If this movie starred Seagal and involved food, it'd be called Gone in Six Seconds. Dope vid!

One good thing about this movie, is that it motivated me to watch the original from the 70's. The original movie wasn't the best acted, however it had one of the greatest car chases I have ever seen.
BTW. I think Quentin Tarantino was a fan of the original Gone in 60 Seconds as well. In the beginning of the movie, Maindrian Pace is speeding down a two lane highway with sunglasses lined up across the dashboard. Same scene was in Kill Bill when the sheriff was heading to the church. Just saying :)

"Everybody loves Angelina Jolie and I can't stand her" is something that I'd say myself but in general, not just in this movie. I don't get what people see in her.

I remember liking this movie when I was a kid. One thing I would like to add is that Hadley is also to blame for them being in that mess. Yes kalitri hired kids, but he was with them as kind of their organizer and wise older guy or whatever.

Good stuff RedEye but....no love for Master P....he was the gangster "Johnnie B" in the beginning getting his car axle removed via tow hook...the rap scene hit small town northern michigan hard with singles like...."make em say ughhh" and "burbans and lacs"...yes our classroom of 31 white kids and 1 deeply confused filipino boy ignited that summer...embodied in this very film.

Oh man, 2:54, the use of stereotypes: the Asian woman bad at driving (a stereotype twofer!) and a black guy who can't swim. Back in the '90s when we'd solved racism you could still do that.
At 5:16, shooting just one side of something is what you do. Bullets really fly, no matter who you're shooting at so you want to make sure you're all shooting in the same direction. And not at each other.

I went to see this movie just for Jolie riding MV Agusta as a so called loser mechanic/bartender back in living in Eastern Europe. When you did these jobs back then in my life, all you could afford was 20 years old shit little car like let's say Honda Civic wagon with 50hp and 150000 miles.
People living in West will not by able to relate but motorcycle fanatics living in Eastern Europe in 90's finding out that you would have to save money for about 20-30 years to have those bikes will cry in pain.

I love this movie but it doesn't exist if the bad guys don't two a couple of incredibly stupid things. First, why do they write down the names of the cars on a board that they can't remove? Even if it is painted in special marker that you can only see with blacklight, the cops use those to check for blood and stuff so it's not out of the realm of possibility that they'd see it without him breaking the lamp. Which brings me to the second thing. They smash the lamp. Memphis is given a hand written list when he comes on board so they had that handy. Robert Duvall puts the names on a chalkboard but I'm fine with that because that is easy to get rid of. Why paint the names in a random warehouse for the cops to find? Is there an in movie reason I have failed to notice on my dozen odd times seeing this thing?

This movie is why I never watched "The Fast and Furious" as it looked like a rip-off.

I do like Chi Mcbride. Although he tells his student that he knows he "can't swim" so he keeps his "black ass out the pool." Except you can get lessons for swimming and that's how you learn to swim. In what is apparently an ironic coincidence that nobody noticed you can also get driving lessons to help you be a better driver before taking the test. He is supposed to be an expert car thief who went legit and became a driving instructor so if she can't drive it's really on him. Was that all just an ad lib that nobody thought about logically or was it an actual written line that nobody thought about logically?

When you first hear that Raymond is called "The Carpenter" you naturally assume it's some bad ass name he picked up by killing people with a band saw or something. No, he actually makes wooden furniture as like a side gig and loves it he'll stop from killing someone if it harms his wood. Wooden furniture I mean. Though he has wood for both furniture and killing. So before he goes into his love affair with wood he talks about how much he hates metal. Why, then, does he steal cars and work out of a scrap yard? While I'm on this subject, why doesn't he have his own crew if his whole thing is stealing cars? Does he always sub-contract these things? Nothing about this guy makes sense.

0:08 Everyone that can read and write says that Nicolas Cage overacts, but why do you have to change it to "overreacts" or "underreacts"? Those are different words with different meanings, are you aware of that? Is English your Second language, or something? It gets in the way of enjoying these when your generation specifically keeps refusing to English all the time and adds unintended comedy, like the kind you highlight in your videos. You need to read more instead of mishearing things and jumbling them up in your head and repeating them wrong, then everyone knows what you did last summer, and it didn't involve any reading ever.
Oh and in my country, where English and your laws were invented, a known car criminal going up to a car and taking a photo is not reasonable grounds for a search warrant, but we believe in "freedom" here, whereas you believe in schoolshooter tyranny over there, obviously, but what would I know, apart form how to speak English and what not living in a tyranny looks like.
