    I simply can't say enough about what you've done here...I ordered the CK88 2 days ago and not being a keyboard player (I've played piano all my life) I am nervous about navigating my way around this instrument. Your focus on the buttons has taken some of the mystery away from this thing and your playing has inspired me to be the best I can be. Please make more of these videos to help musicians like me! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

      Thanks for your comment! I think the CK series is one of the easiest electronic musical instruments to operate. It's great to be able to see all the actions of selecting tones, mixing, and applying effects on the panel ☺ As you suggested, I will continue to upload videos of the CK series. thank you!!!

      witizh, coming from a grand piano I don't think you can go wrong with a Yamaha keyboard, especially a fairly high-end one like this. Yamaha ALWAYS focuses first on the acoustic piano sounds, and they are always brilliant at that. I've been playing a Yamaha S80 "synth" for many years, and the piano patches are always spot-on.

    Very nice long dinner music video. Like the Roland V-Combo VR-09B, and great performance stage piano/keyboard. Almost like a full sized Reface CP, with more voice tones.
    But for the bread and butter sounds, the CT-S1/CT-500/CT-1000V and Yamaha Auto Arranger counterparts, you can have about as good voice tones as this.

      Thank you! If you could explain your question in more detail, it would be helpful to me.
      For example, the CK61 has a function that allows you to keep the sound you are playing and then change the tone, without changing the tone immediately, but the tone will change from the next time you play. Thanks so much for this great and very thorough demo! I really, really wish they had included the Rd1 sound from the Reface CP - to my ear it is so much better than the rhodes sounds they did include! @altair7001 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Big deception here also. For me, it IS a deal breaker. Considering the endless variations of other sounds featured on this keyboard, the electric pianos are badly under-represented.☹ All the piano sounds from the reface should have been there at a bare minimum, and then complemented with many more variations.

    • @EMDEEW
      @EMDEEW ปีที่แล้ว

      @@altair7001How do the rd1 and the 78rd differ? Is the difference THAT big?
      Danmn I just bought a ck88 last night, it will be delivered tomorrow - and I completely assumed that they had put in the Rd1. Feel kind of deceived, as so many people and reviewers say the ck88/ck61 are perfect instruments that deliver insane value for the price.

    • @altair7001
      @altair7001 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EMDEEW There is a big difference between both sounds. The Rd1 is darker like the old worn out pianos of the early 70's and fits well for jazz and vintage rock pieces. The Rd2 has the sound of a modern piano. Both are absolutely necessary in a Stage Piano IMHO.
      I wonder if Yamaha plans to update the firmware at some point to add the missing sounds. On their web site, there's no download for the CK. Someone should contact them & ask.

Do you recommend this keyboard for the sounds and features it has? I'm not planning to perform live with it so I don't really care about the keybed as I can edit parameters inside DAW, but I've also considered a PSR or a MODX for articulation voices but they're above my budget. But maybe you could tell me what sounds the Juno keyboard has that you're gonna compare this Yamaha keyboard to. Yes, I'll see the video, but what applause sound am I gonna hear from the Juno? Cheering crowd? Studio audience? Like my Nord stage three keyboard. Would like a heads up before I watch the video. I'm also wondering if the Juno has the hits. Orchestra hits, mix hits, like most game show themes today use. I also don't want that Juno applause sound to scare me, thus I asked the question. If the Juno has the applause sound, what noise is it gonna be? Is it a cheering crowd like a theater type audience? Or is it just regular applause like my Nord stage three keyboard? I used to own my Yamaha montage, and that had a very well produced cheering crowd. Despite being a sound. Gave it up a year ago for Nord stage three, and that sound is even more well produced than the Yamaha. Nord keyboards have all types of hit. Sounds that help me out in making up my game show theme production. When answering my question for the Juno, maybe you can tell me in greater detail what sound it is so I can hear it in the video. The Nord stage three applause sound I have is just regular studio audience applauding on a game show setting. True versions of it exist.
