Nice to see a new coach in town. Can't wait to see what Pete can do! He was great at USC
Bro you smoking sum huh? Did you not see the date
@qpap9555 No he looks a lot like our previous coach and also coached at USC but different guy my man
@@Crazyfool12lol
Ah, I don't think he'll work out - 3 seasons and he'll be gone! 😆
@@qpap9555Seems you’re new to sarcasm
And we never saw a suit again I think this the first time I seen him with a suit haha. Thank you coach for what you have done for Seattle. I became a fan in 2010 it’s when I moved to Seattle. It going to be hard not seeing you on the sidelines.
Greatest coach in Seattle sports history. Thank you Pete for all the memories, you will be missed.
Pete carroll is the seattle seahawks ,his accomplishments in the organization made us proud to be a seattle seahawks fan .
Legend Pete, go Hawks, 💙 💚
The memories will never be forgotten Thank you Pete Carroll!!!!!!!💙💚
As a young one, weird to think from birth to now, Seahawks had only have 1 Head Coach. I’ll really miss this guy 😢
No other coach in Seattle sports lore compares. He is the King. Rare would be the coach that ever surpasses the ten years with Russell and the teams he entertained us with on Sundays Mondays, Thursdays, and even Saturdays. Unbelievable happiness memories forever.
We miss ya pete💪🏾💯
ALL THE 12s LOVE YOU PETE CARROLL! ALWAYS WILL FOREVER A SEATTLE SEAHAWK💙💚💙💚
WE ARE NOT DONE!! 💚💙💚💙
#NFL#1COACH!!
Just look at the way he entered that room. You KNEW that man had character and was bound to be a great head coach. You will be missed Coach Carroll!
Coach Pete is such a special person and we are so lucky to have had his experience and guidance. Youll be missed as the HC but excited to still have you around the organization.
Crazy I was 8 when this man became our head coach. Gunna Miss You Pete ❤

Run run pass. What an era. Pete you will be missed my man
Thank you Pete!!! I had the opportunity to talk with some of his assistants at USC at a coaches clinic. They raved about what a motivator and leader he was. So much respect for his career. Coaching takes so much work. Amazing job Pete ❤😊
He followed through on all his promises. I’m wrecked😭😭😭
Carroll’s high energy is contagious
He accomplished everything he wanted! Thanks so much for the memories Coach Pete!
💙💚 Miss you already😓
I was a sophomore in high school when he became coach. He brought so much to not only the franchise, but for the city of Seattle. Pete Carroll is my favorite coach of all time.
So full of inspiration, its spilling over.
Can't believe we didn't give him one more year to see this new vision/rebuild through. If the wheels fell off then, fine, but we had a tough schedule this year and dealt with a lot of injuries.
Not to mention terrible officiating. I mean hell, had Myers hit the field goal against the rams we would be in the playoffs. Then what? Do they still fire him? And that game was also terribly officiated.
The cowboys game was another one that we lost to the refs. I know we were terrible at tackling as well and lost a couple more games because of that so it's not all on the refs but they still ruined our playoff chances and with how the practices go now they don't have too many opportunities to work on tackling drills. I believe that is on the players though, not the coach. They know how to tackle, they've been doing it for years, they just played half ass a lot this year. That's why I would have liked to see another year with Pete because I believe he would have addressed a lot of things this off-season.
Facts. We need one more year of Pete to really see. Idk why they thought this was the time. Real 12s know. Fuck the noise
new vision? Rebuild? The vision hasn't changed, and we aren't in a rebuild. The fact that we've strayed so far away from the things he's talking about in this press conference is why he was let go....
Especially because he had 1 year left of contract. Just let him finish it out while helping with the rebuild
Oof. Almost to the day. Look at that young stud! We love you Pete, thank you so much for what you taught me as a leader of high performing human beings.
Holy shit you’re right
0:52 " Today we announce a new Era of Seahawks Football !" What words then , and now we know IT WAS THE ERA !!!! Thank you Pete for all the memories, the Super Bowl and all the things you have done for the Sport and our Franchise !
I just saw Pete talking to the great QB. WARREN MOON. GO HAWKS. . SEATTLE ALL THE WAY. BEST COACH IN SEATTLE HISTORY. . 💚💚💙💙💚💚💙💙💚💚💙💙💚💚💚💙💙💙💙💚💚💚💚💚
Us moving pete carroll is gonna be the death of us
No it won't lmao
I get that feeling too. Hope I'm wrong. I would have liked to see one more year.
Look at it from this perspective, we've been a mediocre team for years. Being .500 (give or take) year after year is tiresome. Pete is getting older, and the game is evolving. He isn't fired, and he will still be around. We need fresh eyes to help construct this team that has an insane amount of weapons, that doesn't seem to be utlizied to their full potential. I'm grateful as a fan for the time we had with him as a head coach, but nothing good in life continues forever. We have to embrace change, and trust the process.
This could've happened at any time in the last 14 years, it was bound to happen now. But I do think that under the circumstances, Jody Allen has treated him well, his relationships with the players and front office are still solid (especially with John Schneider), and who knows? If he wants it he could retain the VPO position. I think he still wants to coach coz that's what's in his heart, it's his reason for living; but if he elects to stay with Seattle he'll have a positive influence on the team no matter what position he takes.
