I just realized something; each of the Paldean E4's personalities are based on the four temperaments.
Rika is sanguine (pleasant, easygoing, laid-back)
Poppy is choleric (ambitious, passionate, excitable)
Larry is phlegmatic (permissive, relaxed, quiet)
and Hassel is melancholic (thoughtful, poetic, artistic)

the Paldean E4 are really funny, like we have
- Androgynous girlboss that has everyone questioning their sexuality and/or gender in the best ways possible
- A literal child
- Just a guy working two jobs
- Emotional and silly art teacher from a family of dragon tamers
to top it all off, the way they interact gives off some kind of weird but very much present family dynamic and i love that for them.
Thought Rika was a man but oh well I'm a bi person anyways

the games in general are good but is overshadowed by the amount of bugs and glitches it has sadly
@@Nytrusdeathcyde I’ll admit, it has more than its fair share of issues. However, I will say the storyline and characters are absolutely incredible. I’m holding out hope that since the company has seen how much bad publicity the game has been getting because of said issues, they will eventually fix it. But we all know that’s a tall order that might not happen

One of the buggiest, least polished games I've played in years. An absolute tragedy. An example of the disastrous work cycle of the video game industry right now.
Some of the most fun I've had in a video game since Persona 5 Royal. Better than Sword and Shield in almost every way.
I'm pretty sure you're the majority. They'll mostly disagree in the optimisation department, but I'm pretty sure many agree that its story is at least a great step in the right direction! Though some design choices in pokemon and removal of a lot of outfit customisation is a grievance many have as well...
I don't think that's an unpopular opinion, the game has its problems function wise but I think everything else is spot on, I have no lingering "it could have been better" feelings unlike xy and swsh where those feelings were felt fully by the end of the games lol

To my shock, it became my favorite Pokémon game by the end, just ahead of ORAS. Definitely helps that I barely encountered any bugs myself and that I played nearly blind. Lol.
I love that the elite four straight up uses the trumpet riff from the Final Fantasy 4 battle theme. It's hilarious.
i dont care what people say about modern pokemon the one thing we can ask agree on is that game freak never fails to make an amazing soundtrack no matter how bad the actal game may be and this remix just makes it even more amazing
An Elite 4 that you're forced to fight in a specific order in an open world Pokémon game is funny to me. And I missed that. It makes it feel more like a gauntlet, which makes the Elite 4 much more intense.
Elite 4 is my favourite part of Pokémon games and tbh I'm really glad they returned to the gauntlet style, and they played it really well by having rika do the interview and be the 1st battle! Just a shame that they were all fought in the same room/a room that imo looked like it was going to be lit up in different ways for each battle. Which is why tbh I think this is a meh-tier set of Elite Four despite the strengths of character

The version that's in the game is amazing by itself already but this remix really just added some 'spice' to it. When listening to the original I always felt there was something missing... some sort of … something... And this seems to be it! Awesome remix!

I had that weird sound bug and was wondering why the music is so bad. I restarted the game and thanks God I did this
Without knowing all the bugs (Of which I personally only experienced 2 lighting and cripple lag.) This is now my favorite version since GBC Crystal Version. I liked every single main character fully and even found myself invested in their backstory. Unfortunately it is truly tragic the wasted potential. Its like if you had the chance to cure cancer but went out partying the night before and suffered a concussion level wasted potential. (I have emulated all games but something about this I felt drawn.) I am a poke casual but unfortunately this game man hit the feels. (I was an B+ student too I would have been a+ if didn't fail math and history 2 and 3 times each.)

It’s still baffling how there’s a child elite four member
Considering how many kids play these games it only makes sense, if real life kids can become champions no reason there can't be a child champion in game. She is as old as my little sister was when I got her to play her first game.

Opinions on everyone:
Rika: cool. A little bland but not a terrible character. Her designs simple and that works in her favor, but that’s about it. I like that she has a clodsire I guess.
Poppy: basically the “young innocent child that’s actually overpowered as hell” trope. A little generic for that reason, wished she specialized in Dark types rather then Steel types, I feel like that could’ve been more interesting, though maybe that’s even more generic and predictable. Whatever she’s alright.
Larry: haven’t played Pokémon in a WHILE, but I like this idea and I think it’s a first? The idea that a gym leader would also be an Elite 4 is pretty cool. And I like Larry in general, so he’s probably my favorite.
Hassle: oh boy, another dragon tamer. Annnnd he’s cool. Like how emotional he gets over losing, the way he’s just that impressed by us. It’s nice.
Overall a pretty decent Elite 4. While I wish they could be a little more extreme in their designs (except for Larry, he’s good as he is.) that’s really the biggest criticism I have.

