What hurts the most is when you become an average student from being a topper. when everyone has high expectations but you are not living upto it, it just makes you feel like a disappointment.
thats me right now. i placed 3rd in the whole block of our school and they expected more from me. i placed 7 this time because its exhausting for us, after all im just a child of 13 yrs old.

This is so relatable. If you get good marks, everyone talks behind your back saying that you're a nerd and have no chill, but if u score average, you get compared to the person who gets good marks. This isn't the problem with students, its the society
What people say about topper:- how could she/he score well Only the topper knows the thing (pressure.disatisfaction, sacrifice, parents expectations etc)
In 11th, I started a failure and merely passed. But later in 12th I almost dethroned the topper of my class. He still won (and I am happy for him). I was second. My determination to be above him carried me throughout the year. But why was I determined to do so? Because he was my own brother and I was kinda jealous of him, but also he was my inspiration.
Only toppers really i am average student i don't face any these problems in study because average marks is ok for me but how do you feel when broke someone teeth or rib cage how does it will feel being a 2 time national gold medalist in boxing in our sports if you have to win you have to kill i broke more than 6 people rib cage most of them are now cant even properly walk it's hunt me daily
The biggest nightmare for toppers is when they start failing after class 11, after having raised everyone's expectations. So, to my juniors below class 10, please don't aim to be at the top; being average can be helpful later on.
But My parents expect me to be the topper.......... As I had raised there expectations........... My teacher's expectations....,.... It's really being so hard and in this era full of distractions...... It's really very tough.....
@@shivanshi_rai Know your self worth and don't listen to others...If you know that you are capable of getting 85%,then give your 100% and aim for more than 85%...Others will say that you should get more than 95%... Don't listen to them Listen to yourself and have faith in God
being topper is all funs and games until it becomes a part of your personality and gradually you start living for academic validation only. you set everyone's expectation too high and they start expecting something out of you and you have to live up to that reputation and its exhausting!!
The thing that really touched my heart was when she said "If we say we studied they consider us oversmart and if we genuinely say I didn't study,we are considered liars" ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ And deep in everyone's heart ,we all enjoy breaks and social media
I always been a topper in my class from primary school to middle school in lower secondary but going down to an average student when I was in upper secondary because I realize that being a topper isn't the kind of person I want to be but instead want to be a person who always been chilling around like nothing happened to me.. The reason why I'm down to being average student is because being a topper feel like living in hell like you're actually working hard for others such as to achieve our parents high expectation when we actually had own limit in life.. Also its feel like you become a slave for others living and expectation.. So that why I stopped myself of becoming topper for three years until I nearly sit for O level Exam.. I even told my parents that I don't want to be a topper anymore because it hurt me physically and mentally after what happened to me the last 4 month.. Luckily both of my parents were understanding of my life and even stop pressuring me and even let me do whatever I want with my life for being an average student in my class.. I even told them that every child every person had a different dream, passion and the way of they're thinking right now.. We cannot force or put too much pressure on someone else that over their limit just for the sake of your own wants in life..
I can't explain how much relatable it is..i used to be the topper all the time..and suddenly a day came when i started to loose interest and felt depressed and suffered from anxiety,it just felt like being a topper is my only recognition and there's nothing left in my life.and no body understands the pressure of being at top all the time...
I am kinda losing interest in studies because of all these expectations i feel suffocated and like i need to become a topper no matter what if i won’t be the topper no one would even recognise me and the fact that u have been coming first from years and then suddenly your ranks are low the amount of people that are gonna tease u feeling depressed is also another thing it’s like our life is only about being a topper and studying we want to enjoy life too but we don’t get to and that’s the society’s problem cause they won’t ever see how much marks and ranks are important to us I am sorry it’s too long it’s just u were very relatable and i had to share my pain with someone so thank you for reading 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 I hope our lives become better😢😢😢😢
Yes .....Me too face this same problem. It's like .... people around me does consider me as a machine build for studying. Not as a human being with strengths and limitations..
Yes I understand how this feels..but the most important thing is to truly know and recognise what's your bottom most feeling and what's your inner talent..and u have to keep working hard to achieve it..at the end you will feel proud of yourself for facing these situations and still recognising the best self of yours..trying to calm ourselves and thinking peacefully will truly help a lot..
@@kavyakonduru9314 yeah ....and the sad thing is ...the teachers. sometimes I feel they don't care about inner talents 😕....all they care about scoring high marks .
Seriously. The worst thing about being a topper, is the high expectations + the friends who are only friends for the academic help. No one really understands you. It's like you are meant to not enjoy. Edit - I completed my 10th boards this year and scored 93% and am 4th in my school. Thought this would make me happy but nah. Ek din ke happiness ke liye pura year I never enjoyed. Now I am preparing for CLAT something I really am passionate about, but it took a lot of convincing.
They often behave as if you dont know about this world they say like book kei bahar bhi duniya but reality is you are trying to hide yourself from them just opening the book in front of them doesn't mean you are studying you are trying to escape usse bhi jyada jab teachers compare to answer nhi kar sakte ptm mei kyunki parents bolte hain compare mat Karo but puchte look jarur denge agar kisse sei kam aa gaye
High expectations oh godddd and i literally thought some of them were my real friends but they just needed notes and again during lunch time I was left alone like how can they even act like that😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Its not just toppers who face this. Its the students that study good. They also face all these "padhaku, no chill, oversmart comments". On top of that there is external pressure on them where they are compared with other toppers. This load of expectations and pressure with the discrimination from friends, is what makes us sad :(
Most relatable comment….I have always been a 3rd or 4th rank holder in my class…and trust me I had immense pressure on me and was always compared to the first rank holder..even the teachers said “sky is the limit”, work more hard,,you can do it…ahhhh
This is the relatable content i have ever seen. I was a topper till my 10th. My parents used to get mad if i get anything less than 100% , ofc they won't actually scold me but you know the disappointment in their face. I was never happy with my marks even when i topped. I used to look at my frnds seeing them so happy if they just passed, and their parents saying that they are proud of them. I used to yearn for all that. My classmates always leave me alone from fun things, and i used to pretend i didnt care, but it hurt so bad. This marks have become so toxic to me that i used weigh my marks with the things i deserve. Like if i scores less then i would eat less and i would hurt myself more. After 10th, when i got 100%, my parents reaction was, oh i knew you would get it anyway. No congrats, no encouraging words, no proud of you and seeing my friend's parents throwing parties for their kid for just passing, broke me so much. I started to question my life . I finally got out of this toxicity and i am no longer a topper and i am happy with my marks. I know my potential and so do my real friends i dont need academic validation anymore. I am happy that now i am studying for knowledge rather than marks. Sending hugs and a lots of love for all the people who feel this way. You are not alone and i am proud of you❤
Being a topper REALLY HURTS SOOOOO MUCH, but atleast my mother is suportive , but i want to see a smile on her face thats why i studied day and night , study 8hrs constistently for 15 days taking leave for school , finaly got national rank in olympiad and WON a tablet
Things that can only be felt by a topper ....!! 1.Over expectations of others 2.Anxitey to score good marks or grade 3.Fear of failure 4.Self doubt 5.Severe competition 6.Jealousy of others towards them 7.Not having a true friend 8.Being honest but still getting tagged as a liar And what not man like we suffer whole day due to many such reasons and people think that being a topper is uncool or boring and being a backbencher is the best thing.😢As a topper I can say that I really loved this video the fact that it's so relatable ..all thanks to filter copy !!! OMG !!😱! I never got these many likes !!! I am so happy, thanks to everyone who liked my comment !!☺️💓

