There is not mention it night time so if is day time no problem of light so at first A and B will of in 2min than C and D will go in 10 min total time 2+10 =12 min is the minimum time for it

If A can see in darkness then why will he go to bring torch he will hold the hand of B and lead him there is no need to spend extra 2 min for torch hence according to you 12 must be correct answer