I prefer to look forward to what the right head coach hire is going to do with another fabulous roster we've built, with studs starting at nearly every position. Yeah there are some gaping holes -- OG, C, S, LB, and DT come to mind; but Schneider has the wheel now and he'll do the best with the limited draft choices and salary cap we have to work with to fill as many of those holes as possible, and re-form the type of complete team we had in 2013-2014. And as long as the new HC can get buy-in from these players, and exact a little discipline from the rooks and other young bucks, we're not consigned to an inevitable decline. I think this will turn out fine with the right HC hire and the autonomy Schneider now has to build a first-class roster.
It's going to be ok. We have to take steps on a new path. The last several years we've just been waning. The NFL has moved on without us, and we have amazing players. Their potential needs to be harnessed, not wasted.
Thanks pete it was a fun run😊
What an amazing run! Grateful.
Stopping to chop it up with former players, no problem delaying his introductory tv interview with a new organization just exemplifies Pete Carrol, he always put people first.
If they ever need someone to play Pete Carroll in his biopic , first on that list should be Owen Wilson. He too has a crooked nose, & resembles Carroll with the help of movie makeup/ magic.
After winning the Super Bowl: “wow”
God… he changed everything.
Love you, Pete.
Best coach Hawks ever had, sad to see him go.
Youll be missed, especially watching u run up and down the field chewing your gum
Ah, I see we're using the Futurama approach! Live thru a time and repeat. I mean, RePete!😂😂😂
Ah, Pete, I really appreciate you and everything you did💙💚💪
Pete pete pete my guy you are a 🐐 and a HOF hopefully you stick around like pat Riley in Miami and continue to create greatness always a hawk GO 12'S
Pete we love you
😢 Forever, my coach of the Hawks! 💪🏾💯 Best in the business!! 🎯 💯 💯 💯
#Hawks4Life 💚💪🏾👊🏾💯💙
❤️👏👏👏💚💙Love you Coach Pete! Always will remain the LOB Coach in the history of Seattle Football!
He will be missed as a Seahawks coach thanks for great memories.
The Legend.
The Seahawks had some guy named Mora as coach for a year. Then the news came out that the Seahawks hired Pete Caroll. I called my brother, and the first thing I said was we are going to win the Super Bowl. And they won superbowl 48. Best game I watched.
And but for one bad play Super Bowl 49.
Lol, I was so mad🤣 But I quickly was sold on Pete. So glad we had him☺️
When Paul Allen first hired Pete I was VERY suspicious. He did great at USC, I just thought that the NFL routinely ate him up as a HC and wasn't at all confident he could take what he built in USC and translate that to the NFL. Boy was I wrong. He'll be a 1st ballot HOFer without a doubt, and with his energy he'll be alive to accept it himself in Canton. He and Jimmy Johnson remain the only two NFL HC's to have won a college championship AND NFL championship in their careers. That is no small thing, as we've seen over the years. Many have tried, many have failed.
The Jim mora year is burned into my mind, we were 5-11 and looked worse than the previous year, which was 4-12. We were POVERTY AND IN RUINS!!! 😂 there is an Applebees up in Mt Vernon that STILL has Aaron curry wall art, it drives me insane 😂
@@Saixjacket I remember that 2009 season. Hasselbeck was the QB
Jones was running back. Not very good.. they overpreformed for the roster.
17:48 cameraman was snoopin around lmaooo
I believe to my core the Seahawks Organization made a terrible mistake in moving on from Pete Carroll at this time. 😤
Nope, this is the right choice. As much as we all love Pete, it is his time. For a defensive guy, having his Defense bottom 5 for like 5 years in a row, he should've probably been fired a couple years ago
The decision will be vindicated if Dan Quinn or some other first-rate HC comes in here with the roster Pete and John have built and light up the NFL. We're at a time in the evolution of the league where the older you get as a coach the further detached you become from the mentality of players they're having to draft from Gen-Z. Coaches have to undo a lot of damage that's been done to players' mindsets about what is owed to them and what others should expect to get from them in return.
In that aspect a younger coach will be useful and perhaps necessary -- but someone who can count on, and expect, veteran players to assert THEIR leadership on their teammates and reiterate the message that mediocrity is not an option, that the inmates don't run the asylum, and that while Pete was all about the players, he wasn't ONLY about the players; he expected them to put out.
That's something we didn't see this past season on D, and that was even with seasoned vets like Lockett and B-Wag in the locker room. That's an indicator that Pete's approach to the newer players was probably not sinking in, and probably won't until a player or two is either cut or relegated to the practice squad until they get a clue. WE may see a lot of churn among young players on their rookie contracts over the next season or two until the message is driven home that everything they do -- including blowin' cigars in the locker room after missing the playoffs -- matters, not just what they tweet out on X or scroll through on TikTok or play on X-Box.
Make a compilation of Pete’s best stories
Thank you Pete for everything
14 years later, the microphones for the questions still suck 😂
PETE FOR PRESIDENT ! This man's wisdom and philosophy could change the word .thanks Pete.