The worst moment for a topper is when you study whole day, go through 2 different books per chapter and per subject, revise again and again, practice other model papers, sacrifice your sleep, skip meals due to 8 tutions yet you somehow lose 2-3 marks.. That hurts. That really does.
Exactly like how a backbencher would feel when they lose the just-pass mark by 1 or 2 marks. For backbenchers, there is nothing to lose. Like everyone would appreciate them, if they managed to score just pass mark. But for us all our hard work would become useless. But still I believe being a topper is cool cuz it's easy for anyone to score less. They dont need do to anything to score less. But to score high lot's of hardwork and sacrifices are necessary. So we are a soldier! But it's make me sad that people always make fun of us like " the most toppers fail in their life by aquiring workaholic boring job while backbenchers outshine. We need to prove them that they are wrong by achieving our dreams. Fighting ✊
@@tanniesmybesties8695 It's even more painful to see some teachers making fun of toppers by telling toppers get boring jobs, while backbenchers are the the ones who really succeed in life. You've put in so much hardwork, and yet a teacher says this to you, it damn hurts.
@@ChidwilasaStoryWorldbecause it's the sad truth of reality at the end of the day. It is indeed backbenchers that ends up ruling major professional worlds because they are quick witted, smart and can deal with failure without having mental breakdowns. Their failures only make them stronger and more resilient as individuals once they are in the harsh survival game of outside world. I think as toppers it's necessary for us to accept the fact that no matter how hard we work there will be a few setbacks and that's ok.
@@SwarnaliBhattacharya9then the teachers shouldn't discourage the toppers, instead encourage to take it easy and enjoy life instead of putting them down to make the lazy back benchers feel happy. Toppers deserve a good life way better than the back benchers, cuz they actually care and work hard even at a young age. They need to be told that their happiness matters more than their success and that they don't always need to score the highest to be appreciated
@@Ariadne4 that's true. teachers should be taking some of the pressure off the toppers and urge them to take care of themselves and accept their mistakes because it's completely humane to face setbacks in life. but teachers don't always put down the toppers they constantly compare and mock the backbenchers too. and i don't think backbenchers are lazy or that they don't put in efforts. it's just that they do it last minute and are generally less tensed than toppers. hence it's easier for them to accept and eventually win over their mistakes rather than feeling dejected about it. and this trait proves to be essential later in life. all my backbencher friends are doing well in college currently and so are the toppers. after a point we all become equals and it really doesn't matter
Being a topper is not that hard..but maintaining the position is way harder ..... but this sentence " agar bolde sab kuch aata hain to =overconfident aur genuinely bol de kuch nhi padha to jhoote" is soo trueeee 👏👏

