@@EMDEEW There is a big difference between both sounds. The Rd1 is darker like the old worn out pianos of the early 70's and fits well for jazz and vintage rock pieces. The Rd2 has the sound of a modern piano. Both are absolutely necessary in a Stage Piano IMHO. I wonder if Yamaha plans to update the firmware at some point to add the missing sounds. @@pf_masa Actually I want to know if there are pipe organ sounds on the Yc.The Ck has.. ( you played dim 7th s chords almost throughout over a pedal bass :) )
Thank you!! Your comment makes me happy.♪ Whether it can be used for studio recording depends on the level of quality the user is looking for. I think the CK61 is of excellent quality considering its convenience. In my case, if the successor to MONTAGE that may be released next month looks good, I plan to purchase it for studio use.🎹
@@pf_masa Nice! I'm betwin the CT S1 and the CT S500 as my first keyboard... but i don't know, maybe the CK for the price is a good option that requires a little more sacrifice.
@@samuelnerick For your first keyboard, I think it's OK to choose the CT-S1 or CT-S500. Also, the initial investment for CK61 is high, but if you use it for a long time, there will be no need to replace it. If your budget allows, I recommend CK61☺
Thanks for your comment. I have tried playing the YC61. The YC61 has more types of sounds than the CK61, and we can check the setting values with the LED, so it is very attractive in terms of content🎹 However, I was concerned about the clattering sound when the keyboard structure was played. Also, the CK61 has a built-in speaker and can be powered by batteries, so we can take it outdoors, and it's compact and reasonably priced.☺
I've never played the MM6, but it sounds like a MOTIF series sound. It may be less than the 569 sounds of the MM6, but the CK seems to have a carefully selected selection of usable sounds. One thing to note is that the CK does not have drum sounds.
This is surprisingly good for an entry level workstation/stage piano especially if you want some decent sounds with minimal fuss. Something like this might perfectly complement Halion 7, it's incredible especially considering it's under £100 but what about the drum kits?
Thank you for your comment! I also think that it is suitable for entry-level stage pianos. The CK61 doesn't have drum kit sounds... I would have liked to have it installed.
Thank you wonderful playing as always! This New Age Pad somehow reminds me of the Sound Joe used during the Zawinul Syndicate Time. What do you think about that?
Thank you Kono-san for your demo of all the sounds, wow so cool. The Pianos all sound superb and very realistic. I love those e pianos especially Rhodes sound with Phaser (I love all the Bee Gees songs with Rhodes Phaser sound). I can tell you love the Phaser effects like me this is my favourite too, I have the Mxr Phase 90 and Electro harmonix Small Stone pedals. I play guitar as well and the Uni Vibe is one of my favourite guitar effects also. The strings with phaser sound like early Jean Michel Jarre sounds, very nice! Two of my favourite piano players / keyboardists are Benny Andersson from Abba and Richard Tandy from Electric Light Orchestra. I love the sounds they used on their famous songs, Yamaha GX1, CP 80, Wurlitzer electric piano, moog with various effects creating unique sounds. This Yamaha CK61 replicates a lot of these sounds, I would love to have this keyboard, it really is a fantastic instrument. 🤩
Thank you. I also think that the CK61 has a lot of great sounds at a reasonable price. And like you, I love the Phaser effect☺ Yamaha GX1!! I played the GX1 when I was 12 years old. It was a monster instrument.
@@pf_masa- Wow Kono you played the GX1 at only 12 years old, amazing yes a monster instrument. I like those Tyros keyboards too, I assume you must of played those too? Thank you Kono. 🎹😊
@@pf_masa So important to hear all of the Sounds. Thanks for taking your time to do this!. Now i only hope the keybed on the 61 feels good to me. So smart and clever keyboard. Splits and layers and everything. Also, been looking into Nord Electro but it has no pitch and mod wheel which a need. Great work Yamaha!!.
Thank you for your comment. I haven't used the CK61 in a band yet, so it's hard to comment. However, since the CK61 has a compressor, it may be possible to improve the clarity of the sound by increasing the ratio.