When I saw Poppy I thought she would be a ghost trainer considering how her clothes seem to have the Drifloon X on them

The E4 in this game may have lacked the identity that previous E4 members have had, but I think that made them more fun. Especially Larry making a return. Also, some of these battles were surprisingly pretty tough.

The first time I heard this theme I was directly remembering the grandmaster theme in Pokemon TCG. Some parts in this theme sounds more or less similar.
Wait, I never heard this! For me it was just the first bit on loop, which really added to the tension of the fight.
That was a glitch that got patched out with the 1.1 update, which went live December 1st. If you battled the elite four before then, it did the intro loop glitch.

My boi Larry out here working. I liked the detail that the elite 4 specialize in the same types of thw Titans, Ground, Steel, Flying and Dragon. Was expecting the Champ to have Rock types but god she was underwhelming

Mother is chairman/ceo of pokemon league. Over works her gym leaders and has a staffing problem, so has her husband hold 2 positions and gives her youngest child an elite 4 status and strong pokemon to use. Isn't battle savvy otherwise she'd swap kingambit and the rock poison ones positions in battle to utilize them properly. Has her family placed in all elite 4 positions to maintain full control of league, and once defeat gives people a status while she still keeps the position............ most certainly a unique league.

Fun Fact: Only four pokemon types haven't been used for the Elite Four. Those being Normal, Grass, Electric, and Fairy. Of the types that have been used: Steel has been used the most for Elite Four Members followed by Ground and Flying (And I think another one that I can't think of right now)

One of the most casual leagues with the elite entering the room, makes me really miss Kalos and Alola extravaganza, but I like that they introduced them little by little through the game.

the anime continuity is different from the games. Classes like preschooler and youngster show that if a kid is coherent enough, they can be a trainer.
That was never a rule in the games, just something that was made up in the Anime, there's literally a class of trainers in the games called preschoolers

Makes me kinda sad that I’m skipping out on this generation, but at least the music is just as amazing as ever for Pokémon! It feels really reminiscent of older themes, mainly the Gen 4 Elite battle theme
A lot of the really good new ones, like the one for the Ruinous Quartet, use some older soundfonts, while still keeping it new. They really did great with the music in this game. I can respect you skipping out on it. I planned on skipping out, but I heard the actual gameplay (when it worked) was really good. I think the statement is pretty accurate. Way better than SwSh.

obviously your choice, but i recommend getting the games after all the patches and dlcs. they are a very good step up for the franchise but are unfortunately half-baked (pokemon development cycles are notoriously bad). i think SV has the potential to be one of the best after they fix everything + DLC. that is if you can afford it of course, completely understandable if you cant

I felt Sw/Sh was a waste of my money and I didn’t want to risk the same mistake again, and I’d rather spend my money on franchises like LoZ where the games are actually finished and not mostly rushed lol I’ve been watching people play S/V so I haven’t been missing out too much

Maybe its just me but I wasn't fan of this elite four at all. (Probably be little to harsh, I will point out its interesting seeing a five year old being among them.) I haven't finished up the post game so many my opinion may change.
In my opinion, the game was so disapointing compared to some previous Gen (At least there's the awesome 4 elite members, plus Arven, Penny, Nemona and Team Star's amazing backstories to save it up). And in my current eyes, nothing beats Arceus games...
At least it's way better than Swsh's when it comes to characters, plot, story and gameplay. But not so much for the handling of the game's optimization and graphics, which is sad tbh, nonetheless it's a good game.
I'd say that Sm (mainly)/UsUm and Sv are on par with the best games when it comes in good story and plot, top being Bw/Bw2.
Also... Yes I agree, Legends Arceus does better in difficulty, animation and gameplay, but not so much in story, plot and graphics compared to Sv.