Her monologue was so damn touching ! I was able to relate with it very much. Everyone has made this word 'Topper' an identity card for a person who just is trying to excel in studies and is making effort to make his/her parents proud. Everyone has forgotten that toppers are humans too , just like them ! Toppers do have a heart and they too want parties , vacations and fun time. Don't judge us by our high scores , we too are like you - childish and innocent .
not being invited to parties and birthdays hits so hard being called overdramatic for crying over the marks I lose is so normal, but no one understands that for thay every mark I have lost my sleep and friends and all the fun
They don't understand what family pressure is ... When all other's of my age are playing cricket , at that time I am studying in the dark room . The way the family upbraids for scoring less is the only thing that hits the core 😢
Even without 100% you can survive. Unless and untill you have made your dream to achieve greater success in competitive exams and get admission in very very very good University, prioritising 100% and losing your sanity over small mistakes is not worth it. Live your life, there are better things to do than just studying day and night. People have achieved so much more without bringing 100% aswell. So you should change your priorities if you want to enjoy with friends.
Topper hone ka mtlb school ya college me top karna nhi hota hai asli topper vo hota hai jo life ki har exam me ache se javab se or aise toppers ka future secure hota hai
Schooltime is like being in a bubble. You are altogether engaged in all sorts of activities and everyday after school is spent in preparing for another day in school like assignments, projects, homework etc. scoring good grades seems to be the happiest day and when you score low, you feel like a failure. I remember when I got bad grades in half yearly in 4th class, I was stressed out and wanted to perform better and then i became more attentive and started getting good marks. Now after passing school, preparing for competitive exams.
Being a topper it hits hard when you feel burnt out....then you lose interest in everything, life feels empty , study falls apart and you feel disappointed at being looser. Edit: damn this got so many likes 😭 hugs to all my fellas who has went through this or now going through this , you will be fine , we will be fine🫂💓

It hurts like hell, when you were a topper all the time but suddenly due to a small difference between marks, someone else got your position and you couldn't rank top.... It's not about being jealous. It's about the expectations from your teachers, parents, relatives and all. Even your friends will start to make fun of you. Above all, you'll be disappointed about yourself! You'll cry, you'll be stressed! All the things that I've written was my own experience, which I had today because I couldn't rank top this time. When I saw the report card.....oh God that moment, I just hate it... I was behaving like a freak man!! because only a topper knows that how hard it is to study the whole day, whole night and of course even one mark....just one mark means a lot for us!! and not going to lie by telling I'll do my best next time and I'm super motivated bla bla. It'll take some time to come out from this trauma.. Guys, sometimes being an average student, is a blessing. Don't ever be sad about it.... Bless you all !

Finally someone made this type of video...i always used to see other videos like videos for backbenchers and middle benchers but never seen such a video which shows how the life of a topper actually is...really loved it💞🦋
I got 97% and my mom asked where did the 3% go. I lost a best friend because she was jealous of my grades. People ask me for work and notes CONTINUOUSLY I even stay with them during free periods to teach them and once when I was sick and couldn't attend school, no one sent me the work. I asked 10 people. No one replied. Especially when you don't get your parents' appreciation because you lost 2 marks.. that hurts. I remember crying over 95, and the students around me started calling me names. They don't realize how much our parents will tell us that we could do better and ask where did those 5 marks go? I pulled all nighters continuously, got 97, was proud of the grade. But my mom asked why not 100? I seriously wish sometimes that I wasn't a topper and that I didn't have such strict parents. Seeing everyone have fun without you, and eventually they stop asking you to come. My phone gets taken away at anything below 95 like bfr..and if someone studies night after night, of course they're going to be sad about losing even half a mark. Being a topper sucks.
When you're going to be a parent, then don't be like your parents. You can't change your parents but you can change yourself when you will become one. 😊
This made me cry. It reminds me of my school days where I was bullied and ignored. Some people made fun of my weight, and others ignored me every time and made fun of me because I always studied during the breaks too. And then when I scored even above 90 percent, some used to tell me, 'Itni der padhayi karke sirf itne laaye...' I used to cry a lot. I used to give them notes, teach them, but still, they ignored me. After school, when I met the same people, they asked me, 'Oh, she studied with us? I thought she went from school after 10th. I didn't know she existed...' The same people I helped said these words to me. I hate my school life. Whenever I think of it, my eyes are filled with tears.
Yeah true it's like Your existence doesn't matter to them until and unless there is an assignment, project, exam etc These PPL will be the first to ask you for these things but won't even bother asking you out for say outside lunch or dinner
@@Shark_-rx1xu It's better to be alone instead of staying with those so called arrogrnts they just say those horrible words so that we could snap at them. But if we became rational and keep our emotions in check then no matter what horrible things they say it would not effect us.
The saddest part is that....the topper of one's class is now jobless and preparing for some random government exams and the backbenchers have started earning or acquiring profession.....this is the time when we think if we haven't been a topper...life would have been even more nice
Umm, I was an average student until I scored 40 out of 40 in science 7th class and got a name "topper"😊.. I was very happy until my parents told me that "marks can't describe your future we will see your marks in class 10th"... *Every student DON'T want parents advice. just we all want to hear "we are proud of you"* The day I got 40/40 I expect a lot from my Parents to hear! 😢
It just made me tear up The line ke hum agr bol de ki sab kuch aata hai toh oversmart or genuinely bol de ki kuch nhi aata toh jhoothe Jo pura din sirf padhai kerta hai uske liye ek kya aadha marks bhi matter kerta hai 😢
Yes but in my prelims my 13 marks was cutted than I talk to mam the she say that "arrey result bangaya hai " Mera dimag itna phata tha tab Aisa laga ke ye teacher ko kya bolu mein .😅
It is true, as you guys are always studying, you don't have good social skills. I was the same guy like you but I changed cuz marks will not matter for me rn unless it's 10th
Yeah like a 24 hours studying machine? May you find it hard to socialize becuz you have social anxiety or couldn't find someone to vibe with you. Yk i also found it extremely hard to socialize not becuz I'm a topper but becuz of social anxiety after corona it became even worse. But now I'm doing good. Dont worry manh , you'll will gradually overcome it! And will able to meet people who will value as a friend rather than a thing they use when need. Let me give simple tip to destroy your loneliness? It's to befriend yourself! Nowadays its extremely difficult to find a true friend who honestly wants see us in the better condition. We can 100% trust ourselves cuz none of us would think of attacking us from our back.
@moveahead123manh it's very easy to say go out and make friends. You dont know how much I struggle with my life because of my anxiety.I always tried to make friends but most of them consider me as a thing they use when they need .They only talk to me about studies .Some used to consider me as their part time friend. My life had changed a lot when I started to love and befriend myself. Now I dont feel lonely. Also now I get to meet many great personalities but still I always keep a distance. We both are living different life, we faced different things, we have different perspectives about life, what make you happy may not make me happy and vice versa. Most importantly we both even dont know each other so what's the point of judging each others? And about the money thing. I'm from a middle class family. My parents and teachers used to adviced me to move on to Engineering Or Medical field. But I'm interested in research field. I'm just curious about Science. Making money is important but that's not my dream. I want to change the world. I want to make the world a better place to live.
to be really honest, its not the problem with every topper. i dont try hard to socialize with people and i people really talk to me well. i used to be a point of attraction in my class (not because of my studies but because of my jolly behaviour). har topper serious nhi hota
This gave me anxiety at the beginning. So relatable. It's even worse when you like someone and that person calls you or texts you just to ask notes...as if we don't have any individuality.
Bro too relatable. People contact me only for doubts😢. They speak openly abt their prblms and stress and I understand them validate them but no one ever tries to listen to me.🙂