Very well done good job my friend. You captured the essence of those instruments unlike many people who will play a trombone sound as a chord in the upper register and then wonder why it doesn’t sound like a trombone! I like your upcoming summertime video, except for the Seinfeld bass I suggest you redo that with a better sounding bass and it will sound amazing. The cord structures are fantastic.
I am happy to read your comment! I love the sound of the trombone. Especially the glide playing method☺ I will also prepare various performance videos for the summer!
Hello sir, I'm originally a guitarist and just starting to produce my own music. Right now I'm kind of into modern J-pop music that have complex strings and brass parts. Do you recommend this keyboard for the sounds and features it has? I'm not planning to perform live with it so I don't really care about the keybed as I can edit parameters inside DAW, but I've also considered a PSR or a MODX for articulation voices but they're above my budget. Or do you have another recommendation? Thanks in advance🙌🏽😊
Hello. I recommend the CK61 piano and electric piano, but they don't have built-in drum sounds. I also like the recently released Roland JUNO-D series, which allows you to make music with 8 tracks including drum sounds. I will be posting my review of the JUNO-D on TH-cam soon, so I think it would be a good idea to watch that as well. Thank you ☺👍✨
Excuse me, my CK88 Ac.Piano sounds come out NOWHERE NEAR as bright, rich and crisp as I hear them in this demo -and others. Mine sound chunky, woody, boxy even. What can be wrong, does anyone of you an idea?
The sound in this video of mine was recorded with Zoom's L-12 using LINEOUT from CK61. Should you place your CK88 on a desk or on a stand? It's possible that the sound may be different depending on the placement or equalizer settings.
I once had a MODX6. I will share my experience with you. If it's OK to create simple sounds using effects, the CK61 is fine, but if you want to make sounds more elaborately or if you like the sound, the MODX6 is better. The advantages of the CK61 are its compactness, built-in speaker, and good keyboard structure. If I had one complaint with the MODX, it was the keyboard structure, which was hard to control. Thanks for your comment!☺
The Yamaha CK61 is super GOOD LOOKING. The chasis is so soft to the eyes with those soft lime green buttons and the royal blue display screen. It is so damn preety. I wish it had arpeggiator. And i wish it was a synthesizer. Most of the synths out there have buttons with red lights. I hate it; it gives me migrane. The Yamaha CK looks so fine and relaxing. About the sound. I am not a professional pianist or so. But to me it sounds crisp and sharp. Yamaha's quality. Sound nice. Made me think about how it will sound with more stronger effects like reverbs etc.
Thanks for your comment! I agree with you. I think it would be great if the next-generation "Montage", which has an excessively large panel area, has a design similar to CK.☺
I was almost certain that this would be the very instrument to replace my MX49 as main piano/organ synthesizer, but Yamaha have really crippled this machine by depriving it of drum kits and wind instruments. They lured me with the tritimbrality, the ease-of-access drawbars and effect controls, and EQ faders, but I just don’t think it was right for them to forsake wind instruments and percussion especially for the price. As much as I like the drawbars, I think I’ll stick with the Motif family.
Thanks for your comment! I once owned a Motif7 and MX49. The CK61 is not a high-grade FS keyboard like Motif or MONTAGE, but I feel that the keyboard is very comfortable to play. On the other hand, as you said, I wanted drum sounds🎹!!
Are you using the in-built speaker's, they sound excellent. Or are you using others, if so, any chance of letting us know which one's, would be good to know by all of us admires 😊
Thank you for your comment. When I recorded this time, I also played the CK61 speaker. In addition, LINEOUT→DigitalMixer zoom L-12→iloud monitor speaker also sounded. Below are the iloud products. I share this information with you.☺ www.ikmultimedia.com/products/iloudmm/
@@pf_masa Oh cool. I am after this board and already have the MTM iLouds. They are terrific speakers, as well as this keyboard. Great playing and thanks so much for the sound tutorial
krome ex has a large display, a tones of your choice, if you want drum sounds/drum tracks (rhythm machine function) (CK does not have drum sounds), an arpeggio function, and a 16-track sequencer. If there are certain things you desire, it may be a good idea to choose them. I prefer CK's tone, and I also like CK's keyboard structure.
