This is probably the most well-made tutorial I have seen. Taking pauses and showing the dimensions is really helpful. Just did this to light up my medieval harbor.
Been using multiple people for different building tutorials and I have to say that you're probably the best I've come across so far. Incredibly easy to follow and you don't switch your inventory around randomly for every layer of the lighthouse. Now I've got a fantastic lighthouse to go with my ship and dock, keep up the good work!
This tutorial was simple, fun, and well made. My 7 year old built 40% of this in survival with me guiding her and doing the detailing. My ONE complaint. When you did the structure it was simple with logical stops and cuts. When you did the top with the light and roof, simple with logical stops and cuts. But when you detailed it was utter madness with me screaming in frustration. Please think of logical breaks when detailing it will make your videos more smooth. Detail the bottom 10 blocks, stop. Then the next 10 or to wherever that floor naturally breaks then stop. Don't do 6 blocks per floor then change materials, that madness had me climbing this thing 20 times only to place a stair here or a fence there. Just do it bottom to top one floor at a time please. Overall 9/10 amazing tutorial and I can't wait for more!!

Great build and easy to follow. If you're doing this in survival, do it floor by floor. Way easier to build up from, and no deaths! It means watching the video a few times, but worth it. Elytra helps too.
Amazing! My only advice would be to add some texture, for example add cracked and mossy stone bricks in some places where regular stone bricks are or add cobblestone near the bottom where stone is, like the waves have damaged the wall or something. Great work, keep it up!
Who playing minecraft 1.17,i suggest you to replace a lightning rod on top fence to avoid being struck by lightning during storms 24:30(lightning rod can be crafted by a three copper ingot)
I know this is an old video at this point but I just wanted to say what a superb job you've done with this video. The design, explanation, execution, editing. Just wonderful. I had the dumbest grin on my face when you gave the dimensions. I'm absolutely awful at figuring out heights when following these types of tutorials. And going back on your original statement and giving a block count seals the deal for me. This may very well be the best tutorial I've seen in years for building in this game (imo anyway). Halfway done building this on one of my friend's survival realms. Thank you so much for the time and care you put into this!
After watching minecraft tutorials for YEARS I can finally say THIS is primo. Easiest thing I've replicated, and only because of this video! You made it so easy, and I was able to show it off in my realm.

***UPDATE*** iT'S BEEN AN ENTIRE MONTH!! I have now collected enough redstone for the top of the lighthouse and that brings me to 17:50 (I'll record the end results) Spent two days making the BASE for the build LOL Then spent 2 days building the tower itself. Its the end of day 3. It's been a week since I started this and I have reached up to starting the laterns. Ive been focusing on stone and wood soo much I haven bothered with iron. So I'm going to spend next couple days on iron. :) I'll keep yall updated. Okay its been a couple hours well the laterns was alot easier than I thought. Finding redstone is a bit more tricky... Except for the roof because I don't have redstone yet, I have finished the interior and the tower itself.
I've gotten really good at structural building but these videos continue to teach me new ways of texturing and detail that I wouldn't have thought of :)

Thanks for the tutorial! I made it in my survival multiplayer world with my friends but I made changes to it to make it a bit unique. I also added the new way of making a bulb to the top of the lighthouse.
Half way done and style perfectly fits my medieval castle which is on the hill next to it. Once finished it will look perfect. Thank you so much. I will probably replace lanterns with campfire because I want smoke and few lights below it and around it. I mainly want smoke instead of light so this is actually a perfect design.
Me- (sees the video is 30 minutes long) Me- Wow! This should be quick and easy. (2 hours later) Well... that took longer than I thought! This is a good tutorial it was super easy though long but that is expected!

My partner and I just built this in our survival world and it fit so perfectly. With the mountains/caves update, this looks perfect right on a highpoint next to a big lake, that's what we ended up doing.
Lovely easy to follow tutorial. The only thing that would make it easier would be an inventory list of all the materials needed at the start, but I understand how that is hard to do!
Great lighthouse, that has to be said, but what a survival unfriendly tutorial! For survivors: first watch the whole video before you start building, it will save you a lot of time and effort knowing a few things in advance.

Great build! I did this in survival. Watch the entire video first and do the floors first middle column and floor first XD... and have an abundant amount of scaffolding to work on the exterior.