FINALLY!!! Finally, someone showed why are we behind the marks, it's soo frustrating to be called nerd, padhaaku, teacher's tail, and when you score one mark lesser than someone, they are going to mock you, calling you a loser. We're always called annoying because of number of questions we ask or times when we fight to increase one mark, and that we don't know how amazing a backbencher's school life is, but no one wants to understand why we are becoming annoying, why do we never get to enjoy school life's real fun!
@newaccount-cz6tb No one wants to be like Chatur, but have ever given a thought why are people like that?! Since childhood if someone is good at studies, behaves nicely, they get appreciated by parents and teachers, and getting such appreciation, such approval, slowly turns into their habits. They grow up with the habit of winning, and when they reach certain age, students start calling their nature uncool, unfriendly, teacher's tail, etc., and what not. No one wants to be unlikable, but their interest in studies is called nerdy and boring behavior. And if in any case, they score less, or break the code of discipline, they're told 'this wasn't expected from you', but for backbenchers, even teachers accept their rebel behavior. Everyone wants to us to get changed, no one is ready to accept us as it is.
@@Maahie-vz7lc I think they mock at us because they know they cannot be like us and by making fun of us they try to feel like equals .. it's not that I am saying not everyone can become a topper it's for students who are actually very mean
it's really painful to see so many people still having high expectations from you because you used to a topper or a good student but now just an average. you're not able to live upto their expectations no matter how hard you try. they feel disappointed every time you fail to meet their expectations but they don't give up, neither do they necessarily encourage. and this just turns into a vicious cycle and it's truly exhausting.
I hope you're doing ok! I relate to you very much I used to thrive in school before Covid but now i am average and sometimes below average. Just remember you're not doing all of this hardwork to please other people but you're doing it for your own good and future! Parents want the best for you, now I don't know how your parents are and I don't want to assume they are understanding like mine are. I wish you best for your future!
I really am going through same situation and don't know what to do to match my parents expectations . I scored 89% in 10th and just now I gave my 11th finals . I was also a topper before covid but now its so hard . I just don't have faith in myself after I face my first failure by failing first time in my accountancy exam in half yearly .
This is so so relatable 😭💔. As a topper myself, this is what I go through every year. The amount of loneliness a topper feels is unimaginable. Akelepan me jeena Hota hain humkoo💔😭
This is the harsh reality for thousands of students. We are defined by our marks. No one sees anything else other than our marks. Just like everyone else, we also want to party, relax, and go on social media. But we are constantly told to study and join tuitions. I can understand how this girl feels as my life is exactly like hers. Other students who don't have strict parents like hers will never understand the hurt or the disappointment we get from our parents when we come home with lower than 90% marks.
this is exactly why being topper is never my dream. until 4th grade I was topper, but uske baad ek exam mein kharab aaya because we had shifted to india that year toh asli rang dikh gaye. I still studied well tho, 85-93 ke beech mein aa hi jaate the. but I wasnt like others 8-9 ghante din mein baithke padhna for 5 extra marks, everything I had interest in was outside the book anyways😭😭
This is very true. My classmates literally make fun of me when i say I'm struggling to study.. Its like "jhooth matt bol tujhe sab ata hai " The fact that nobody understands the struggle and pain ,instead makes fun.. Hurts
You know it also happens to me ...they used to ask me ka tumhari kitni tayari hogai ha paper ki ma kahti Thi average ha nahi achi tayari and they be like jhoot tumhari tu achi Hogi or wsy bhi tumna pass tu ho hi Jana ha ....or even sometimes they say yar hama paper ma cheating karwa dena ...tumha sab ata ha ...
I find that quite funny when people say TEREKO TOH BHAI SAB AATA HAI I just don't mind them And you shouldn't mind them too. If you are struggling to study There are alot of channels on TH-cam that can help :)
This is so true... I am a class topper and I can feel the pain. The past I have lost so many friends because they were jealous of me. I am mocked consistently and considered as a pick me, attention seeker. See I don’t study night and day just one day before the exam and when I tell them they call me a liar. Even if someone is a topper it doesn’t give you permission to call them names.
Finally a video on this topic !! This needs to be understood I was a topper till 10th.... So , I started preparing for JEE It was going good unless that one test It was my first coaching test .... I scored a Lil bit low marks but my parents always supported me and said don't take stress or tension otherwise whatever you study you will forget. So I made up the mind that I will secure good marks if I will study more hard . After 3 months of regular test every week . I finally scored good marks but my sleep schedule was gone I had exhausted my body to this point that after exam I caught fever . After 1 week of doctor's appointment and everything. I felt good and fine. But after a day I felt a sharp pain inside my stomach when I was in coaching. The coaching teachers took me to the hospital. Admitted me ... I had this infection (called h pylori) it was diagnosed at an early stage but because I took too much stress it became more worse... I was in bed for 3 weeks My 5 months got wasted . Now I am preparing online for JEE. This was my story. So please don't take so much🙏🏻 stress.especially toppers because don't have habit of failing 😞