The CK61 does not come with a volume pedal, so if you need one, you will need to purchase one separately (FC7). jp.yamaha.com/products/music_production/accessories/fc7/index.html
I think the S3100's various instrument sounds could be a little thicker in the mid-low range. If I were asked which one to choose in terms of sound, I would choose the CK61 without hesitation♪
Wow, feels like the soundset is so much more usable than the lower-tier models -- only a few sounds I couldn't see anybody ever using vs. 3/4 of the sounds but they're just adding absolute garbage to say 'has ___ sounds'
Thanks for your comment! I agree with you.☺ Musical instrument makers seem to be competing for the number of sound sets these days. I think it's quality over quantity.
With the CK61, if you keep pressing the keyboard even if you change the tone, the previous tone will remain. However, the effect turns into a changed effect! I think this is exactly where the CK61 should be improved. I don't think it's NG if the effect changes even though the tone is preserved.
Can I ask a question for those who owned this keyboard? 2 actually. first, does this keyboard have an applause sound? My Nord stage three applause sound is an actual game show audience. And second, where are the hits? Like orchestra hits, or a brass hit, etc I don't own this Yamaha keyboard, persay, but I'd like to know what the applause sound on this one sounds like. Game show audience? Cheering crowd? Theater? My Nord stage three applause sound is a game show studio sound.
Thank you for your question♪ The CK61 does not have any sound effects like drum tones or audience clapping. It doesn't seem to have any hit sounds either. Tomorrow, I will upload a video comparing the JUNO-D and this CK61 in detail, so it may be helpful to you. Please take a look at that as well♪
@@pf_masa thank you for the quick response. I'll see the video when I get a chance. But maybe you could tell me what sounds the Juno keyboard has that you're gonna compare this Yamaha keyboard to. Yes, I'll see the video, but what applause sound am I gonna hear from the Juno? Cheering crowd? Studio audience? Like my Nord stage three keyboard. Would like a heads up before I watch the video. I'm also wondering if the Juno has the hits. Orchestra hits, mix hits, like most game show themes today use. I also don't want that Juno applause sound to scare me, thus I asked the question. If the Juno has the applause sound, what noise is it gonna be? Is it a cheering crowd like a theater type audience? Or is it just regular applause like my Nord stage three keyboard? I used to own my Yamaha montage, and that had a very well produced cheering crowd. Despite being a sound. Gave it up a year ago for Nord stage three, and that sound is even more well produced than the Yamaha. Nord keyboards have all types of hit. Sounds that help me out in making up my game show theme production. When answering my question for the Juno, maybe you can tell me in greater detail what sound it is so I can hear it in the video. The Nord stage three applause sound I have is just regular studio audience applauding on a game show setting. True versions of it exist. One is regular applause, and one has a cheering crowd which I like to use. Or play with.
@@codymerryman5605 The tones I use in the videos I upload are piano, electric piano, organ, and strings, and the main content is to show the differences in functions. The JUNO-D has a wide variety of hit sounds and sound effects, and the total number of tones is 3800. There is a sound list on the Roland website, so I think it's a good idea to check it out.
@@pf_masa thanks for the info. I own a Rowan go Keys three. That has hits and applause section. Could you showcase the Juno applause section? I am familiar with a Nord keyboard. Used to own one about 4 years ago. So I quite know their sound catalogue. But the Roland go Keys three for my birthday last year. I'm hoping the Juno hits and applause section can be viewed. So I can hear what they sound like.
@@codymerryman5605 I searched the Juno-D sound list and it seems there are over 10 hit sounds, including Orchestra Hit. There are three types of applause and others in the drum kit, but I don't know if they are the applause you want. So you have a GO:KEYS3! I have one too and I love it.
Everything you can ever want in a keyboard demo. PERFECT

I wonder if Yamaha plans to update the firmware at some point to add the missing sounds. On their web site, there's no download for the CK. Someone should contact them & ask.
Lovely demo
Thank you !!
I wish I could play piano like this.
