    I work for a company that's under a parent corporation whom sell defense and weapons to the Government. I found a vulnerability, let's just leave it at that. I told my supervisor and he let "it" know. IT never sent me a reply.
    Someone in our company gotten in trouble before for "snooping" around and gain access to hr folder where all of our information was held. I'm taking bank accounts, SSN, security clearance etc. They fixed the issue but reprimanded the guy who found the vulnerability 🤷‍♂️. Tbh I don't understand why he got into trouble. Our company always tells us to raise our hand when something is wrong.

      The same happened in a company that I worked for. The IT departments are incompetent. Another guy hosted a web server from his office PC. And when my team requested some data from the backups they could not find the backed up data. Also, I got reprimanded for outranking the company's keyword for a page on my website advertising jobs, and they cached my page on their servers making it hard to remove from web searches.

      @@XeTylerr Really, I kind of want to as well. Fuck the web dev industry lol. I just spent an entire month refreshing Java Spring Boot, Express, and Flask for a new job. I have so much experience working with Unix, Linux, and computers in general. A deep knowledge of Computer Science, HTTP, all that stuff is beneficial to a hacker. For instance, the hack where you change the URL from which a person updates their NPM packages from, those types of hacks prove that web development knowledge overlaps into INfoSec. For SURE. And I have quite a few felonies for drug possession from when I was a strung out addict. I hope that the InfoSec community will be just as forgiving as all my previous employers.

    its actually more dangerous to be going slow in traffic then speeding is. contrary to what most people believe the speeder presents less danger then a slow car does so going below the speed limit is more dangerous then going faster then the speed limit. its also the reason why you are required to pull over and let traffic pass when you are holding up the speed of traffic when there is only one lane of traffic ( at least in california) and this is all backed up with traffic data. a simple search will give you everything you need Mr smarty pants

    • @notcamer0n
      @notcamer0n 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Someone going slow is only dangerous in the presence of impatient people who drive recklessly in order to go faster or where you’re meant to be going really fast and visibility it’s obscured by hills or turns. Those are the sole reasons slow poke laws exist. Even then slow poke laws generally only relate to highways and interstates where the road is just for transport. There’s nothing worth stopping for and any shops would be on an off ramp.
      Given the way the guy described that he was looking around at a *strip mall*, it’s natural to assume it’s a road/parking lot he could go a little slow on. He was getting out of people’s way which makes his situation perfectly fine and safe. I’d wager the cop was more concerned that he was staking out a business or a person which is suspicious and not because it was unsafe to go that slow