I just read a book today saying "Once you reach the top, there's only one road to go" which is down. Once you're on the top, not only you're on a competition between your peers but also your own self. The intense pressure of fearing failure. And when you're on top , people will ask "How can you do better?" as if the achievement of being at the top is a curse not a blessing and how can you exceed your own self again.
Yess true but they used to say you are too sensitive and said about that indirectly like kuch ese hote h agr ek number bhi kut Jaye bas Rona dhona shuru and friends sàid tera to Rona hi kam h bss 😔😢
This video is highly such a relatable video. I used to study well got good scores but for me it all went with flow , but gradually I realized being a topper people always think we just don't need to study only revise things or we have more intelligence than them. But people just don't know about sleepless nights, no enjoyments, no social media etc... They think we're enjoying the process of studying. After all this hard work it hits so hard when we lose one or two mark, see it's valuable guys because for us we studied the whole week, whole year and losing some marks is a big thing and yes we know there are things apart from scoring marks in school but yes that's too important . For you people something other is important but for us that too is important. And the most important note we just don't only study for ourselves, I believe many of the toppers study for their parents. Everyday you are seeing the effort they are taking for us and you just want to make them happy and only thing you can do it study . And yes not only 12 toppers become successful in life even 12 th fail people also become successful but yes let it be that and let it be us. Please a kind note to this generation :Please do understand effort of a person becoming a topper, respect their efforts and we are too humans🤍
Being a topper hits hard when you realise you don't actually have a good friend with whom you can share your secrets or anything else...cause no one ever considered you as their freind 🙃🙃
What hurts more is that no one believes when a topper says they are in stress...its always like "oh you will get marks anyway, stop whining, blah blah-" no one understands the pressure every topper is under 🙂
@@trra7785 so what? Even if your future depends on it. Every person who has accomplished something in their fields was passionate about their work. So be passionate not a pressure cooker.
Thankyouuuu so much. You don't know how you just helped me lift up my mood. I had watched crushed season 1 and 2 and i have loved it. I am not a fan of web series or that sort of things but "crushed" was different. I loved it. I had been waiting for season 3 and due to some reasons couldn't know that it is released already. After seeing ur comment i realised and went to search only to know that season 4 has also come😂. But THANKYOU SO MUCH!! i am so happy now.❤
Being a topper myself I have faced this things. People think that we love to study but no it can be a case of some students but for me I just study to meet the expectations that the society have set. No one has ever asked me what I like or what I want to to in life. Life is pretty hard when for your parents you are just a showpiece and not to forget to talk about the feeling which we get when we cannot meet their expectations. It is hard to hear when people call you with names such as "teacher's pet, padhaku, faddu topper " And what not. Students get scolding when they don't study but we get scolding after studying almost the whole day. Life is not easy for us . Absolutely not:(
Don't study ONLY for marks Marks on a sheet of paper without understanding anything you studied is just like a car without an engine, bottle without water, pen without a refill, a book without pages. Exams are supposed to be a tool to check your knowledge, but we don't see it that way and pressurize ourselves. We tend to study only for exam sake and for marks, which is completely wrong and builds panic among us. Just imagine, you have knowledge about a chapter and suddenly a person sits beside you and asks a few questions and you answer it as you know everything about the chapter. That's what exams are! You just have to study without caring about exams because you already studied it for knowledge and exams are just something try to test your knowledge, nothing else!
@@NarutoUzumaki-jh4glthat’s true but in our society marks matter and the amount of tension and expectation and stress toppers have is just too much we surely understand things but we need to show it by scoring good marks not good we need to become the best
Same for me nobody cares about what i like they just see our marks and those names hurt really much then getting scolded after studying so much we think that we are a disappointment life is absolutely not easy for us even making friends is hard for us and yes we do not love to study we also like social media and sports but the society will never understand us 😢😢😢😢😢😢 They say not to take stress but they should realise they shouldn’t give us so much stress 😢😢😢😢
@@MyshaaSiddique see I totally understand your situation, but the thing is if you already know the stuff you are studying, then you'll automatically get marks. There's no need to struggle a lot and put pressure on your head. Anyways you are scoring more than those who often judge people on the basis of marks.
The worst is when you topped in 10th and ended up scoring low in jee. That's the part i got shattered 😢. Now studying in tier 3 engineering college. That's relatable story. ❤