If you believe, if you keep practicing, you will be able to play it✨
THANKS SO MUCH.
Thank you for your comment !!☺

Thanks for showing everything in details. Just out of curiosity, do they have synth comp settings? those with punches.
Thank you! Comp is an effect that can be applied to all tones.
Excelente, muchas gracias desde España
Thank you !!☺
Wow Great video, thanks a lot. DGX670 vs CK88 which would u prefer?
Thank you for your nice comment! The DGX670 is not available in Japan, so I haven't played it yet. But I have played the CK88 and thought it was very good☺
One brilliant demo❤️ Any major tweaking done to the stock sounds?
Thank you♪ I haven't made any major adjustments to the sounds, but I've organized my favorite sounds and prepared them so they're always ready to use☺
Bom dia.. ótimos timbres
Thank you !!☺👍✨
I just got mine and its a killer keyboard. It covers so much and really well. I was hoping the 'H' organ would get close enough to my XK-1c and with some tweaking, It I got it damn close! So, I am a happy camper!
You got CK61! congratulations!!
I think that the CK61 will become a reliable instrument for me depending on my ingenuity☺
This keyboard has favorites sound bank? And how much u can save ur sound?
Very useful, THANK YOU!
Thank you for your comment !!
Yours skills are mad
👍✨
Thank you for the demo..
I wonder if there is a similar one for the yc series and modx+
Thanks for your comment! I think the YC series has a tone similar to the CK61. I think the MODX series contains sounds that are a little different.☺
@@pf_masa Actually I want to know if there are pipe organ sounds on the Yc.The Ck has.. ( you played dim 7th s chords almost throughout over a pedal bass :) )
@@benedictdsilva3954 Next time I have a chance to play YC, I would like to check if there is a pipe organ.☺
Masataka San, as always amazing playing!
Would you recomment this keyboard for Studio Recording?
Thank you!! Your comment makes me happy.♪
Whether it can be used for studio recording depends on the level of quality the user is looking for.
If your budget allows, I recommend CK61☺
amazing content. thankyou.
Thank you !☺👍✨
Thanks for a very helpful demo. Have you tried YC61 before? I'm really curious about buying this CK or the more expensive YC
Thanks for your comment. I have tried playing the YC61. The YC61 has more types of sounds than the CK61, and we can check the setting values with the LED, so it is very attractive in terms of content🎹
However, I was concerned about the clattering sound when the keyboard structure was played. Also, the CK61 has a built-in speaker and can be powered by batteries, so we can take it outdoors, and it's compact and reasonably priced.☺
I hear so many of these sounds on my MM6. Wondering now how much of an upgrade it will be.
I've never played the MM6, but it sounds like a MOTIF series sound. It may be less than the 569 sounds of the MM6, but the CK seems to have a carefully selected selection of usable sounds.
One thing to note is that the CK does not have drum sounds.
Thank you!
Thank you for your comment !
I just bought this😊
Wow, congratulations! Have a nice CK61 life! ☺
FINALLY! THANK YOU!!!
Thanks for your comment !!!
I love your playing so much... that's so inspirational.
What song is played at 5:45 and 10:07?
Thank you!! The songs at 5:45 and 10:07 were composed by me.☺
This is surprisingly good for an entry level workstation/stage piano especially if you want some decent
sounds with minimal fuss. Something like this might perfectly complement Halion 7, it's incredible
especially considering it's under £100 but what about the drum kits?
Thank you for your comment! I also think that it is suitable for entry-level stage pianos.
The CK61 doesn't have drum kit sounds... I would have liked to have it installed.
Thank you wonderful playing as always!
This New Age Pad somehow reminds me of the Sound Joe used during the Zawinul Syndicate Time. What do you think about that?
Thank you for your nice comment. Certainly, CK61's "new age pad sound" is reminiscent of the background sound of Zawinul Syndicate Time.
And like you, I love the Phaser effect☺
Yamaha GX1!! I played the GX1 when I was 12 years old. It was a monster instrument.