Who would've known at the time that this was the day SEAHAWKS football changed forever.
Fire him, then post this the next day? Kinda cold don't ya think?
Thanks for the memories Pete!!! 💙💚
Love You Coach Thank You Forever A Legend 💯🐐
beautiful
❤️❤️.... I honestly wasn't sure about it as I watched, but holy crap he did a great job!
Thank you Pete 🎉
I really hope this guy is better than Jim Mora Jr.
If we manage to get Dan Quinn we'll be just fine.
@@briane173 I'd be thrilled to have Dan Quinn!
2 words I'd go back and yell to him. "RUN IT!"
Go hawks 💙💚
For a second I thought the guy in a green shirt recording Pete in the very beginning was John Schneider 😂
So much time has passed that Oberto doesn't even use that catchphrase and the Seahawks logo has been altered!
Dang 40 mins😂
I love U Seattle 🙏🥹 And Seattle Seahawks Home of The Lights!!!!!!!!
Seahawks should consider bringing back the gray stripe to their logo.
You will be missed Pete Carroll!
Kenney Easley was my first Favorite Player. John L Williams my first favorite RB. I lived through the Rick "Wallow in the" Myer years ( sorry rick) the Poison pill of Steve Hutchinson with Minnesota, the love great but sell out hate of Shawn Alexander. Ground Chuck, to script it like a book Holmgren. ... a Blue Moon to late if we could of got him a little sooner, to our pro bowl Linebaker Jon Kitna! Walter Jones , Cortez Kennedy, Chad Brown .. Tatupu . Brain blades , Trufant , big play babs, Matt Baby Face Hasselbeck , flat top Jim Zorn ( i met him once) .. Dave Krieg made a living out of running for his life and still finding a way to win. Steve Largent Do more with less, play with heart, is forever engrained in the Seahawk logo. I believe it's a mistake, I think Pete had this team ready for post LOB. Bobby, Cam, richard, Earl, and Marshawn (yes lynch was just as key to that group, to that team it was tone, it was offense or defense we coming for that action. play fast hit big or go home) Post Russel Wilson. Geno is proof that if you come and compete and if the chance for you to shine .. The Seahawks won't sell you out for some unknown 1st rounder or some washed up veteran. I think that support that loyalty transcends down the ranks. To the last roster spot.. .. Pete Carrol brought that just ask Doug Baldwin, Michael Bennet. .. but what do I know this was all just off the top of my head .. Thank you for every thing , ComPete Carrol we will miss you.
"its a blast to be a seahawk" thank you Russ for giving the franchise the iconic "Go Hawks" for press conferences.
THE GUY HASNT CHANGED EVEN A LITTLE BIT HUH?!? Goodbye Pete thank you man 😢
Here after just watching Mike's
Just like it felt weird not having LOB , beastmode and Russ on the team it feels weird not having Pete as coach who can forget 2012-2014 seasons those were good times to be a fan LOB has been the greatest defense in recent times
Best In the franchise
The good ol days.... There was the beginning 🎉
Look how young he looks 😮
Thats why it was time for him to move upstairs he could not get the best out of the players anymore and we were certainly not being judged on excellence.
Seems like a great coach. I bet he gets us a Superbowl in 3 to 4 years.
BRING EM BACKKKK
Since the Bing mic got as much exposure as Pete it's a safe bet that the camera was a staff DP from Microsoft. Paul Allen: Meet our new head coach! Oh, and use Bing! We invested a lot into it.
How tf did they have better audio back then😂
He will be missed. But he is still a hawks only higher up in booth.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😢Always we flew together we will be lifted together we cover each other we FORGET And Forgive One another We Love One another We ALL IN 2eachOther2gether4EVER!!!!!!!
How did an Executive Vice President and Head Coach title be over powered by a General Manager level??!! 😢 That gets me! Any kind of explanation on this?!
Run it back turbo. With Harbaugh
Miss you already Pete which you could have stayed.
Ill miss pete
I think that Pete can bring a Lombardi to Seattle! I have a good feeling about this!
Good to know the people behind the camera have been shit at their job for the whole Pete era.
😂
Smartest move ever made by the franchise.
Jodi’s hitting the panic button and firing him…..the worst.
I think this guy might be good
back when people talked to each other and not glued on their phones
Maybe phones weren't as sophisticated as they are now but I remember people being stuck on their flip phones or early iphones. 2010 wasn't that long ago.
We need a statue!
😢😢😢
who is that young man, someone get him a coaching job.
9-8 with such a young team. Just needed more time. Glad we have a dead billionaire's sister to make these decisions. What a travesty to this legendary tenure and career.
I think he should go back to college. Young guys would thrive under him
I give him until the 2011 season at best
Why you guys are not smart smh🤦♀️🤦♀️
Is that the fat John Schneider? 0:18?
Pete shouldve gone out on his own terms and when he wanted to. Pushing him out was just wrong and i lost respect for the organization
Who is here in 2024 and he is leaving.. Thanks Pete
First
He did amazing and brought a super bowl.
baaah……this is just more of the same….