For me materialistic topper is one who is getting 100/100 in any examinations but the "real sense of a topper lies in the essence of making one's personality as per the circumstances and all brilliancy in all aspects of life." A topper sometimes can be a loser while a loser may be a topper other times.History proves it." This life philosophy we have to teach to our children.❤❤❤
Till 8th It is fun for us to top in the class. When we come in 9th we understand that the rank matters. And after that people start eXpecTinG that this will person will undoubtedly top again and that rank becomes a achievement for us that we have to achieve at any cost.. The fun fact is that even if we say thay we don't have studied for the exam friends are like : Are jaa jaa tu saale pura din padhta hi rehta hai sb pata hai hame is baar bhi krega tu top.. 😅
@@MyshaaSiddique Beacuse now-a-days these institutions have created so much fear in mind of parents that if their child wants to perform well in competitive exams in future then his/her base should be strong and pressure is put from 6th onwards.. Whether it's a rich person or a topper, an average person hates anyone who they see at a place they themselves admire, desire or see as powerful. They wallow in their own jealousy/struggle/pain, ignoring their own abilities and invalidating someone's else struggles and POV as arrogance/self-absorbed/pretentious. Everyone has their own struggles. Not the same struggle, but definitely not easy. The girl is so right about the experience. I loved her rant. It's so accurate.