@@pf_masa- Wow Kono you played the GX1 at only 12 years old, amazing yes a monster instrument. I like those Tyros keyboards too, I assume you must of played those too? Thank you Kono. 🎹😊
@@TCBees73 Tyros keyboards are not sold in Japan, so if I have the chance, I would definitely like to try them out. 🎹😊
Great! Thanks!. Gonna get it.
Thank you so much !!
The sounds on the video are o.k. but on a band-PA?? When you have guitar and bass?
I still haven’t seen a ck88 in the stores. I hope the keybed feel is better than the modx
Very good video 👍
Thank you so much !!☺
Hello sir, I'm originally a guitarist and just starting to produce my own music.
Entre este CK61 e o MODX6 qual o melhor?
Obrigado pelo vídeo
I once had a MODX6. I will share my experience with you.
If it's OK to create simple sounds using effects, the CK61 is fine, but if you want to make sounds more elaborately or if you like the sound, the MODX6 is better.
The advantages of the CK61 are its compactness, built-in speaker, and good keyboard structure. If I had one complaint with the MODX, it was the keyboard structure, which was hard to control.
Thanks for your comment!☺
Excuse me, does this piano have a jazzdrum sound?
This keyboard: CK61 does not have a built-in jazz drum sound. Personally, I would have liked to have included drum sounds. . .
Does it has sustain button ( sustain without pedal)?
CK61 does not have a sustain button. It looks like I'll have to use a sustain pedal...
@@pf_masa montage in white is quite good looking though✌️
Le U1 est juste réaliste !
Thank you for your comment! ! I think so too☺
Eso son todos los sonidos que tiene?
Yes, everything♪
very anime style sounds :D
How does the keybed on the 61 feel to you? Good? Acceptable? Thanks!
In my opinion, the CK61's keyboard touch is very good🎹 Thank you !!
@@pf_masa Cool! Thank you! And thank you for the great demo of the sounds 👍🙂🎹
Show. Top. Brasil.
There's no drum kits?
You're right, CK61 doesn't have kits for drum sounds. Personally, I wish it had a drum sound.
Very unfortunate, I wish this year Yamaha would released an upgrade version of the MX88 that was 5 years old but getting this instead.
What lead voice can play mono? Or just poly?
Lead voices such as Mono Lead are preset in mono. Modifications to poly are also possible.
is there anything different between the 78RD and 78RD studio? i personally cant hear a difference
It's 73Rd Studio, not 78RD Studio. I feel that the sound of 73Rd Studio has a stronger attack bell than 78Rd.
Quisiera saber si este teclado trae ritmos ó acompañamiento para tocar uno solo
Thank you for your question. The CK61 has no rhythm or accompaniment, and no drum sounds. This is something to be aware of when using this instrument.

Yamaha have ALWAYS been weak on the choir sounds and this video proves my point.
I share this information with you.☺

@@pf_masa Oh cool. I am after this board and already have the MTM iLouds. They are terrific speakers, as well as this keyboard. Great playing and thanks so much for the sound tutorial
Which one is better compare to Korg krome ex?
krome ex has a large display, a tones of your choice, if you want drum sounds/drum tracks (rhythm machine function) (CK does not have drum sounds), an arpeggio function, and a 16-track sequencer. If there are certain things you desire, it may be a good idea to choose them.
I prefer CK's tone, and I also like CK's keyboard structure.
También si el pedal del volumen viene con el teclado o se compra por separado
The CK61 does not come with a volume pedal, so if you need one, you will need to purchase one separately (FC7).

This vs casio pxs 3100 in terms out sound?
How about transition sound? Is it showing smooth transition?
It would be helpful if you could tell me a little more about what you mean by "transition sound".☺
@@pf_masa i mean its likes while we change a sound to another sounds, how about the transition sir? Is it likes korg kronos?
Korg kronos have smooth transition fiture, so when we change previous sound, the last sound still have little sound when we have change another sound.
With the CK61, if you keep pressing the keyboard even if you change the tone, the previous tone will remain. However, the effect turns into a changed effect! I think this is exactly where the CK61 should be improved. I don't think it's NG if the effect changes even though the tone is preserved.
@@pf_masa what is NG sir?
