computer while driving around 90kmh. Speaker sound quality is terrible and you can literally wiggle the centre console lid around as if it wasn't attached at all. This car is terrible.
Never Recommend,👎👎👎 This SUV ( #Chevrolet #Captiva) have too much fuel consumption issue. As per there website its mention 13.4 KM/L but its going only 6.5KM/L within City (Speed 60KM to 100KM) and Highway 7.5KM/L (100 to 130KM). I complaint to Al Ghandi Auto with All fuel report including fuel payment receipt but they are not accept the issue.
The indian version is much better bcz it has a dct transmission panoramic sunroof 18 inch wheels a 10.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system and 360 camera
@@YallaMotorEnglish In India it comes with 3 gearbox options for 1.5 turbo petrol that is 6 speed manual, 6 speed dct automatic and 8 speed cvt automatic.wheres for 1.5 turbo mild hybrid petrol and 2.0 diesel engine it comes with only 6 speed manual gearbox.
@@itsmeee7364 actually when I bought hector I was a little sceptical too so I asked the guy in the dealership he said it was a problem of some 3rd party wiring problem which caused the fire and they gave that person the refund money plus there are more cases in which nexon catches fire

Hi Hadi, It is a big car with a small engine but then again, performance was never the focus with this car It's all about being affordable and that the Captiva definitely is.
Worst car in this segment for highways. Only 45 litres fuel capacity Big jerk / shake in the car when there is a high wind. Bad LCD, takes 10 sec to work after every click. Only compatible with Iphone. AC is very bad

150 horsepower isn’t even enough for a hot hatchback, let alone a third-row SUV and I don’t think it’s an authentic Chevrolet because it was designed by Korean engineers who also designed the Chevrolet Spark...
MG hector sold in India offers way more features for the same price. However, the suspension is really bad a lot of rolling and pitching.
No chinese stuff..It can go wrong or even explode anytime..! 😁
No hector gaves comfortable ride and you not feel road noise and feel less bumps
I am big fan of japanese technology i used captiva it is excellent car currently i am using mitsubishi outlander it is beast
hows the fuel effeciency with captiva
Chevrolet is American not japanese
What can you guys suggest with other brands in terms of similar price and specs to this model?