By the passing days i have realised one thing that all the people who were friends with me or nice to me was just for academic help as time passed everyone changed lol i thought i had real friends but they all just used me
Damn! So relatable. This pressure of maintaining the scores and boosting them just burns the hell out of yourself. You have to participate in extra co curriculars secretly. The moment it goes below even 95 your whole worth is questioned.
been this girl all my school life, then realised in competition exams that being a class topper is a joke, live your life leave this 90% wala stress, to anyone under class 10 , enjoy ur teenage learn new stuff music sport or just in general life experiences , really nobody is going to give a damm whether it was 95 or 97 or just 80
@@rohith927usually in classes and schools That point of realisation comes when you are class topper or school topper and that time when you have time to prepare for competitive exam and higher grades in class becomes joke
I am so happy that Filtercopy finally chose to show the other side. The toppers are shamed for working hard day and night and securing a good future. I am glad they decided to make this video.
Indeed ! I was literally praying for such videos since there are bunch for the average ones but not for toppers bts story . I wish this video was long .
This is sadly so relatable. The feeling of seeing your parents unsatisfied although you score high, just not the top in class is really annoying and heartbreaking at the same time. For me, as a teacher's daughter, some still think I get high scores only because of my mom. Jealously, hate, mental attack, oh, these are real things. Fortunately, I still have some true friends, and most of my classmates are friendly.
To being a topper... Everyone 's Expectation Fear of failure Family pressure Stress Being alone Loss interest in other things Not attending party and weddings I tired and its hurting to much and i m now in class 12th ..and again expectation from me..
I was a topper but my friends were trouble makers so my student life was more or less a happy one. My friends are my backbone now, they are always there for me when i feel depressed.
Experienced this all and left being a topper. The family pressure is a main thing. Even if i share this, they will say i am causing a scene. parents pressure, peer pressure, teachers pressure. u cant even participate in a school competition or important days. its nice to be a topper at first but it will become exhausting one day. If u suddenly scored a low mark, u will become a disappointment. U cant enjoy normally like others. Depression will hit so hard and u will get no true friends. Even if u tell a truth, it will be a lie. so study without having stress about this, it will help u mentally a lot as well as physical. Hope u all get through this if u r experiencing it :)
That's right Getting good marks like 95% with enjoyment makes parents expect more ones And also when we get lower they make us sacrifice every enjoyments to score 100% in Every Test
Being a topper upto 10 th and average student after it is too heart breaking.....every one remember us only when they need our help in study and later delets our numbers.......calls us kitabi kida sharma ji ki beti and all its difficult to manage study and such stress but toppers remember you are the best ❤
Thankyou Filter copy. I always thought about this topic since my school days. Everyone knows and wants to know the struggle of a person who usually was not a big scorer or someone who couldn't pass the exams which is indeed a great journey when they over come such situations. Nobody realises, a topper gets hated by his friends, classmates and even to some extent his cousins because they are compared to the toppers and it is not even our fault. Nobody wanna talk about the feeling a 8 year old child feels because the people of his or her own age are just ignoring, hating on them for absolutely no reason and for absolutely nothing that they have done. Thankyou for addressing the issues that toppers face as well😇
Toppers want to be toppers It is their obsession I hope they just need to be happy what ever they do because country is always proud for those who work hard
I was good in my studies and in my 9th class I got first rank for the first time and from that time my teachers, parents and relatives expectations started raising and even though I secured very high marks in my 10th and 12th boards but still nobody told me that 'You did well', but what I heard was you could have done much better or you had not secured what we expected and at that time even I didn't appreciated myself for my hardwork. But when last year I totally lost my willingness to study, I couldn't get it what was happening to me, I wanted to study but couldn't do it, I was not able to help myself. It was so scary to me, for a girl who had only studied, who loved studying, suddenly lost her will to study. At that time I just realized that I was just running on a never ending path without any appreciation or care for myself. I basically took many days to get out of all these confusions and I realized that it was important to just say to myself that "Divi, You did a great job. Keep it up". Now this year I will be going for my masters and this time I hope I will do a great job along with loving my ownself. I don't think that anybody would read it but I just wanted to share what I had faced in last year which I think I will never be able to share it with anyone else and I just want to say to every student that you should work hard but along with that you must appreciate your hard work other than anybody else. Just love and cherish your ownself.
@@nurfrhdn Thank you for saying that. And if you are feeling the same way then just stay strong, you will definitely go through it and believe me you will be a better version of yourself. And don't forget to cherish youself and your hard work. Good Luck.
I just read the story it was literally heart touching ...you know I'm recently in 9 class soon going to give my board exam ....but the thing is that no matter how hard I work no one just appreciate me and I always think even if I score good will I be happy ? ...
That's so relatable. You have lots of burden over your head to live upto the expectations, but if you do not, you seem like a failure. If you get 98%, everyone asks about the rest 2%, no one appreciates the 98% you got. People think being a topper is amazing, but they are not aware of the reality that toppers have to face.
That's true they don't understand that other toppers in other schools also have different lucks being Topper in district or state and struggle for good marks is like this only
So so soo relatable man!! Let me share my story. From class 1 till 6th, i always used to secure either first or second rank in my class. Later, when this freaking lockdown came in my life and classes were online, i realised that I didn't have to study any more and i slowly started copying answers from textbooks and as my marks were extremely good, my parents were also happy. Later, when school suddenly opened in the middle of class 8th, i realised that I didn't study my whole class 7th and was not able to secure good, it was so horrible actually. No clarity in basic concepts and totally out of practice. Later I got out of the top 3 ranks, fell from 90% and at a point of in class 9th, i scored 65%. My god those horrible days, how my parents scolded me, how my friends, who once used to see me as there idol just ignored me as categorised me as a typical average students. My self respect had gone to hell. I really felt very sad when I saw those topper kids matching their exam answers and calculating each other's percentage and no one even asked me that time. This feeling of shame was eating me out. But slowly, it got normalised and now I feel happy being an ordinary kid as there is no pressure on me anymore 😊
My life was very up and down. I was topper (1st, not even 2nd) till class 5th. Then I took admission in other school with hostel and my rank dropped to 3rd rank (from last) in 6rh class. It remained till 7th class. In 8th class, I start studying and got in top 10. Progressively I came to top 3 students in 9th class and I remained there till pre boards of 12th class. I got 10th rank in 12th boards. Now in college, I am trying to be topper.
I was topper till 8th. 2019 me 9th start hua, lockdown lag gaye. I also didn't study those years. But my parents threw me in a coaching due to which I scored 93% in 10th boards. I took jee coaching, and I didn't have to study for 11th,, I got 89, my college managed someone Now I m in 12th, I have 2 papers remaining, and I expect 60% . I already failed jee mains. And now boards..... its fine, I get scolded, but it's ok, I don't wanna study. I wanna draw, I like drawing stuff. But those private coachings like Allen and all manipulated my parents into thinking that I should do engineering (jee) as i got 93 in 10th. Conclusion, don't let others tell you what you are supposed to do. You might not love wht you are doing, and end up delaying your task. 😊
Same vro!...but i didn't bother to copy much n hid my marks..in 8th I got my lowest marks which was 43/80...Then 9th started and I couldn't be hiding my marks obv.. I got 24/40 for maths and yh it was rlly bad in my house...but due to pressure and my constant effort I was able to climb up slowly...now I get above 90for maths...and I'm giving my boards at the moment(defo not watching TH-cam ryt now)
Thank you so so much filter copy for making this video! This is so relatable af! From those looks and backbitchings of classmates, to not being able to make any friends because all are busy in making fun of you, missing every family function, rather sacrificing every bit of enjoyment for petty assesments, the frustration when you get 0.5 marks less and that in unexplainable to anyone!!! No one can understand your situation rather they are busy in blaming you for you being "nerd" and not being able to match to their vibes! Feeling out of place every hell moment breaks you from inside and even that cannot be shared with anyone else you'll be judged and laughed at! Those struggles before every exam to score a 98/99 percentage and the frustration when you cannot score that, when you cannot meet your own expectations! You feel you are losing in life when you do not get "good marks" even in one exam! But there's no one to explain the fact to you that its very common, to not do good always, to be unable to match vibes with others in a particular environment.... I have faced all of this and admit it does hurt to a great extent! But I thank myself that I have realised the reality now! Thank you so much @Filter copy for this video
Can relate to this part when we study and put in all the hard work we don't want to give it up to someone else that easily people need to understand this!!! 3:24
Yes! For those people who copy...it's just a small thing cuz they didn't work for that...but those who study know the pain of getting punished for such a small thing too.
I know the feeling and pain of a Topper.... Sometimes it's suffocating but know way out..... Nice try Team... Keep it up... Filter copy never disappoints me
Don't mind but they also accept the fact that they manage their life with studies & not the vice versa And if there's the matter to manage life; they won't get much time for these YT comments...
That monologue part hits the most. The worst part is that if your a topper, you ought not to fail someone. Your parents, your teachers and yourself. And if somehow you fail in that criteria, everyone starts doubting your caliber and your hard work. They will soon start finding loops in your hard work. It's not the jealousy from others that pushes us, ITS THE BLOODY HIGH EXPECTATIONS. Very relatable.❤
What hurts the most is when you become an average student from being a topper. when everyone has high expectations but you are not living upto it, it just makes you feel like a disappointment.

The biggest nightmare for toppers is when they start failing after class 11, after having raised everyone's expectations. So, to my juniors below class 10, please don't aim to be at the top; being average can be helpful later on.

That's great u have great parents.

Even without 100% you can survive. Unless and untill you have made your dream to achieve greater success in competitive exams and get admission in very very very good University, prioritising 100% and losing your sanity over small mistakes is not worth it.

Also when u studied so hard but 2 or 3 mark question was left behind cause of less time 😢😢😢
I got 97% and my mom asked where did the 3% go.

Whenever I think of it, my eyes are filled with tears.

i am glad that all this incidents didn't happened with me because my friends were soo supportive.

Yeah !! 😅my classmates call me teacher ki chamchi and all of what you mentioned and although I never show I care about it but deep down it hurts ..
You know what , some students really are of that kind. I believe one should be a topper like Rancho and not be like Chatur.

