Hoover Dustmanager Bagless Vacuum! Worst bagless ever?

It's the most colourful Hoover we've had for a while, but is there anything else good about this cleaner? It's shed fresh, untested and unknown! Let's have a look.

Got my first house in 2020 and i got the red 1600w version and it is great i still use it to today along side a dyson dc04

Call me crazy, but I kinda like how quirky they are. I imported the red “hepa” one here to the states to go with my purepower collection and I do enjoy it even though it is admittedly awful. Does work better than the TP and TM freedoms at least haha. Though that is not saying much. Thanks for sharing Sam!

I have a 2000w green one with a soft start and pcb want to convert it into a purepower

Omg 😱 it’s another one with the awful porous dust box, Roger had a Hoover-cylinder on other day with a lovely dust box, I had an Electrolux hi lite upright in 2005 with the same type of dust box, it destroyed its motor eventually, fit a bag on it 😝

Rogers discovery is what I was going on about too! Mine was blue and 2200w and had the turbo head but idk if there were different generations. The wand fittings bought back memories too, I forgot about that 😂

these are absolutely horrible machines but i lovee how they look and theyre nostalgic to me so i really want one lol all the colours. The later ones with cyclonic bin werent so bad

How often did the motors fail?

Probably very regularly, their not a common machine to find anymore! Poor things ran mostly clogged their whole lives and just overheated until the bearings went and the owners went and bought a dyson/shark. Or the motor stayed fine but the chassis snapped 😂

Oh god. So much hate for these. We had one and it went through about 5 motors within warranty because the bin drops down. The service man brought this little foam pad in a bag which was the official bodge from hoover to try and stop the bin falling off. Utter shit.

Does it? That's interesting! Mine doesn't have a foam pad, guess it was declared shite and shoved in the shed before you gave up on yours 😂

honeslty i find it pretty neat but i think hoover tried to hard. a bissell powerforce can outclean that lol

You can buy a bag adapter and it screws in then yes, and tbh that's the sensible way to do it and have a pretty vacuum 😂
