    During the Revelation review, I thought "man I wish he had a pedal view so we could see which pedals he hits when," and then you use this view for the intro jam! I dig it, of course, your head gets cut off but I definitely enjoy being able to see the pedalboard.

    Another plus for solidstate/modeling gear over tube amps is the MP3 jack. On my Trio+ and Sdrum one line goes to the amp as normal and the line out goes to the amps MP3 jack. Drums and Loops are unaffected by the amps reverb, gain, etc. during playback.

      Could you explain how you do this a bit more. I'm intrigued how you don't get a feedback loop?

    Cheers Dave. Btw the standard way of describing a chain is from the Guitar TO an pedal/amp - I know you describe it the other way, but that could be confusing your viewers 👍🏻

      Thank you very much for watching I can't see the chain the other way. It doesn't make sense for some reason. Thank you again. :)

    I do the same trick with the Golden Plexi to controll the volume, and turn it to 9 o"clock so i don't loose the big fat distortion of the DS2 or the Big Muff (i use both). Cheers Dave,great video :)

    Hello, sorry for my english, its any way to run the looper into a loop FX? I put the looper in the end of the signal, after reverb, but only plays old recorded loops in amp... There are no signal of my guitar... Thanks

    • @thedavesimpson
      @thedavesimpson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Running into the send and return of your amp will make the loop cleaner. :)

    Ear ringing is tinnitus, try wearing ear plugs when playing otherwise you might get it more often and for longer.

    Could you show how to use an effects loop properly? Or if you already have a video on that could you link it to me? I have a katana 100 and have no idea how to go about setting up my looper for the effects loop.

      Search for it on youtube. There is an indian dude showing the 4 cable method. I have used it with a Katana100. Works great. Search Boss Katana 4 cable method

    I have a question, if your only using something like the Zoom G5, hx effects or any multifx, where abouts do you put the looper in the virtual chain then?

    • @thedavesimpson
      @thedavesimpson  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Always at the beginning straight after the amp. Same place it is here. :)

  • @PooNinja
    @PooNinja 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I never thought about this until watching this video I don’t know if you can answer it but why is it I can use my looper to play along with and it still sounds great but if two guitar players plug into the same amplifier...well it’s just a mess maybe you can set some light on for me???

    • @Pauld62
      @Pauld62 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Using a looper is still only 1 high impedance signal to the amp. Where as 2 guitars is doubling that load. That would be my guess 😁

    • @thedavesimpson
      @thedavesimpson  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no idea. Sorry.

    Hi Dave, not a question but a request please. Could you describe your signal chain from the guitar rather than the amp? From the guitar is the way almost everyone describes the chain. Also, because you describe the chain from the amp it's confusing when you say something is on the "input side". It's hard to know if you mean the guitar side which is the way most people would think of it, or if it's on the amp input side. Thanks! :)

  • @RWulff007

    I understand these concepts pretty good, but it might be a little confusing since you explain the signalchain the oposite way.
    This might confuse some viewers.
    But still,nice vid as usual. ✌🏼👊🏻🎵🎶🎸