I did top my batch in 9th but luckily my parents are not like that...they care more about effort than marks. Super grateful for them.

Absolutely not:(
Don't study ONLY for marks
Marks on a sheet of paper without understanding anything you studied is just like a car without an engine, bottle without water, pen without a refill, a book without pages.
Same for me nobody cares about what i like they just see our marks and those names hurt really much then getting scolded after studying so much we think that we are a disappointment life is absolutely not easy for us even making friends is hard for us and yes we do not love to study we also like social media and sports but the society will never understand us 😢😢😢😢😢😢
They say not to take stress but they should realise they shouldn’t give us so much stress 😢😢😢😢
As a former topper I'll say If you’re still in school my advice is change your lifestyle. Fk society and expectations just have fun.

I got 97.7% in jee this year

For me materialistic topper is one who is getting 100/100 in any examinations but the "real sense of a topper lies in the essence of making one's personality as per the circumstances and all brilliancy in all aspects of life." A topper sometimes can be a loser while a loser may be a topper other times.History proves it."
This life philosophy we have to teach to our children.❤❤❤
Till 8th It is fun for us to top in the class. When we come in 9th we understand that the rank matters. And after that people start eXpecTinG that this will person will undoubtedly top again and that rank becomes a achievement for us that we have to achieve at any cost..
The fun fact is that even if we say thay we don't have studied for the exam friends are like : Are jaa jaa tu saale pura din padhta hi rehta hai sb pata hai hame is baar bhi krega tu top.. 😅
Sooo true yaar 😔👍
Dude thats so relatable
So relatable but till 8th also its not fun to top its like people have so many expectations from u and u need to fullfill it no matter what
@@MyshaaSiddique Beacuse now-a-days these institutions have created so much fear in mind of parents that if their child wants to perform well in competitive exams in future then his/her base should be strong and pressure is put from 6th onwards..
Earlier, Till 8th the syllabus was not so hard that to take tension..
As a topper last line is true😅
Finally someone who understands "topper" and the monologue of Tanya...thats soo apt....
Hurts even harder when you come off a well to do family and become the topper...

Universal truth

When you are at the top, no one wants to hang out with you. It's sad but I made sure the toppers I knew had a semblance of fun.
It's not true bro I am a topper in my class but still I hang out and play with my friends and they don't take me for granted
If you focus only being on top then yeah no one will hang out with you. But if you do everything in a balance then you can achieve the same dream with a really good social life
Same thing happens with me

Damn! So relatable. This pressure of maintaining the scores and boosting them just burns the hell out of yourself. You have to participate in extra co curriculars secretly. The moment it goes below even 95 your whole worth is questioned.
been this girl all my school life, then realised in competition exams that being a class topper is a joke, live your life leave this 90% wala stress,
to anyone under class 10 , enjoy ur teenage learn new stuff music sport or just in general life experiences , really nobody is going to give a damm whether it was 95 or 97 or just 80
thanks di for such humble opinion

very true ! Running behind marks and ranks is useless
Its not about people its about you. If scoring high makes u happy then go for it, but scoring high for others is utter stupidity.
@@rohith927usually in classes and schools
That point of realisation comes when you are class topper or school topper and that time when you have time to prepare for competitive exam and higher grades in class becomes joke
"Tell you you're the Greatest... But once you turn they hate us" -Dan Reynolds
To being a topper...
Everyone 's Expectation
Fear of failure
Family pressure
Stress
Being alone
Loss interest in other things
Not attending party and weddings
I tired and its hurting to much and i m now in class 12th ..and again expectation from me..
Well what exactly matters is career
@@ItzBeryl but after 10th
I was a topper but my friends were trouble makers so my student life was more or less a happy one. My friends are my backbone now, they are always there for me when i feel depressed.
So lucky
That's right
Getting good marks like 95% with enjoyment makes parents expect more ones
And also when we get lower they make us sacrifice every enjoyments to score 100% in Every Test

😂😂😂i don't have such type of parents 😂😂😂
I am in your situation. Keep fighting, toppers. This world is harsh, but know that you are not alone

This video portrays my life before 11th std perfectly, Extremely relatable
That's so relatable. You have lots of burden over your head to live upto the expectations, but if you do not, you seem like a failure. If you get 98%, everyone asks about the rest 2%, no one appreciates the 98% you got. People think being a topper is amazing, but they are not aware of the reality that toppers have to face.
That's true they don't understand that other toppers in other schools also have different lucks being Topper in district or state and struggle for good marks is like this only
mujhe bhahut achha laga.. story, narreation our acting.. hats of to director and artists..
Same bro 😂😂 me bhi topper tha lekin class 7 me he lockdown suru hogeya Aur online exam me textbook khol kar cheating karta tha 😂😂😂
Same bro... 😫🙂
I was topper till 8th. 2019 me 9th start hua, lockdown lag gaye. I also didn't study those years. But my parents threw me in a coaching due to which I scored 93% in 10th boards.
I took jee coaching, and I didn't have to study for 11th,, I got 89, my college managed someone
Now I m in 12th, I have 2 papers remaining, and I expect 60% .

If all the toppers are here then who is studying😅😂
why toppers are not always studying....
Umm...why do you think that toppers always study??...they don't even have the right to scroll?? 😭😢
Don't mind but they also accept the fact that they manage their life with studies & not the vice versa
And if there's the matter to manage life; they won't get much time for these YT comments...
The worst feeling is when your siblings were the toppers and they scored 90+% and now others are expecting from you this feeling🥺😖
