MK Gandhi was used to dilute and take the heat off from the freedon struggle as this would be beneficial for the brits by making things manageable for them.
MKG was as though airlifted & dropped in India .

Gandhi and Nehru were British MI-6 agents assigned to keep the independence movement peaceful for the overstretched British forces in one third of the world those colonial days. British did not want another Jalianwals bhag episode. In return Gandhi and Nehru were treated by kid gloves by British, kept in best of jails, never lathi charged , while Bose was expelled ,Savarkar sent to kalapani .British left India and other colonies also ,due to World war II fatigue when Royal Indian navy rebellion in 1946 and knew with Bose;s influence ,Indian soldiers unlikely to obey British officers order to carry out another Jalianwala bhag. . Whole country was systematically brain washed by Nehru to believe independence was won by the sacrifices of Nehru, Gandhi and congress party.

Of course, NETAJI🙏🏽. The true hero, warrior of Bharat.
Gandhi's legacy is contradictory in nature, in many instances. More political hype of Bharat's independence than actual action. Factually, he delayed independence.

It's insane to believe that a powerful imperial power, like the British Empire, would be cowed by the non-violence agitation of pre-independence India. It's obvious that the perception of violence, as in Afghanistan, got the Brits to flee India. It's good to hear a realistic narrative of the Indian people's journey to freedom and independence, and the demise of the British Empire.

Major General GD Bakhshi Sir, I fully agree with you ,that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Sir, was a key figure in accelerating the freedom of India as he was siding with the Germans which badly ruffled the feathers of the Brits. But it does not discount the great contribution, Mahatma Gandhi did for our freedom. Please don't get into the controversy of Gandhi bashing as you are a prominent retiree of the Indian Army. If you have certain ethos inculcated into you by the Indian army, it was inherited from tha British. I am not an admirer of the British because they screwed India geographically and socially. The Brits are known to be master manipulators. Both Subhash Chandra Bose Sir and Mahatma Gandhi played prominent roles.which complemented each other. One was a supporter of non violence and the other was the opposite. Yes, Subhash Sir did not get the due recognition he should have got and we need to make amends. We can do something like 2nd October for Subhash Sir,but I firmly believe that holidays are a drain to our economy. India has too many holidays which should be scrapped including Gandhi Jayanti and religious holidays. If we want to be 2nd to the US, we need to pull up our socks. I greatly admire the discipline of the RSS and if this can be segregated from religion India can develop in leaps and bounds. Jai Hind!

Shri Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose triggered fear in Britishers in a larger scale, that made them leave.
Shri Gandhi tried motivating people for freedom but that is not enough. Decisions like sending lakhs of indians to fight on behalf of britishers in world wars and the way india/bharatavarsha is partitioned and huge bloodshed, all that resulted in huge loss of life, cannot agree with him.
On other hand, britishers created artificial famines by taking grains from here and through multiple bad laws that csused loss of life of crores of indians.
Non-violence is good for specific scenarios. Shri Gandhi and Mr.Nehru we understand how they all got stuck in the image they made for themselves, took so many bad decisions.
Impact of Shri Alluri Sita Rama Raju, Shri Bhagat Singh, Shri Kudheeram bose, Shri Netaji and many others made britishers runaway from india.
Even after they left, Shri Nehru consulting them for opinion, that resulted in further chaos, not sure if this land of knowledge doesn't have the perspective

Wrong to give credit to one person for indepencdance. You look at honestly, after endnof second world war british empire and europe was bankrupt and not position to sustain colonial rule.
USA president FDR, put heavy pressure on churchill that american interest or post world war 2 world order need to end colonial power.
Britian and other colonial power had to end colonial rule and india
Got it independent partly due to post world war 2. World order taking place.
India alone did not become independent but also many countries
    Became independent.
Problem with indian mind set is single person gave them freedom which is impossible and far from truth.

Sorry CONgressi, we, Indians in majority are way more educated than u think. We know who are M.K.Gandhi and Nehru in reality. We know who delayed the Independence of India and why the Nigerians destroyed tbe statue of M.K. Gandhi. All are facts and written in the archives and testimonies given by those prominent people from Bharat and UK who were alive during the freedom struggle.
